Why are GM Water Pump failing @ 61k miles 2019 Chevy Trax

    I replaced the water pump in my cruze. I opened up the box the water pump came in and traced the pump with a marker and punched out the bolt holes for the pump. Put the bolts in the holes so I knew where each one went.

      @@halffast7799 that’s normally the plan however I made the mistake of doing all this work before I even had the new one. Good job on that. Someone will read this comment and you saved them a head ache.

      That’s crazy. I just worked in another one today. Valve cover gasket leaking causing p0171 code.

      @@Ratclawz it’s actually not that bad. Worst part is torque those stupid little bolts. Get that jack under the engine to support it and zap those mounts off with a half inch then lift the engine higher with the jack. That’ll be good enough room
