I am so grateful to be able to watch this right now. Iasia is my dear friend from high school. This is my first time hearing her story from her mouth. I remember the days she did not return to school. I am speechless hearing the details of this horrific story. Thank you ladies for using your platform to share her story. Thank you GOD for keeping her!
This womans story was harrowing, and I pray she continues to live a life of purpose and to have peace and joy in abundance. So incredibly brave of her to share and it's clear shes spent a lot of time understanding and educating herself on how these awful things happen and how to prevent for others. I mean no disrespect to the interviewers and i really hope they hear this from the good place it is coming from. I have to question people about sensitive matters for my work, and its not easy. An awkward question or sensitive question can be softened by even a pause, an apology, offer of encouragement. I know they did at the end, I just noticed there was many points I feel that would have been helpful to this lady. There were points where it seemed she was struggling and I just wish they picked up on that a little more. Yes the lady was taking a little long to get to the point at times, and it's a story you want to hear, but honestly the fact she was sharing her story give her all the time love and encouragement that she requires.
When i say i literally came to the comments to see if anyone was thinki the same thing i jus thought i was thinking to much into it because of how sensitive the story was 🤦🏾♀️
Wow I said the same thing and I started to bring it up in the comments but I didn’t want to argue with the ppl who would say “that doesn’t matter” when it most def matters. 😩
I can tell by the comments that many of us have a lot to learn about emotional intelligence. You don't conduct an interview with a sexual assault survivor as if it's BAU (Business as usual). You don't over-investigate to uncover personal details of their experience. Some of the questions you all have can be answered through articles. Other questions really aren't your business, it's intrusive. It's also possible she has a clause for interviews not to be asked certain questions. I applaud Iasia for sharing her experience, her spirit is pure & full of wisdom. The host did an excellent job.🌹✨
Thank you! It's her story to tell, how she chooses, not ours! May SiStar Iaisa and her family continue to be blessed beyond measure and healed completely, mentally, spiritually and physically 🙏💜
OMG!! The strength she had to endure everything and be able to share her story is amazing. It is chilling to hear that this enslavement started as a casual connection for her. This world is so cold.😢
It takes a lot of grit and tenacity and willpower to come back from such extreme trauma. I am awed at Iasia's eloquence and strength, but also so respectful of the journey she undoubtedly travelled to get there. Opening up about trauma is its own trauma. It's not a salacious story that everyone needs to hear the juicy details. It was a horrific, demoralizing, dehumaizing, traumatic experience that requires patience & compassion to dig through. I hope that her sharing what details her mental capacity allows is a victory, overcoming and triumph to her, showing her captors that she had the will to rise from the ashes of the despair they left her to burn in. I am so impressed and grateful to her and the show for recognizing the need of this story as a cautionary tale. When your parents hold a bit too tight and you want to break free, remember the place where they come from is of love and fierce protection because they know predators such as these Iasia dealt with continue to walk among us. Where is Oprah and Tyler Perry on this, because this story needs a broader, even global reach. The young girls who need to hear might not be watching or listening. This needs to be shouted from the rooftops. Be forewarned. Be forearmed. Never give up. Do what you must to survive, but never lose sight of who you are. This interview gave so much if you can relate to standing in her shoes even in the slightest. Looking forward to sharing knowledge from this story to help others. 💛 ✨️💝✨️

What was her family’s reaction reuniting? 4. How did her after life go? 5. How did she learn to re love and trust people again? 6. Did she ever try to commit suicide or even wish she was dead to stop the pain? 7. Do her kids ask questions about the situation? 8. Is the family in jail today or still out in Public preying on young girls? 9. Did she ever ask the dad or any of them “why they chose her”? 10. Did the boys mom know about the dads doings and that’s why they separated? Hope you guys ask some, I’d love to tune in and know the answers! 🫶🏽

