so the Ross has a straight pull bolt which means you also don't have to un-scope and it wont delay the reload. I will always un-scope regardless because it helps with situational awareness but if that's an important feature for you then it's one more reason to consider using the rifle.
LevelCapGaming Levelcap hasn't even mentioned the super-low muzzle velocity of the ross mk. III. Without having the symthic stats available yet, i can tell the muzzle velocity of the ross must be around the one of the gewehr m.95 (620m/sec) or even lower. Its like playing dart. Still a super neat rifle, tho, but this should be said.
The Gewehr M95 is my favorite rifle in this game for everything it offers... But it doesn't have a sweet spot! The Ross might just be the rifle for me!
Jonathon Nabajeth th m95 is crazy, indeed and it has a "hidden" advantage that NOONE ever mentioned, but which is almost better than a sweetspot: It has a higher forearm- and leg damage multiplier than ANY other scout-weapon exept the 1895 trench (0,93 than 0,75). Sounds subtle, but in fact, you will almost always gain at least a "assist counts as kill", no matter how bad you hit (expect you hit the leg/forearm at very long ranges). And enemies must be less pre-damaged to get one-hitted. The lower body and upper arm multiplier is higher too.
Just curious why would you use the straight pull rifles if you are just gonna un-scope regardless of the situation? I can totally understand that yeah you definitely got to zoom out for situational awareness. If I was using any other sniper(besides the m.95) I wouldn't of been able to defend the position as well.
LevelCapGaming they thought realistically when doing the damage model the American enfield shot the same 30.06 cartridge as the 1903 while the Ross shares the .303 British rou d which is slower and not as accurate at range. The 1917 is the same weapon SGT Alvin York carried. I'll be putti g that into a Loadout for you to try
The M1917 Enfield is basically the M1903 Infantry. It’s also not really an American SMLE. It’s based off of the British P14 rifle, which was supposed to replace the Lee Enfield, but WWI started, so the Lee Enfield remained standard issue. When the USA entered, they were already manufacturing P14s, so it made sense to convert them to .30-06 Springfield. Because of the shortage of 1903 Springfields, the M1917 Enfield was actually the more commonly seen rifle in the hands of the Americans by a 3:1 ratio.
Glad someone posted this, I wanted to do the same but didn't want to double up on the info. Another tidbit, the P17 actually will hold 6 rounds in the magazine, a nice side effect of rechambering for .30-06 as it is not a rimmed cartridge and .303 Brit is. I was impressed they got that right in the game.
The base version is called the "Vickers Q.F. Gun Mk.II" nicknamed the "Rocket Gun". The AT Rocket Gun is a variant that specializes at anti-tank which makes it an AT Rocket Gun. The Apocalypse DLC variant specializes at anti-air which makes it an AA Rocket Gun, not an AT Rocket Gun that just so happens to shoot AA ammo.
John Hitler Yeah, the sweetspot mechanic and different velocity for each round actually do a decent job representing the real rounds, even if the performance is exaggerated for gameplay
The 1917 Enfield is a rechambered version of the Pattern 14, not the SMLE. The Pattern 14 was a rifle the British intended to replace the SMLE as their standard infantry rifle, in order to compete with the long range fire power of the German Mauser. However, the war taking place not long after derailed those plans.
The parabellum has a very similar reload to the IMG so the IMG is not alone. Also the IMG has become my favorite LMG in the game. I love playing up close and flanking. The damage output is insane, recoil is not bad, and you have plenty of bullets to go through. Spray and pray easy kills for days.
Sassy I was on the map before Argonne on operations attacking. And I got set up on top of that one building set up as a square with it's sniper varient and got about 40-50 kills before we moved onto the next set of points , then I stayed there and sniped at people for about 20 more kills before having to move in and get wrecked and go on a 13 death streak..man tables turn so fast in that game
I love how they added the 1917 pattern Enfield, thank you dice. I love having the immersion of a U.S doughboy with a 1917 Enfield and 1911 pistol in the Meuse-Argonne offensive...
