*I really don't understand the hate for cross-hatching* . It's a great technique which requires practice and increases tonal levels than just hatching. And it works for pencil drawings too. Yes, it requires more practice, but good cross-hatching is a thing of beauty.
@@CourtJones That’s true as art has no rules, but my post was not directed at you as your art is amazing. Recently I’ve viewed many YT artists posting they hate crosshatching with weak arguments. I’m totally with it’s not your preference but when they try to justify it, it becomes disingenuous. And I’m not saying you did that as you didn’t and your ink sketch was great.

No hate. It just isn't for everybody. We all don't have to like the same things in this world.