Okay I made it through the entire segment. I went through so many emotions that are still circling inside me now. I am touched and I cried and I felt such respect and inspiration to continue my learning of the trafficking world because I really need to be apart of the solution before my time on this earth comes to an end. All children, young boys and girls...young women need to be protected. Should not feel forgotten. Should not be treated as someone's object. Our lives are so precious and we are so unique. Why does she keep saying courted. She wasnt courted she was GROOMED. I just wish some reading around the topic to gather some information before interviewing. Ladies courting is very different to grooming
I definitely want to hear more of her story. When she says that he told her they prayed 2xs/ day and she started looking up to their family…BINGO. There goes the grooming. Shaping her thoughts and sewing seeds to make her wander off mentally which would then turn physical. Geeesh
Toastmasters-ish critique, I was watching the interview and noticed some things that affected the delivery of this incredible story. I hope this helps your podcast. Great topic, great guest. Finishing her sentences took away from the interview. Direct questions get more direct answers. The loaded question that @38:35 would have been great if it was dissected. Maybe she could have even answered those questions but another question was added to the group of unanswered questions at 40:05 & at 40:24 a rabbit hole was entered, cut off at & statement finished 42:45, another loaded question at 45:38 then 48:32 hit with another question without answering the plethora of previous questions. Great job emphasizing such as important point at 50:50. At 54:28 why didnt you go back to any of your unanswered questions instead of asking new ones? @57:35 & @58:33 great example of a detailed question. Great wrap up at the end. The interview was very interesting. Looking forward to your growth as interviewers.
“It gets way worse.” Interviewers ask no questions about what she means. They request zero examples. They all go on about God and purpose but still very little about the actual story the audience came to hear about. Keep Part 2 if it’s anything like the nothingness of Part 1.
This is also common in Eastern Europe. Men and boys pretending to by your boyfriend for months before selling you off into sex trafficking rings. That’s crazy.
So many questions for her family...what measures did they take after she wad gone, did this boy continue to keep up with the family/ stop talking to the family?????😢
Dear Lord, I pray she come into the full knowledge of Christ Jesus. Thank you Lord for bringing her out of the grip of evil. Show her your face and the truth of you. Bless your name forever, in Jesus's name Amen.
What a story, such a blessing she lived to tell the story. We have all been gullible, but for God, this could have been any one of us. You can’t trust people or their intentions. I know women that purposely put themselves in harm’s way everyday. Father protect us from evil. She is so wise and poised. I know she has gotten the help she needed. Bless her…❤
Thanks for the comments and heads up. I have an...info intake problem? My mind can't do cliffhangers. Leaves my brain "walking in circles", is the best I can explain. And if I watched this with no true questions answered, my mind would be walking for days!! Just truly thankful she is home with family, friends and God who was with her always!
I’m intrigued by this young woman’s testimony. So glad this woman was set free. But I’m confused by this whole interview process. Comments like “This will save souls “ but soon after “are you a pisces?” “Manifesting by law of attraction “ conversations. I had many questions… I had to stop the podcast, go find the actual story for clarification, go back… So many unanswered questions… sooo many mixed messages… but I think the good thing is that it shines a light on this story that I heard nothing about previously.
Thanks for watching. As we’re sure you noticed this was a 3 part conversation. Her story is so layered it has to be broken up. These aren’t “interviews.” They are conversations. 💜 Thanks for tuning in.

He told me he had children but not one photo of his children was anywhere around his home. He had a huge Nuwabian Bible displayed on his bedroom dresser. His home smelled like heavy incense. He worshipped Dr. Malachi York like he was God. This feeling overwhelmed me while I was there so I literally jetted outside his home and called a cousin to pick me up. He also lived in Georgia and spoke pyramids on huge acres of land owned by the Nuwabians in GA. When I was in his home I sensed danger and ran. He tried to stalk me afterwards.