Not only that but even TUTI had one more standard map than apocalypse, I expected at least 6, one new faction, 1-2 operations, at least two weapons per class and when I found out it's release would be Feb I somehow knew they weren't going to release much in the DLC.
комиссар из чееки брееки They never promised anything related to new war stories, I actually got a reply from dice in the fist year of BF1 and they said "we have no confirmed war story expansions but we'll pass your message on to the team."
the enfield has the same sweet spot range of the 1903 because they are the same caliber, just like the ross has the same sweet spot range as the enfield because they are the same caliber.
Ivanperez 128 the Howell rifle was an experimental rifle, but that’s about it. I pretty sure we all expected awesome weapons like the burton lmr, Thompson prototype, and the Lewis phase rifle.
QzLs KingAero I do fine with it but honestly I find it's not worth the trouble unless you wanna have fun or a challenge. Personally I'd rather use the trench carbine.
LMG 08 is my favorite. I'm a huge machine gun lover in BF1 and most Battlefields. I like the big guns. The MG 08 is actually pretty good for a machine gun.
I like all the weapons except for the Enfield. It makes a damn sexy roar when you shoot it and it looks brilliant but the aperture sights take up too much of the screen and it has a long range sniper sweet spot, making it almost useless in "infantry" situations
About the LMG 08 on bipod, i use the parabellum suppressive for long range engagements too(bipod), but you have to burst fire...3 bursts and the enemy will go down... the lower recoil on the LMG 08 makes firing at long ranges even easier than the parabellum
I would guess the 1917 enfield has the 1903 sweet spot because it uses the 1903’s 30-06 ammunition as opposed to .303 british used in the Ross and SMLE?
I am somebody that very much enjoys using the Howell rifle actually. I find it to be the perfect middle-of-the-road medic gun. It well out performs the Fedorov at mid range of course and the bipod helps with longer range. I actually deploy the bipod more than you would imagine. And while it can't two shot like the RSC (another one of my favs) the 20 bullet mag (21 if you include the one in the chamber) is exactly what the RSC lacks. For those who don't know: it is possible to equip an AA sight with which makes the bulky offset irons a hell of a lot more managable. I find the gun perfect on mid range maps like Verdun Heights or St Quentin's scar it works like a dream on operations. Especially offense where your team usually requires more healing.
The Mk. VI revolver is a Webley, and the Autorevolver was built from a Webley. It would be incorrect, I think, to call the Mk. VI a variant of the autorevolver. It's more the other way around.
I’ve found the best method to use the RSC smg. You have to use it in semi auto as it reduces the recoil per shot & have better accuracy. Also helps to conserve your ammo in a fire fight so you don’t miss your 9 pathetic shots on the enemy.
The Eddystone M1917 isn't a copy of the SMLE it's a copy of the British Pattern 14 rifle that was cambered in .303 Brit . We adopted the machinery and tooling and made the p14 into the m1917 and chambered it in 30-06 . The reason you are able to hold six is because the P14 was chambered .303 and the .303 is rimmed but the 30-06 isn't so in the M1917 Eddystone could hold six since the 30-06 isn't .
Have an interesting video idea. Can you see what weapons are best to take out the Elite classes. Highest dps per magazine or bullet medium range would be my thoughts but curious what you think. Something other than bayonet would be nice to know.
It is ridiculous to see the Howell Automatic Rifle doing this little damage per shot...this thing is basically a steampunked SMLE (they added the weird thingy on the right of the gun to help pull the bolt with an additional gas system). This gun should have less ammo and do more damage. Hell, it can even have a sweet spot system as well. Also the reload of lMG08 reload is not so unique. The parabellum MG14/17's reload also features the soldier spinning the drum magazine to extract the belt. The perino 1908's reload features the soldier adding several clips of bullets to the magazine. Both of these reload's time length vary due to how many shots you have left in the magazine.
