Yeah same, I also get the same vibes with Blast Man's theme, Like when I listen to it I can't help but think of the first cutscene, with Dr. Light saying "If I install this into your circuits you may be able to stop him" due to the Pre Order Trailer
I didn't even spoil myself I just knew the theme from Block Man When I played the full game for the first time I just assumed that the trailer theme (my favorite) was from Fuse Man I just knew it
I just wish the game's OST had more diversity. Like, all 4 wily stages have the same song. Granted, it's the second best song in the game in my opinion, but I would've appreciated more tracks. Also, besides the wily stages and fuse man, only a few tracks stand out to me. When I play megaman, I need a really hard rock soundtrack that makes me wanna headbang as I hum along. Gives me the energy to fight robots. Megaman music should be badass, and should always sound great on an electric guitar. It's a shame that only 2 tracks seem to really meet that standard. And I don't see why they couldn't do better. Obviously it wasn't a budget issue, and they had like 8 years to make this game so it definitely wasn't time either. It almost feels like they cut some corners just so they could focus on the gameplay being amazing. And if that's the reason, then fine, I'd much rather have solid gameplay. But the stages that end up being the most memorable to me are always the ones with the best tracks. Another example is how the animations in some cutscenes almost feel like they were rushed or something. Like, when a cutscene in Light's Lab ends, Megaman doesn't teleport away like he does in other games. We just get a fade to black. And in the end, we don't even see Wily's castle explode. Yeah this is all nitpicky stuff but the little details really make Megaman games for me. That being said, I still love the shit outta this game
Hard rock is usually Mega Man X's thing. Mega Man Classic is more experimental with its music as evident in both this, Mega Man 8 and Mega Man 7 to a certain extent.
@@MaximumSpider19 even at it's worst, Megaman 10 to 1 (yes that includes 7, 8 and & Bass) have AMAZING, easily recognizable soundtracks, Megaman 11 sadly every single song sounds exactly the same, and it's not because the melodies are bad, it's because the instrumentation is terrible.
The soundtrack was pretty diverse for how short it was to me, in my opinion, I think hat ruined it was the use of the techno babble as the music style.
It’s funny how the people who complain about there being one wily stage are also the people who find the soundtrack to be meh. I’m not complaining at anyone who is having an opinion I’m just curious on why people wanted more wily stage themes when they probably would be as forgettable to them as the rest of the soundtrack. (Even though I personally disagree with there be only two good tracks though that’s just my silly opinion)
Some of the music is very repetitive, like a few stages having the same beat and sounding more like EDM. It's all dependent on whether or not you like that kinda stuff, I like this arrangement though man, good stuff.
That's actually what I was really trying to avoid when I arranged this. Usually I'd use an electronic kit for electric theme stages, but I felt like it would have restricted this track a lot more.
I don't think the problem is the music being good or bad, I think it's just modern music can't be as recognisable and instantly marking as 8-bit and 16-bits tracks with less instruments and simplier melodies. Megaman was all about doing good games with simple 40s loop music and simple gameplay with amazing level design putting it over the top. This "sfc arrengement" is really demonstrating this IMO, a more complex music is just harder to remember, and people go like "it's not taking me away instantly like the older ones, so it's bad". It took me a few gameplay hours to appreciate it, but I absolutely love this OST now. So thanks for this arrangement !
Yeah, originally the soundtrack didn't click with me but after some time in the oven good lord I love it The exception is Fuse Man's theme, that was love at first listen
I'm one of those people who absolutely loves the music. Yes, even the instrumentation. That aside, I love this remix. It gives it a completely different feel to me. Here's hoping you do more from this game!
Well Synthescissor, you get your 50th like from me! Every single one of your arrangements are amazing, and you stick true to your originality, unlike modern musicians. Great job on this one, keep up the great synthwork!
Synthescissor you never cease to amaze me. Your tracks are amazing. I see that every time you get better and better. The underside of Mega Man X fits perfectly into your tracks. I always adored Mega Man for the soundtracks, and you do everything at times on top. They sound very epic and you want to listen to them all the time. Good luck with your activities ;)
This music/remix sounds amazing! Personally in my opinion I don't really have a problem with the soundtrack a little bit it sounds pretty decent my favorite ones are impact man, blast man, fuse man, tundra man, and acid man. I mean yeah they could've done more with the game music, cutscenes, and stages and more but the game is still good regardless and plus we got a new mega man game be happy guys.
Wow, this is rly good ngl, def an improvement over the original i think I really wish megaman 11 didn't use the instruments it does, since they really downgrade the songs, which are really well crafted.

To be honest I don't even know what to say. Fantastic.
