im in love with this boat, everything in it seems si well thought, designed, buit, like this is already mature foiling, perforlance with ease, whereas many others are still at the early stage of acrobatic foiling and as a result you see what guys are able to do during cuaching sessions, ie probably their first try i will definitely purchase one someday
I am particularly interested in these coaching videos and would like to see more, because I guess most beginners like me do similar mistakes, and it is useful to see them done by others, and commented by the best expert. I confirm that the boat is really very friendly and forgiving, after a few mistakes where I lost control while trapezing and got sent to the front, I observed that a little push on the tiller would bring me backwards easily again to climb back on the boat without capesize.
and for fellow beginners dont forget to modify by one notch up the stock angle of the mainsheet cleat, for much easier handling of main sail without unintended cleat lock
yes, as for all sailing boats, the angle of the mainsheet cleat should be adjusted according to the individual needs. It is depending on how low you are hanging in the trapeze. Advanced sailors will have very low, for maximum righting moment. In this case, the cleat is low.
for tiller and trapeze, i dont have much experience, but I am trying to set the tiller lenght not too long, so it remains possible to pass the tiller in front of the trapeze line, and thus change tiller hand
yes, it is possible. but for trapezing the tiller would be too short, then. Hiking out is a great thing. It makes you faster, more flexible, and triples the fun factor. however, on iFLY, it is also possible to fly without trapezing 🚀.
a lash line is a good idea for all performance catamarans. Many iFLY sailors are using one. e.g. a retractable dog walking line, ideally themodels with belt instead of rope. The unit can be attached between the two layers of the trampoline, on tge rear crossbeam, and the belt/rope exits from below the trampoline through the stainless eyelet in the center of the trampoline, which we have foreseen for this purpose
some sailors of performance boats are doing it to have hands free, but it is not good. Dangerous to get injured in a unforeseen situation. Some sailors have lost their teeth because of doing it. “don’t use your teeth or lose your teeth”
🤣 then better be careful that your sandwich does not fly away, when iFLY is exceeding th 25kts 🚀🚀🚀. Guess what? when going really fast, you better don't loose control 💪
always true, on every sailboat. In unforeseen situations, sheeting loads on sailboats can be too high to safely hold them with your teeth. Support sheeting with your helming hand. It is also a lot faster, allowing you to trim better 👍

Approximately how large an open body of water is necessary to safely, reasonably operate and enjoy this size of catamaran?
it is very agile, doing foiling gybes, so even a relatively water body can do

Espetacular muito massa, preciso um aqui em Bahia Brasil
Muito obrigado pela escrita enviada 😀. You can contact me via contact@iFLYsail.com
I would also strongly recommend to attach yourself to the boat with a long SUP leash

sheeting in with your teeth - thats a new one

@@iFLY-foiling sometimes you stop for lunch when you’re out sailing for a day. Maybe if the sandwiches had foils, they could just follow along.