Even with the bug the factory variant has the AA sights which are the best for me (they replace the buckhorn). I do not know why he is playing with the regular irons...
apparently, DIce are aware of whats causing the issue and are deploying a fix asap for consoles. PC fix is probably out already since you dont need to go through a verification process.
marsel dagistani The M1917 actually set the new standard for American rifle irons. The Garand, M-14, and M-16 all use the same style. At the end of WWI the US Army had roughly equal numbers of M1917 and M1903 rifles and had to decide which rifle would be the standard issue going forward. Ironically, the M1903 was selected because it's iron sights were better for target shooting (despite the M1917 having superior sights for combat)
The 1917 is not based on the British SMLE, it's based off the British pattern 14, which was based off of the British pattern 13, which was based off the Mauser. In terms of action it is closer to a Mauser than it is to an smle, aside from cocking on the closing stroke.
Turning Tides M1917 Browning with the telescopic sight is a murder machine on the Paschendaele map. The cover is so heavy it is hard to see troops who are still, add in being mid to long range and you can lay down your bipod and simply murder a squad and then relocate via a handy trench.
Dice appears to be modeling the damage after cartridge. M1917 enfield fires the same 30-06 cartridge as the Springfield and thus would have similar stats. LevelCapGaming
the lMG08 is a air cooled machine gun that was many used in aircraft applications to save weight, because the water jacket was to heavy on airships so they switched to a air cooled model
The Ross had issues because it had a tighter chamber and the Canadian infantry used British style ammo, which had real loose tolerances for thickness of the case, causing it to choke on its bullets (something the Lee Enfield was built to deal with). The Canadian snipers swore by it because they got the more precisely made match grade ammo for accuracy, and this saved them from the issues that had the regulars foaming seething with rage
The new lmg is a beast with bipod at long ranges. You just have to fire in bursts (quick tap fire), cause even at range 2 bursts are enough to down most players. I got 45 kills during a Operations match with the iron sights variant.
Hey level cap heres a loadout to try, the American rifleman! Primary: 1917 Enfield Secondary: 1911 Any gadgets Frag grenades Either the U.S. trench knife or the Hell fighter bolo knife Any specializations. I've watched your videos since BF3 Hope you have fun, keep up the great content, and I'll see you on the battlefield!
LevelCap, on the 1917 Enfield, it's not really an american version of the Lee. The British intended to replace the Lee Enfield with a Mauser clone (like the Springfield) in 1914 and hired many US factories to produce it in mass. Problem is that when war broke out they had to stick to their Lees and cancelled production. When the Americans joined, they had all this tooling for British P14 rifles and not enough factories set up to build the M1903s so they went ahead and built rifles in that pattern chambered in .30-06. It's a British design intended for British use that the US ended up using due to shortage of their own rifles. TLDR: the 1917 Enfield is a British version of the Mauser used by the Americans because they had factories set up to build them.
The M1917 Enfield fires a different round to the SMLEIII hence the different characteristics. It actually fires the .30-06 which is the same round as the M1903 Springfield (if anything, Dice are consistent with their bullet characteristics). I am not really a big fan of the Enfield though, for me the default iron sights have the centre blade on the front sights so small that I keep lining up the side posts when I am acquiring targets at speed (it is a couple of pixels wide on a 15.4" 4K screen).
Levelcap haven't even mentioned the super-low muzzle velocity of the ross mk. III. Without having the symthic stats available yet, i can tell the muzzle velocity of the ross must be around the one of the gewehr m.95 (620m/sec) or even lower. Its like playing dart. Still a super neat rifle, tho, but this should be said.
Yeah i have seen it now too, maybe i had this feeling because i only use the highest muzzle velocity rifles available most of the time like mosin/1895, g98, m1903, arisaka
The American Enfield actually uses the same .30-06 cartridge as the Springfield so it makes sense to have a similar sweet spot. That's the reasoning behind the SMLE and Ross sharing the .303 Bristish/sweet spot.
The 1917 Enfield is almost entirely unrelated to the Lee-Enfield, apart from the fact that they are both bolt-action rifles that have the name of the Royal Small Arms Factory at Enfield attached to them. It shares a sweet spot with the 1903 Springfield, because they are both chambered in the same .30-'06 cartridge. The Webley revolver is not derived from the Auto Revolver, it's the other way around.
