This video has aged extremely well and the timing was perfect. Someone listening to this video would have been saved immensely from the carnage affecting crypto rn.
In hindsight, the reward is not worth the risk, but that was also true before, and not a lot of guys made the simple point (and you don’t need to be a financial genius to understand this) that if the interest rate seemed too good to be true, it was a risky venture. Otherwise, such a vast spread over the risk-free rate didn’t add up.
A couple years ago there was a risk-free way to make 20%+ annualized returns with the bitcoin / GBTC pairs trade, but that trade is no longer available to generate returns. So the trading strategies shifted from arb to speculative.
@@projectfinance isn't there a fee imposed to export your assets out on a cold wallet? also to import them back? seems like its a lose/lose situation for me.
@@ultimatums1 Yeah you'll pay a fee to the network for including your transaction in a block, but it's tiny as of now. If you are trying to actively trade your crypto then you wouldn't want to have them in cold storage. The exchange is best. But if you're trying to secure your holdings long-term and not actively trade them then cold storage is the way to go.
You're right. But by "crypto" you mean the 19,000+ altcoins that aren't bitcoin and are run by a small group of people who are loading their bags. Bitcoin is not the same.

Comment section is filled with scammers 🔥
As usual
Because the entire crypto "industry" has turned into a pile of hot garbage
This proves that the crypto industry needs regulations
@@iamtheonewhoknocks4288 no it proves YT needs better spam bot detection. Crypto isn't the problem, it's the solution.
@@CuulX how come these scammers always talk about crypto? Why never stocks or options??

this aged well
At last, a "this aged well" that isn't sarcasm 😂
You anticipated my question about continued use of BlockFi for interest on stablecoin, thanks!
I'd get out! Thanks for watching.
Bitconnect 2.0
I hold my net worth on ftx lol
If you're actively trading it's necessary to keep your stuff on exchanges :D
misleading and clickbait video. this doesn't apply to coinbase. please correct the video title.
Yes, it does apply to Coinbase. How does it not apply there? Are you holding your private keys when your crypto is at coinbase?
@@projectfinance you said lending services. didn't say any crypto exchange.
@@ultimatums1 True. While it's much better to have your assets in an exchange wallet vs. the lenders at this point, it's still a risk.
