Props to this guy for spending the money putting 5 different tints on one window for us and driving to different locations for the shots and waiting all day till night for the night shot, thats dadication in filming right there and did it for the viewers, thanks man, much respect for you👌
Thank you! I appreciate it!
@@TopLineTinting you did do an awesome job to explain the different shade’s of tint. Also the comparison’s made it so easy to see the difference. Great job, ignore the trolls. It’s appreciated what you did.
Facts 💯
Much respect
My father had a lot of dadication. 😂
This is straight up exactly what everyone wants. A comparison of the different tints from the inside and out, and at day vs night. This is the only video I found that does that. Thank you so much for posting
I’m glad it helped!
@@TopLineTinting SUPER HELPFUL thankyou. Only angle missing is the outside looking in at night.
Why isn’t this the #1 tint comparison video on the internet. Thank you so much for this. You covered every angle and in 1080!! Ty!
Well, thanks! I think so to!
I agree, most want to see how the shade they pick looks on a car. This does it well.
TintSmart got 35% installed yesterday thanks to you. Thanks broski
It just came out mane lol
Martin no limo
It's refreshing to see no BS videos! no stories, no background -> just straight to the point! Jee there are 15mins long vids about tinting!
WHAT'S UP GUYS WERE GONNA GET TO THAT COMPARISON IN JUST A SEC! BUT FIRST MAKE SURE TO DESTR(stop video make and sure to hit not interested in channel)
HEY GUYS WELCOME TO THE VIDEO TODAY WE’RE GONNA BE TALKING ABOUT BLAH BLAH THEN 15 second intro then sponsor
If you can’t decide what to get, get them all like his set up 😂
That’s a good one.
@stimmo77 yeah, the cops would be....confused 😃
This is the Neapolitan tint look
This is the epitome of what a comparison video should be. The golden standard against which all other product comparison videos should be compared.
In the last 2 decades of watching informative YT videos, this is the most well done one without contest. Great job!
Thanks for such kind words @Stephenknight appreciate it!
RUclips is awesome when used correctly
Google woke-nerfed it.
This deserves 1 million likes. Helped me choose the right tint :)
Thanks Ricardo Gillardo
How are you pulling so many views with such a little subscriber count ?
cody lambert I don’t know how all this works, just posted a video I thought would be helpful.
@@Rundersss algo picks up pretty fast, check the views now lol
Best tint comparison. Wish you had done one from outside at night as well!
Me2
Thats the only missing to make this a 100% perfect video
It basically looks black
@@TopLineTinting how about tinting both sides to see how easy or hard it is to see through the vehicle (driver and passenger )
I was like the video end without the night vision from the outside. I love the video though
Like everyone is saying, this is exactly what everyone wants to see; so helpful. Thank you so much.
Happy it helped
You tube recommended me this, and for the first time it recommended me something useful
I’m glad it helped!
You have just made the best tint comparison video on the internet! Took me over a year of searching for this to come up. Thank you!
Thanks Joe! I was considering making an updated one, since you probably saw more videos on this than me what would you do differently on the next one? Thanks for taking the time to comment!
@@TopLineTinting This video is pretty good... however, after getting the 70% on the front and 20% on the sides and back... I think it would be the most helpful to tell people that you will only experience a very subtle difference between tint versions. I went with XPEL Plus because of all of the heat tests I saw with heat lamps on youtube. I even paid $100 extra for this film instead of Suntek CIR film (that I had on my last car.) After driving this tinted car for the last couple of weeks, I feel no significant difference between my lat car with Suntek vs this car with the Xpel Plus. $100 is not a big deal, but hey, if I could have saved it, I would have liked to. It would also be helpful if you had someone sit in the passenger seat behind the different tint percentages so we can see how visible that person is to the outside observer.
Thanks so much for the insight, i’ll take all of it into consideration and hopefully get a video up here shortly.
@@TopLineTinting If you want me to contribute to it with a video of my car, let me know.
Thanks Joe, I’ll let you know if anything, appreciate the help!
Thank you. It doesn't take a goddamn genius to know how to do a proper comparison test, and yet apparently it does.
Thanks for sharing your genius.
Well thank you! I’m sure glad to helped!
35 seems like the safest at night that still does something during the day
35 is the legal limit where I live so i’ll be getting that
Yeah I like 35
@@AugustTha2nd same. I'm in GA and have been debating if I should go with the legal 35 or risk a citation with 20
@@felixtorres6529 I have 2 percent on the sides and 20 on my windshield, 20 is pretty good at night and leaves very good privacy.
@@meancheeto 20 is fairly light and no officer should give you shit for it. You can also see clearly out at night if you have good vision. But then again I’m from nyc and everyone rolls around with 5% anyway.
This needs to be the first video that comes up when you search for "car tint comparisons". Just like everyone said, this is exactly what I wanted to see. Thank you!
This is definitely the absolute best tint comparison video on the internet. Thank you brother
Looked at 20 other videos before I found this one. Exactly what I was looking for. Great job man.