Ross is good for people who are just starting to learn to play scout, I never liked scout but I tried it and started with the ross and it really helped me
The m1917 is slightly different from the SMLE, both enfields, but the m1917 is based on the pattern 14 Lee Enfield rather than the SMLE. The pattern 14 uses a much stronger cartridge and is meant as more of a marksman rifle rather than standard infantry.
the 1917 enfield probably has stats closer to the 1903 than the smle because the 1917 was chambered in 30-06 just like the 1903. it was made when the US entered the war, they needed more rifles, so they took factories making lee enfields and designed the 1917 to use as much of the same tooling as possible but still have the common rifle caliber of the US army.
The m1917 is a p14 Enfield copy, not an SMLE copy. Sweet spots are based on cartridges in bf1, ie. The Ross and SMLE are identical, because .303, the m1917/m1903 in 30-06, the 1895/Mosin in 7.62x54R.
The Ross was originally a Canadian hunting rifle, It would jam in the mud but it got fixed, however the Canadian still hated it and dropped over any other gun.
With the SMG, only hip fire it, works way better. I’ve been using it with paranoia, pilferer and the other gas mask perk (can’t remember name) been working really well
I think the Ross should've been a Sniper Variant; it'll balance it out against the SMLE and since it shares the same sweet spot, it essentially would've become a SMLE sniper variant. Not to mention since this was favored by Snipers, it would've fit well
"So if you're that kinda player go for it" Oh I'm that kind of player I love long range ironsight shooting and agressive sniping, the enfield is by far my favorite bf1 weapon
They have the same sweet spit because the fire the same cartridge. Both the 1917 and 1903 fire the 30 06 Springfield. The ross and smle also fire the same cartridge, the 303 British. This is probably why the have the same stats. :)
the reason why the US version of the SMLE has diffrent ballistics then the SMLE itself, is that the US SMLE fires 30-06 Springfield same as the Springfield 03. the British SMLE fires 303 British, Same as the Ross.
The Enfield is amazing, any good iron sight scout will love this thing, fast velocity, straight pull ,bolt 6 rnds good hipfire ,it’s a monster! Close range damage drops a bit so be prepared to pistol switch a bit more often and sights are slightly different but fine once you adjust. Ross is also good but Enfield is the better weapon.
The lmg 08/18 is the best lmg in the game. It takes the benefits from the parabellem and the mg na 15 good high fire rate but controllable recoil and low first shot recoil allowing u to tap fire for longer ranges. I would I courage everyone to try the suppresive variant. More ammo and an adjustable site that makes aiming clearer.
The lebel was my main, like 15 service stars with it, but now the 1917 is my go to, the bolt cycle time is so quick, it beat out the lebel IMO, which i think was the best up until now.
The us m1917 enfield is a modification of the p14 enfield, not the smle. The p14 and m1917 are esentially altered mauser bolt actions. The m1917 enfield was the us’s most used rifle of ww1, not the m1903.
The 1917 isn't a variant of the Lee Enfield. It's essentially a Mauser action, based on the Pattern 14 rifle the British were testing in trials as a result of the Boer war.
Also, the reason people call it the American Enfield is that it was designed at the Enfield plant in Britain. The reason we used them is because Remington and other companies were producing them for the British. A relatively simple conversion to .30-06 and presto, new service rifle.
The M1917 Enfield is not an American version of the Short Magazine Lee-Enfield. It is an American version of the British Pattern 14 Enfield. During the war SMLE production could not keep up with British needs. They needed rifles and turned to Remington and Winchester in the United States. Instead of producing SMLE's they produced the Pattern 14 Enfields. They were quicker and easier to produce. Fast forward to 1917 and the United States has entered the war. They needed rifles to supplement Springfield 1903 production. The P14 Enfield was re-chambered for the American 30-06 cartridge (as a result could hold one more round in the magazine) and the M1917 Enfield was born.
The two Enfield rifles should not be comparable. One is a .303 brit the other is 30-06. The Springfield 1903 is also a 30-06. Maybe this will help you understand the meta.
