What if they make JianYi blond?! Like yellow blond?!! Maybe I'm just paranoid... But still super duper excited!!
I have heard of negative comments about this manhua from Chinese fans though. BL/gay/yaoi works are a huge thing in East Asia and people tend to set higher standard for good works, as someone who can read Chinese I've come across posts saying that the story has changed, like it is not going like the author planned initially. They said that Mo was not meant to be a main character, but since the author updates it weekly or something and readers can leave comments under the latest chapters, the author decided to make Mo a main character because many readers 'felt like it would be fun and said stuff like make Mo main character pleaseeee', some other readers therefore started to feel uncomfortable because they assumed that the initial story is about Zhan, Jian and He, He is supposed to be someone who have a secret love for Jian(these two had some yaoi vibe too) and it's a love triangle, Mo broke it completely and most of the negative comments are about how an author shouldn't change such an important part of the story just because some readers asked for it.

I'm pretty aware, I can also read Chinese~ And yes, myself as well at the start completely thought that mo was just, you know, 'that bully' who stimulates Zhan's protective instinct for Jian and that He was in a love triangle with the two. I suppose readers shouldn't base their stories on fan opinions, but since it's a weekly update, it feels like the author can be pretty spontaneous. I kinda feel like the readers who felt uncomfortable after the plot changed might be assuming a little too much on their part (although it's totally true, there were sooo many vibes coming from He to Jian), unless the author specifically said so (which I don't know, I didn't pick up the manga until, like, chapter 60), I think they can change the story however they want during the process. And yeah, BL is a huge thing in East Asia, I know, because, well, I used to live there (in my last visit to china, McDonalds commissioned old xian and the author for tamen de gushi (I think) to draw their hiring poster, I totally didn't realise at the time, but that's amazing!). I guess you shouldn't change the plot according to what some fans say, but I wouldn't be surprised if that was just inspiration and the author may even have thought the plot twist was something they wanted. With Mo as well, it's also much easier to write chapters because there's another character who gives a bit of new flavour to the story. BL wise, I think this is one of the best in recent times. Although it doesn't really meet the requirements of a 'good BL', I think it's entrancing in its own unique way.
Yuki Grimms I read it on Tencent Manhua and readers there can directly leave comments on the pages, like if one says 'Oh Mo's lips are so sexy, I'll take that first' he/she can leave a comment bubble in the shape of a price tag and attach the sharp end of bubble to Mo's lips, similar comments are mostly about lips, shoulders, butts etc lol. The thing is that when I was reading some of the early chapters many of these comments are like 'I ship this cult couple for one second/站一秒邪教'(People call their shipping of the most popular/official couples a religious practice, the less popular couples are therefore called 'cults' meaning that fewer people support them and these couples don't really have things going on for each other. Typical Chinese memes for pure fun though, nothing religious or serious, also excuse me for using this long bracket please) when He and Jian were having some typical yaoi interactions. It felt kinda weird, I mean I expected a love triangle in which He and Jian are gay, Zhan being a typical straight dude, Jian had been loving Zhan since kindergarten or something, then He showed up and was all caring and supportive to Jian, I imagined like 6 different endings of the story involving He/Jian/Zhan 'sacrifice themselves' for the other two characters.