I was not invested until 39:31 when she mentioned nuwabians. I was raised by this cult and the leader Malachi Z York. I got out when I was 16. To think tht he has followers out there, tht was brainwashed into this way of thinking to do this to her is sickening
Hearing her story makes me shutter on the inside god truly watched over the young woman version of me because so many times this could have happened to me
I'm actually frustrated with this interview and can understand the sentiments of other comments. So much information was left out due to interruptions and not just letting her tell her story.
They found her because of the child she had. The father was starving all of them. The child died, and the police investigated and found out that she was also being starved she only weighed 59 lbs and very weak. The father was some kind of cult leader. He and his daughter are arrested. The daughter was following the father order not to give them food. The only thing is the police is saying she was a runaway. But who knows.
A part 2????😭 I hope she goes into a day in the life. What does a day look like In a hotel room for 4 years? Is it a suite with a kitchenette? Thanks for sharing.
@@CB-gl5xn I posted my question. It doesn't matter in such a grave situation but I'm curious about how they survived. She did say he cut down on her food. How did the captor manage to keep a family in there for 4 years, keep a low profile and not get caught? So glad that she's here and even brave enough to tell us about her story. I'm looking forward to part 2.
People dont get involved, the hotel may have been involved, its not uncommon for a family to live in a hotel, among other things. Youd be surprised the things that people get away with.
They didn't ask any pertinent questions. This is serious. Sex trafficking is serious. Having someone on your podcast that went through something so harrowing, at least do research, ask questions. Just constant repeating what the victim said.
What kind of story this this? Why was she going around like that? She just trying to let us know that she is smart but what girl tell the story and stop beating around the Bush tf.
I feel terribly sad for her. Is this a Christian podcast? If so, there is much mixture and carnality. The hosts also seemed insensitive by rushing her story and talking over her, though they didn't even ask all of the proper questions. It's clear that the woman was placed in witchcraft unwillingly and needs to go through deliverance to sever all ties with the demons the wicked man brought into her life. Holy spirit can absolutely heal and "the law of attraction" and its cousins are demonic and witchcraft. Those terms are not biblical and should not be used, especially because they can further agitate the situation. Much prayer.

Thanks for listening and your feedback. We gave Iasia the floor to just speak and tell her story 💜
Love how her face lights up when talking about her foundation. ❤🙏🏽
When she says that he told her they prayed 2xs/ day and she started looking up to their family…BINGO. There goes the grooming. Shaping her thoughts and sewing seeds to make her wander off mentally which would then turn physical. Geeesh
No weapon formed shall prosper 🙌🏽
What about her mother she just didn’t care after she turned 17 w/o graduating highschool… 4 years gone wtfff
🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 I want to hear her WHOLE journey and tragic experiences! GOD bless her and her family
God continue to protect her beautiful soul ❤
So heartbreaking and I am so angry for this young lady right now.
Yes, we definitely need a part 2!!
😮😮
So many questions for her family...what measures did they take after she wad gone, did this boy continue to keep up with the family/ stop talking to the family?????😢
I'm speechless, moved and inspired. Book please. Movie please. Part 2 please.
Would love to hear the full story with better questions and details about her journey. Needs better interviewers.
Father wasn’t there.smh shame on her dad. He’s to blame if he is alive or mentality capable. Single moms can’t do it all
Lasia...I pray you are blessed. I pray you are healed. I pray you have peace. Sending love and light....💚
Why was son not charged???
This story is …. My God 😢
Omg he was a Nuwabian! I almost dated a Nuwabian once and was totally freaked out when I went to his home. I got the heck out of there!
Omg! What was in his home?
@@itsnegotiablepodbare walls with only diety-like photos of Dr. Malachi York (founder of the Nuwabians who is currently in prison for sex abuse of minors) around the house.
What is Nuwabian?
19:01 a man would’ve protected his daughter it’s a shame. Her mom was not equipped. I would’ve been at the boys house daily once she said she likes him. I would’ve met the dad and took a tour of their house.