A note on the 1917 Enfield. It's not an American weapon, so much as it is not a British weapon. It's a bit of a hybrid. The action is the answer to the question of what would happen if a Mauser and a Lee Enfield shagged. It was a British design, originally the P13 and was designed to replace the SMLE. However, just when the P14, the revised, state of the art version of the P13 was finished, WWI broke out and we couldn't get all the factories which were producing SMLEs to switch to the P14 pattern. Thus, we asked you yanks to make them and in the US, Winchester, Eddystone and Remington all produced Pattern 14 Enfield rifles, all in .303, same calibre as the SMLE. Those factories produced a good number of theose rifles which Britain bought and used in the rear line like the Germans and their Gewehr 88s. Not front line use. When you lads joined the war, you had the same problem ironically, your factories weren't producing enough of the new rifle, your M1903 yet you could produce plenty of the pattern 14s. However, America used the 30-06 cartridge so the US army ordered the P14 rifles to be rechambered in their own cartridge. This happened in 1917 hence the name of the rifle, P17 in British service (we used them too yet actually in WWII) and M1917 in American service. The P17 using 30-06 could fit 6 rounds in the internal magazine instead of the 5 the .303 P14 could hold, this is because .303 is a rimmed cartridge and 30-06 is not. During the Second World War, the British homeguard held on to a number of P14 and P17 rifles, the P17s got a red band in case the old lads in the homeguard tried to put British ammo in them which would blow the gun up. They were all re arsenalled and fully refurbished. They also removed the volley sights which were part of the British specs for the P14 and were sighted to shoot at excess of 2000m in large groups in a sort of artillery like fashion. Shooting them at long distance at long range like a volley of arrows. Largely pointless yet still a feature. I've got a 1917 Winchester P14 that was rearsenalled and no longer has the volley sights, it is in near new condition for a 100 year old rifle. The P17 and P14 rifles are incredibly accurate they were often issued to snipers with or without scopes, like the Ross though they had none of the reliability issues of that rifle. There is also a flip up iron sight which is more accurate. The aperture sight is much better than the leaf sights of other rifles. P17s and the rural upbringing of many doughboys gave them a reputation for sharpshooting. The rifle rewards a good shot, I can hit an 8 inch diameter target at 200m with my P14 and I promise that they are truly excellent rifles. Much better than the 1903 that the US adopted in force later, though somewhat heavier.
I actually really love the Enfield. Probably my favourite scout rifle now. I also really like the Howell. Not sure about the RSC and the LMG yet (because of the lag issue, i will try them more when its fixed)
LevelCap, I have recently switched from console to pc, and in general the switch was quite smooth. I love to fly planes in battlefield, and switching from the joysticks to the mouse and keyboard i cant seem to fly anymore and with this new dlc i would love to give it a go. would you consider making a video going over your mouse and keyboard bindings as well as some tips to control the plane better?
Much like how the Russian 1895 and the Mosin have the same sweet-spot range because they both fire 7.62x54R, the Ross and the SMLE have the same sweet-spot range because they both shoot .303.
When this game was announced I imagined the only automatic weapons we would see would be similar to the RSC factory. I was really disappointed at how widespread the automatic weapon use became.
*THINGS HE DIDN'T MENTION:* 1. The Howell has a bipod on both variants, so that negates the whole Farquhar Hill being more accurate statement. 2. Also the P17 uses the Springfield calibre so it's meant to have the M1903 sweetspot and not the SMLE's one. 3. The new Revolver although it's an almost identical version of the auto revolver, the Mk VI has slightly lower control than the Auto Revolver so that's another trade off to have it as an all class pistol.
First off, that new support lmg looks op. Second, I guess I can say goodbye to flying in BF1 with this new AA rocket gun for the assault. There’s already too many AA’s!!!
The reason the M1917 is so different is because it is chambered in .30-06' and not .303 British. As well as it is not a copy of the SMLE and both are entirely different patterns of rifle.
The American Lee Enfield is a longer version of the rifle, before reaching the SMLE III the British were using the standard Lee Enfield, this is what the Americans got, the SMLE III is i think almost 6 inches shorter.
