Dunno why people are slating it, Aloe blacks was worse! This had a You Me At Six twist, there are places I think Chris' voice suits it better but I appreciate this "cover" it's not trying to be the original and that's defeating the object isn't it?! I wouldn't say it or this for that matter are awful but I agree that I don't think they're at their strongest at all when they do acoustic stuff, whether it be covers or acoustic versions of their originals. Heck even their slow songs which are written to be acoustic are some of my least favourites of theirs. They come across (especially Josh) as much more confident and comfortable when they have the full rock band sound :)
Luke Humphrys Actually i do like that cover, but he sucks in it. He's hideously sharp the whole time. I like their slow stuff and in their bigger gigs they're much better and he's able to sing with more control. I don't know if he doesn't warm up or if he can't hear himself during these recordings but his singing is consistently out of tune, and as a result Luke on backing vocals harmonising with him sounds awful too and it all sounds really dissonant. I reckon you're right in that they're probably more comfortable in their rock situations than these vibes, but my biggest issue with a performance like this is: Considering he is the "Singer" in this band, no other instruments etc, and he can't even get THAT right then it isn't a good sign...

But yeah, unless it's a special theme week (like their Brits week) unless its been on the playlist recently, you can't cover it
