I don't know how and why Yutube gave me this video into recommended to watch section. But hey man, your videos are great! They are smooth, the picture is very nice, I can clearly see the value of it.
For me reading books was always an amazing activity especially when I was young I didn't have a cell phone or a computer and books were everything. Now, in 2019 I read like 4 books in a year but started 8 and it was very difficult to focus and actually finish the book. I watched a few more videos of yours and I hope to read 19 to 23 books in a year 2020 and hope this goal will become a reality.
    Thank you so much Nelson,
    All the best to you.

Love your videos! As for what books most inspired me and/or impacted my own life, that's a bit difficult to narrow down. I've been an avid reader since childhood. But, I'll give it a go. 'Jonathon Livingston Seagull'by Richard Bach, 'Surely You're Joking, Mr. Feynman' by Richard P. Feynman, 'The Tao of Physics' by Fritjof Capra, 'A Beginner's Guide to Constructing the Universe' by Michael S. Schneider, 'Musashi' by Eiji Yoshikawa. Those are just a few that I can think of off the top of my head.

This came in perfect timing, I was just thinking about what memory book I should get next (Remember It was great!). On another note, I find your content to be the easiest to digest when it comes to memory techniques, and the way you can just be yourself on camera makes your channel both entertaining and very informative. I recently learned Morse Code and how to memorize colors in a deck of cards from you, thank you for your content and please keep it coming!

The Game was amazing. It is like a novel but you know it happened in real life. I always want to know whether something actually happened, that is why I enjoy autobiographies. Also it gave me the feeling that I belonged in the group, which was great. I will read it again!

Great presentation. Interesting mix of books. My two are Managing the Software Process by Watts Humphrey. Great read on process and producing products, whether software or not. The other is The Fifth Discipline by Peter Senge. If you want to understand how systems work, it's a groundbreaking read.

You should create a video on the effects of aging and if you have noticed any discernable differences in your cognitive capacity as you have aged. It would be interesting information coming from a memory athlete and someone that is so in-tune with their own cognition.

    Hey,
This book has nothing to do with memory training. It is "Dune" from Frank Herbert. It showed me the power of religion and why it is such a powerful (and sometimes dangerous) game.
The books from Richard Wiseman are very good as well. The game from Neil Strauss sounds interesting, thanks. I will give it a try.
Thanks for the video. My memory training stucked for a while and I should give it a reboot.

Hay Nelson, I have a question. I was wondering how you read a book during your every day life; I just finished watching your speed reading video, and I was wondering if its not a good idea to speed read all books. Do you think you should take more time reading some books for different reasons? or do you just speed read everything?
    Appreciate your time.

    • @NelsonDellis
      @NelsonDellis  4 года назад +4

Hey Jacob, yes definitely. I don't think you should speed read all things. Probably most things I wouldn't, either because they are more dense topics or they are books I want to savor a little more. I think there is a time and place to read something quickly. In my case, this was a book I wanted to read but didn't really care all too much about it. So boom, I just went for it and I actually enjoyed it that way.

Thank you Nelson for this great video!
I work in IT and we use a list of around 50 projects and 400 tasks which are constantly changing. We order this list based on priority, so on top are always most important projects and within these projects are ordered tasks. As I said their order changes weekly. What is more, additional projects and new tasks are added constantly. Each project and task has its own detailed descriptions.
Do you think memory palace technique is suitable for such a situation? If not what other technique would you recommend? If you think memory palace is still perfect for such situation how would you adapt it for it to work in my case?
Appreciate any ideas and suggestions 🙏🏼