The reason the American Lee Enfield has the same sweet spot as the 1903 is because they’re both chambered in .30-06 while the British enfield is chambered in .303 British :)
Sorry but no, the M1917 is not "The American SMLE" it is the Enfield P14 rifle that was adapted by America. The P14 was to be mass produced by Vickers, who could not do as such; so the British government looked to Winchester and Remington for production of the rifles. The intention was to replace the SMLE; however your average british soldier did not only prefer the SMLE over the P14, but the SMLE was already standard issue at the breakout of the first world war, and so it would not make a great deal of sense to replace that which we know works. It then gained a few changes here and there, and eventually became the M1917 rifle.
so the Ross has a straight pull bolt which means you also don't have to un-scope and it wont delay the reload. I will always un-scope regardless because it helps with situational awareness but if that's an important feature for you then it's one more reason to consider using the rifle.

Absolutely correct. I was about to post the same thing.
That’s also why it has the same damage model at the 1903 since it’s using the same caliber
Was about to say the same thing as well

"Anti-air AT rocket gun"
What...
Patrick Nijs It's an AT Rocket Gun with AA ammo. It was actually a real thing

Patrick Nijs In a lame mans terms... Anti-Everything rocket gun
City Guard "you see Boris, when you load an AT gun with AA ammo, you get and AE gun!"
AT rocket gun - Anti Tank gun
AA rocket gun - Anti Air gun
It’s really not that hard... if Dice fucked up the name then RIP.
I love the Howell Factory when you get the AA sights on
Same here
Provides a very clear view of the target and whats around it. Way better than buckhorns
The reason the Enfield has the same sweetspot as the 1903 is because it uses the same cartridge 30-06
John Hitler Yeah, the sweetspot mechanic and different velocity for each round actually do a decent job representing the real rounds, even if the performance is exaggerated for gameplay
wait the russian 1895 takes 7.62x54mmR?
Smitherino yes.
Yeah but this is only for the bolt action rifles for obvious balance reasons. Imagine the goddamn BAR with the same damage model as the 1903
The Enfield is 303
I'm using the new permanent stutter affliction.
Steve Ozone Too bad that affliction isn‘t even optional...
FYI, the Howell Rifle is bugged an is still using pre-TTK patch bullet spread.
Krongfah Mahankalarp I thought I noticed something close to that while watching it's bullet spread at long range but I didn't think nonthing of it
Good to know that it's handicapped at the moment.
Fuck imagine how good it'll be when they fix it, that thing shreds as it is.

I love how they added the 1917 pattern Enfield, thank you dice. I love having the immersion of a U.S doughboy with a 1917 Enfield and 1911 pistol in the Meuse-Argonne offensive...
After the Russian DLC I was excited for Turning Tides and Apocalypse but I’m really disappointed. Especially that Apocalypse didn’t have Operations.
Not only that but even TUTI had one more standard map than apocalypse, I expected at least 6, one new faction, 1-2 operations, at least two weapons per class and when I found out it's release would be Feb I somehow knew they weren't going to release much in the DLC.
We never got the single player missions they promised in the season pass either
комиссар из чееки брееки They never promised anything related to new war stories, I actually got a reply from dice in the fist year of BF1 and they said "we have no confirmed war story expansions but we'll pass your message on to the team."
I could of sworn they promised new French and Russian single player missions
комиссар из чееки брееки Nah sorry man but yeah they never really confirmed addition war stories. But that would've been amazing to see
the enfield has the same sweet spot range of the 1903 because they are the same caliber, just like the ross has the same sweet spot range as the enfield because they are the same caliber.
Woah look at all those brutal experimental weapons dice was talking about
Lololol.
Rip Thompson annihilator.
(until they add it in a free dlc)
Thergi I know right all these weapons suck none of them are experimental or brutal there mostly standard weapons
I have interest in the lmg 08 and Rsc smg but nothing else.
Ivanperez 128 the Howell rifle was an experimental rifle, but that’s about it. I pretty sure we all expected awesome weapons like the burton lmr, Thompson prototype, and the Lewis phase rifle.