A man, a father, did this to her…
John 14:27
May Gods peace cover you. Beautiful woman. Walk with God.
2010: Family tell DeKalb County police Iasia Sweeting, 18 at the time, was abducted, but investigators classify her as a runaway.
2014: Gwinnett County police find Sweeting starving in a Peachtree Corners hotel, along with three malnourished children, after Calvin Mcintosh brought a starved baby, which was his and Sweeting's, to a hospital. The baby died. Mcintosh is also accused of impregnating his 23-year-old daughter.
2015: Mcintosh is indicted on charges of murder, criminal attempt to commit murder, cruelty to children - first degree (four counts), aggravated battery, false imprisonment and incest.
2018: The trial for Mcintosh begins this week in Gwinnett County Superior Court.
I was not invested until 39:31 when she mentioned nuwabians. I was raised by this cult and the leader Malachi Z York. I got out when I was 16. To think tht he has followers out there, tht was brainwashed into this way of thinking to do this to her is sickening
New subscriber! Love the work y’all are doing ❤️ keep being obedient ladies!
So glad you got out and able to tell your story
My goodness! She is so long winded and beats around the bush.
How would you explain a traumatic experience if you were in her shoes?? People are so harsh with their comments, and lack compassion and sympathy.
Because her story is a lie. I don’t believe this.
You need help …. When it happens to you come and open your mouth and talk faster
The 59 pounds though she was starving to death
The judge, hospital, and cps should get sued
Hearing her story makes me shutter on the inside god truly watched over the young woman version of me because so many times this could have happened to me
I'm actually frustrated with this interview and can understand the sentiments of other comments. So much information was left out due to interruptions and not just letting her tell her story.
Can we also get an update on her mom? Did her mom look for her? Did law enforcement look for her?
They found her because of the child she had. The father was starving all of them. The child died, and the police investigated and found out that she was also being starved she only weighed 59 lbs and very weak. The father was some kind of cult leader. He and his daughter are arrested. The daughter was following the father order not to give them food. The only thing is the police is saying she was a runaway. But who knows.
A part 2????😭 I hope she goes into a day in the life. What does a day look like In a hotel room for 4 years? Is it a suite with a kitchenette? Thanks for sharing.
What does it matter if there was a kitchenette- are you serious?
@@CB-gl5xn I posted my question. It doesn't matter in such a grave situation but I'm curious about how they survived. She did say he cut down on her food. How did the captor manage to keep a family in there for 4 years, keep a low profile and not get caught? So glad that she's here and even brave enough to tell us about her story. I'm looking forward to part 2.
People dont get involved, the hotel may have been involved, its not uncommon for a family to live in a hotel, among other things. Youd be surprised the things that people get away with.
@@rasheedalawrence2827they weren’t a family tho. A kitchenette most definitely matters in this instance
Google Lasia Sweeting Kidnapping...
I'm really sorry what happened to this lady
They didn't ask any pertinent questions. This is serious. Sex trafficking is serious. Having someone on your podcast that went through something so harrowing, at least do research, ask questions. Just constant repeating what the victim said.
The interviewing referencing the Bible scripture pissed me off because why are you diverting from her story.
This is by far their most viewed story. Congratulations i had to do further research.
What kind of story this this? Why was she going around like that? She just trying to let us know that she is smart but what girl tell the story and stop beating around the Bush tf.
Cause she still hurt.Who can just tell a story with out beating around the bush.😒
I’m gonna see this with my children definitely so we can learn prevent be aware
They asking questions , she just answering them and talking about what she wanna talk about .
Can someone please drop the name of her non-profit, I couldn’t hear it clearly
Iasia Sweeting Non- Profit is called Sealed With A Purpose
Where’s part two, ain’t no way you leave us like this for a week…
Just WOW! 😮
I look to the Word of God🙏
On the edge of my seat 😩😩😩wow
