Thank you, it was. Now I am working in my dream job as data product manager, leading an international team of data engineers and data scientists that develop algorithms for personalized recommendations to millions of users.

    Dear Rene
It IS normal to feel this way, so much overwelmed and 'ignorant', as it was not your prior domain and don't have the mindset of programming
Your review was very honest and helpful
When you want so much to make a step forward, acquire new knowledge, and want to pay the price, you can progress and learn enough to be satisfied at the end
I hope you have completed the bootcamp and get the skills

I do not know if it is normal. It depends on your background and your emotional sensitivity. But I know that we all where very exhausted from the BootCamp. It is a big variety of topics and skills you have to learn in a very short amount of time. Impossible to master them, but a good overview with a lot of practical experience you gain by solving many technical challenges.

Would you recommend this bootcamp ? Are you a data scientist now ?

Yes, it was a great experience. I learned a lot and worked with amazing people, and we are still friends and help each other. I would not say I am a data scientist now. I need a few more years of experience. Today, I work as a Product Manager, AI/ML, and Data Science. I can do a lot of coding by myself and talk much better with my teams. That was my goal. I am very happy about it. :-)

Hi Rena, Thank you for the video. I am presently in Berlin with the hope to take data science BootCamp at Lewagon. I am really looking forward to it. If I may ask, do you have prior experience in data science or any analytical tools? Thanks

Thank you for your message. Yes, I did some a ML course with MatLab from Stanford University about 2 years ago and I worked with Excel and Tableau.

true. But I do not work for a salary. I work for fun. And the problem is, a manager can not do anything. So I have to learn to do something, to become more useful, creative and have more fun.