Rsc smg nah, but that Ross rifle and Lmg08/18 though.
I like it, it makes it more of a skill weapon to use.
The MG 08 is actually pretty good for a machine gun.
the suppressive of the lmg makes it so OP
I like all the weapons except for the Enfield. It makes a damn sexy roar when you shoot it and it looks brilliant but the aperture sights take up too much of the screen and it has a long range sniper sweet spot, making it almost useless in "infantry" situations
About the LMG 08 on bipod, i use the parabellum suppressive for long range engagements too(bipod), but you have to burst fire...3 bursts and the enemy will go down... the lower recoil on the LMG 08 makes firing at long ranges even easier than the parabellum
I'm glad they added the revolver because now I can make a themed British infantryman with the SMLE infantry finally
It uses the 30-06 round which is what the Springfield uses
I’ve always called the RSC SMG the “Premature Ejaculation of guns.”
I would guess the 1917 enfield has the 1903 sweet spot because it uses the 1903’s 30-06 ammunition as opposed to .303 british used in the Ross and SMLE?
Christopher Bull By that logic, any weapon that takes 8mm mauser ammo should be a 1-2 shot and have a sweetspot
Isaac lichtenstein exactly
I never undestood why it was called "Auto-Revolver", the correct name is Webley Fosberry
king ofhogwarts it’s probably called that because of trademarking
I’ve found the best method to use the RSC smg. You have to use it in semi auto as it reduces the recoil per shot & have better accuracy. Also helps to conserve your ammo in a fire fight so you don’t miss your 9 pathetic shots on the enemy.
Except this flushes your effective TTK down the drain.
The 1917 Enfield uses the same round as the Springfield, which explains the sweet spot.
Have an interesting video idea. Can you see what weapons are best to take out the Elite classes. Highest dps per magazine or bullet medium range would be my thoughts but curious what you think. Something other than bayonet would be nice to know.
Casey Williams At rocket gun
Bayonet Charge or melee them in the back
It is ridiculous to see the Howell Automatic Rifle doing this little damage per shot...this thing is basically a steampunked SMLE (they added the weird thingy on the right of the gun to help pull the bolt with an additional gas system).
Twitchy Drone I'd say a damage/capacity model similar to the RSC would have sufficed.
Tian Ouyang that means that the Farquhar hill should get a dmg buff too since it shoots the same cartridge
Anyone fix the 0.5 seconds freeze problem yet? it makes the game unplayable... i feel like a cripple on the battlefield..
apparently, DIce are aware of whats causing the issue and are deploying a fix asap for consoles. PC fix is probably out already since you dont need to go through a verification process.
Zack so we console peasants need to wait 2 weeks for a fix?
I sure hope not since its such a game breaking issue but it might be the case...I'm a ps4 player btw
Zack I'm on ps4 too bro. It's unplayable right now.
Dice are doing a fix right now. It's a bug that was introduced with the new DLC. Let's hope they fix it and quick!
The m1917 enfield iron sights remind me of the m1 garand with 2 bullets less.
marsel dagistani The M1917 actually set the new standard for American rifle irons.
Levelcap the ross has a straight pull bolt you dont have to unscope
Logan Ingerson trust me, you get used to unscoping every shot
Luis1597Fatal thank you!!
Primary: 1917 Enfield
Secondary: 1911
Any gadgets
Frag grenades
Either the U.S. trench knife or the Hell fighter bolo knife
Any specializations.
I've watched your videos since BF3
Hope you have fun, keep up the great content, and I'll see you on the battlefield!
Lukas Langer shoots 303 british, it's the same as the smle, 740m/s
Lol, except it's exactly the same as the SMLE.
Ross is good for people who are just starting to learn to play scout, I never liked scout but I tried it and started with the ross and it really helped me
YES!!!! I freaking love iron sight snipers, and was sad the 1903 didn't have it. The new revolver is better known as the webley
With the lMG 08/18 if you burst fire I have been able to out snipe other snipers I even went 71-15 on Cape Helles
The Ross was originally a Canadian hunting rifle, It would jam in the mud but it got fixed, however the Canadian still hated it and dropped over any other gun.
