For everyone complaining that he isn’t layne. Guys layne isn’t coming back from the dead to do a reunion tour. Let’s just celebrate duval for the hard work and dedication he puts in.
Yea. I think he does pretty decent. I think it's hard for people to not compare when their favorite band gets a new singer because your just naturally used to hearing them with their songs and then another guy comes in and they instantly close their mind to them because it just isn't the same. But never means the new guy sucks. you just got to try to enjoy the music.. William does a hell of alot better than I can. Lol
Duval is a great vocalist. I'm glad that Alice In Chains continued her career with the addition of this spectacular musician. But hearing a classic like this ... impossible not to miss Layne.
I'm glad sean, Mike and Jerry can tour, half the time layne was too messed up to tour or finish tours...love layne but it's not fair to those guys and I'm stoked to see them on the road still
Pharoah M he doesn’t need to sound the same, but i think he does a fantastic job at having enough of his own character to bring out the feelings Staley originally penned down.
Uma banda que seguiu seu caminho sem virar cover de si mesma. Os clássicos obviamente serão sempre os curtidos, ouvidos, mas os trabalhos recentes deles são de altíssimo nível.
The new guy does a great job of singing especially considering being thrust into such an impossible situation where comparisons with Layne are inevitable.
he's been in longer than layne ever was, has performed countless more times with aic than layne ever did, kind of like brian johnson compared to bon...bon was barely in the band compared to how long brian's been with em.
No one knows how much i love the original live performance of this song. Althought, from a vocalist perspective, this performance right here is technically on a whole new level. Amazing control in the high notes, incredible stage presence in his movements and in his vocals, precise personalizzation which also pays respect to the original version. There's no point in comparing the two, you can just enjoy both
Every Alice in Chains comment with Duval singing: "He's no Layne but he's good." Can we just all agree that it's true and therefore no longer needs to be written as a comment ever again?
Lembro da primeira vez ouvindo Alice in Chains.

I. Like others here Love Alice in Chains. So. So much. Unfortunately I never saw them with Layne. I have seen them with William, and as a Fan. William Duvall is an amazing Artist, Singer, Musician. In a Band full of amazing Talent. Thank you Jerry Cantrell for pushing on, and affording me, and Generations to come. The honour of being able to witness the Amazing Alice in Chains. RIP Layne..
He nails the notes and that is an A for effort because it is very difficult to pull them. But he struggles way to much and you can notice that pretty easily for sometimes it sounds like he's chocking. But is very impressive how he manages to pull through from so much vocal strain. The guy gave it his all. And that is way better than any other criticism I could give. The man deserves a lot of respect.

AiC was and is a band and it wasn’t just Layne, Sean is still around and Inez joined in 93 when Layne was still active in the group, those guys have every right to continue on making the music they wrote and love to play and make a living from.

And the world shouldn't stop for the band , just because Mr. Stanley couldn't overcome his Demons! He is truly awesome.. I've only seen videos of him on YT but his voice is great... No one can ever replace Layne and Jerry would never want anyone to replace him, but you can see Jerry knows great artists when he sees them...
Been on Technopolis for a festival with Judas Priest and he killed it, he's an amazing vocalist for sure and I'm grateful the band it's still going No one will ever be like Layne, time to get over it
Layne had fun playing in Rio de Janeiro; he reallly enjoyed the Brazilian crowed!! Hollywood Rock in Rio, it was the name of the Alice in Chains's concert!

Duval kicks total ass.
I saw them live with Duval. He was great !!! The whole band was super tight and sounded excellent.
Duval Is actually great, I really like this version
I like the AIC that is moving on. "Check my brain" is a kick-ass.
He's no Layne but he's fucking excellent
Yes, he is
And then some!
How did they come to the band's name? Any one know?
yeahhhh
yeah
Duval is a great vocalist. I'm glad that Alice In Chains continued her career with the addition of this spectacular musician. But hearing a classic like this ... impossible not to miss Layne.
Absolutely agree on both counts. DuVall fills those enormous shoes of Layne's as well as anyone among the living could. RIP Layne
I'm glad sean, Mike and Jerry can tour, half the time layne was too messed up to tour or finish tours...love layne but it's not fair to those guys and I'm stoked to see them on the road still
so true my man so true.
absolutely.Layne had a unic voice.
Layne would be so happy, if he were alive, to see Duval singing better than him!!!!
I feel sorry for Duval always being compared to Layne... He's such an amazing vocalist
Pharoah M he doesn’t need to sound the same, but i think he does a fantastic job at having enough of his own character to bring out the feelings Staley originally penned down.
I agree it's hard not too🤘🏾🤷🏾♀️😞
Layne built the house.. will never escape otherwise....
Dude is so good he doesn't have to worry about your pity or the haters lol.
He is, and he will. It comes from joining a band with one of the best vocalists ever. It took them a while to find him and he is great.....
Duval is a great vocalist. Not many would have been able to fit those shoes he is in right now. Hats off to Duval.
Y'all can't stop comparing vocalists but this is absolutely fantastic vocals. Just appreciate greatness

I like that he simply tries to be himself. He has big shoes to fill and imo he's done very well
He's been in the band longer than Layne was. People still can't seem to not mention Layne in the same sentence as Alice in Chains.
He will never fill them shoes
Sorry, Layne, but I enjoy listening this song sang by Duval...he is just GREAT!
Totally agreed! ✌🏼🐞🌻
Very impressive. Not Layne not chains.
William DuVall is criminally underrated.
Jerry and the voice box is killer.
Duvall is killing it.

In Jerry's own words:
"This band has had 6 members, and it always will"

I always wondered what Chris Cornell would sound like singing this. Hopefully he and Layne are singing this together right now! 😢😢😢

Jerry Cantrell deve ser um dos mais fiéis ao solo original tocando ao vivo
Já o Ritchie Blackmore, com exceção de "Highway Star", mudava quase todos os solos do Deep Purple