Actually, the M1917 Enfield is based on the Pattern 1914 Enfield rifle, which, despite the name, is totally unrelated to the Lee-Enfield SMLE
Lol you put up footage of you taking me out this morning with the new revolver.. Was hoping you would include when I got you back :)
the sound of the Ross sniper is amazing!!
10:09 it also comes with a mobile jack in the box when you are bored sitting in the trenches.
Why didnt you mention the new grenade?! It needs some love too!
9:14 that blocked entrance in the left Is the entrance to a secret place to get the secret peacekeeper revolver
With the SMG, only hip fire it, works way better. I’ve been using it with paranoia, pilferer and the other gas mask perk (can’t remember name) been working really well
THe howell with the scope is still really good, because it has such a fast rate of fire so it can go head to head with other weapons quite easily.
Screw sweet spots with snipers. just gonna stick with the gun with leadt bullet drop or highest velocity
Wait, marksman scopes don't have glint? I haven't been aggressive enough with the Gewher M95...
Only SNIPER rifles have the glint👍
Absolutely loving the howell.
M1917 enfield is an American version of the p14 enfield using the same 30-06 cartridge as the m1903 Springfield, hence the same sweet-spot distance .
I think they added the M1917 Enfield to fill gap of the 1903 infantry that people have been asking for
The us m1917 enfield is a modification of the p14 enfield, not the smle. The p14 and m1917 are esentially altered mauser bolt actions. The m1917 enfield was the us’s most used rifle of ww1, not the m1903.
Nice. Can't wait to start using the Ross.
The IMG 08/18, Howell Rifle and Ross Rifle MKIII are my favourites. All the weapons are good except the RSC SMG
The Enfield is my favorite weapon from this dlc
I think Charlie missed the fact that the Enfield is most likely DICEs response to the demand for a M1903 infantry
I actually like the IMG 08 a lot. It's like a BAR with a bigger magazine.
The 1917 Enfield has the same damage model as the 1903 because they are both chambered to use the American .30-06 cartridge.
The 1917 has a different damage model because it doesnt uses the .303 round, its chambered to fire the 30 cal round
I thought the new medic gun was pretty beast to be honest really enjoyed using it after I got used to the weird iron sight.
M1917 enfield is a 30-06, same as your 1903, where the smle and ross are both .303 brit. Thats why the damage is the way it is.
"little basterd" first thing I thought of was the basterd gun from Metro 2033
LevelCap, I have recently switched from console to pc, and in general the switch was quite smooth. I love to fly planes in battlefield, and switching from the joysticks to the mouse and keyboard i cant seem to fly anymore and with this new dlc i would love to give it a go. would you consider making a video going over your mouse and keyboard bindings as well as some tips to control the plane better?
Much like how the Russian 1895 and the Mosin have the same sweet-spot range because they both fire 7.62x54R, the Ross and the SMLE have the same sweet-spot range because they both shoot .303.
Same goes for both the M1903 and the M1917 Enfield, they both use .30-06
When this game was announced I imagined the only automatic weapons we would see would be similar to the RSC factory.
I was really disappointed at how widespread the automatic weapon use became.
The damage model of the m1917 is closer to the m1903 because the m1917 is chambered for 30-06 not the .303 that the smle is chambered for.
*THINGS HE DIDN'T MENTION:*
Body Counter how do you know it has less control
Thing you forgot to mention: RIght now the Howell is bugged, it's got .21 base spread and .2 sips, instead of .18 and .1 like all the other SLRs.
The reason the US Enfield has the same sweet spot as the 1903 is because they both use a 30-06 round. Hope this helps any confusion.
The upper case L stands for luft. The lower case is for low weight. Says in the bf1 codex.
The mg 14 17 has a very similar reload but you spin the big circle thing which holds the belt
I bet the M1917 has the sweet spot of the M1903 because they both use a 30-06 if I am not mistaken
Levelcap would die in Rising Storm/Red Orchestra 2...alot.
the medic rifle is amazing with a max zoom aa sight