Thanks glad it helped!
Best tint video every. Exactly what we all needed and super quick and simple. Thank you for your work kind sir!
Yo bro. I’m tryna tint but legal is 28 here and even 15 is too light
I've been considering what tint to get on my new car, and have been searching through pictures and videos on the internet for about a week, and this is by FAR the most helpful imagery I have seen. Thank you for this.
If you get good quality tint, it's easier to see out it.
For example, I have 5% all around and 45% on my windshield done with XPEL Prime XR. Even though its 5%.. because it's high quality ceramic tint, It's like I am looking out of a 20% tinted window.
I also watched this video last year and it helped me a lot with my decision!
I have to agree with everyone this is the best tint comparison on RUclips. You did a great job.
Hands down the best video on tinting. Thank you for making it so easy. I know what I want now
*TintSmart is a Legend* for this Tint Comparison video, simple and to the point, and it has helped so many people understand window tinting and which tint% is right for them.
*My opinion* : *18% or 35%* on the side & back windows, *5% strip* on the top of the front windshield for sun glare.
I appreciate that!
Oh my god! Thank you for making this video! You don’t understand how much this video helped me to make a decision on the percentage of tint for all my home windows. Thanks a lot!
This is now officially the #1 tint comparison video. Thank You!
In terms of shade comparison, Best tint comparison video bar none. Well done!!. All other videos out there just have them all laid out on a white wall making them look all the same.
5% tint so you can’t see up in my window
Aubrey Graham this is the real Houston residents test! (even though I don’t live there) lol
Slim thug and who?
Mike jonessssss.
Lol I said that line to myself when he said 5% tint.
Jay Soma lmao fr I said the same thing
Haha I said the same shit 💯
My 20% is darker than that 18, damn near looks like 5
This was perfect. So glad to be able to see all the differences between tinting levels. Thanks!!!
I had 5% and you can't see in at all , it was awesome, was pulled over alot
Did u get tickets for it?
@@JMang101 I got a pulled over for the 15 th time and was given a warning and 30 days to take it off, it’s illegal for the front windows where I live and I took it off and he ripped up the ticket when I brought the car back to the police station
I was going to go really dark until the day before my appointment I was in a situation that required some waving between drivers to get through it. Other driver had really dark tint and I could make out their silhouette but couldn't tell if they were even looking at me or waving me through. I had to just park it and let them figure things out themselves. So after that I settled on a lighter tint than originally planned.
I wished more drivers took this into account. I've own smaller cars as well as ride a motorcycle so almost can never look over other cars for cross traffic, having blackout windows makes this tricky where you either have to inch into an intersection or just wait until the car moves for you to get a clearer view.
You've never flashed your highbeams to communicate with another driver?
Never really heard of waving at people or giving them a thumbs up lol. Probably just not in my area I guess
Just roll down the windows🤣
@@RX-hb3np Where do you live? I probably don't even live in the same country as the other guy yet we all do that here in Canada too. Thought everyone used hand gestures to communicate while driving. I only use double flash high beams to warn others of cops.
Perfect, this is how all videos should be like. I knew my tints but this helped me decide which one to choose for my wife’s new ride. Thank you for adding night time comparisons it makes a big difference.
Thankyou. Smartest tint comparison I've seen and answer the big questions people need to ask beyond the "will it look good".
Was searching for a good comparison and found nothing useful. Now a few months later when I’m finally going to tint my windows youtube recommends me this. Absolutely the best and exactly what I needed. Very helpful!
I’m glad it helped!
Kick ass video man. You covered everything i needed to know before getting my truck done. Great job!
Thanks, I’m glad it helped!
Damn I went through 30 fn videos before I saw yours and yours was all I needed to see. 👍🏾 this should be a top video!
We've had tint on many cars, different percentages. And always wanted to video for good comparison instead of 'I think it was good on that car'... this is wonderful. Short, sweet and to the point! Thank you!
best video about tints for people who never done this. important information and nothing else. thank you from Germany
Wow that is awesome how you made and installed that on the glass. I've been wanting to make a display board for my customers for so long and I really need to just go ahead and get it done. Nice work.
Tintsmart would be a good name for a company that brought the transition lens technology to vehicle tinting or even an energetic layer that gives variable options to increase visibility at night when needed
That’s a great idea!
There is one already, it’s called electrochromic film
Great video!!! I was looking for a comparison for each level of window tint. This is the best one I've seen. Thank you.
Whoa finally a RUclips video that skips the bs and shows exactly what everyone wanted to see. Thank you.
2 years later and this video pop up on my algorithm thanks for the example and nice video 🔥🔥🔥
Thanks!
Perfect! Thank you!
Your welcome
Thank you for your going to the effort to make this video. It's very useful for some of us who don't know the finer details of tints. From Brisbane Australia.
Very well done. This was exactly the video I was looking for. Legal in my state is 50 front side windows but I'm going 35 and 20 every where else
Was completely confused and undecided until I saw this. This video ought to be the standard for people needing help selecting the correct tint level for their needs. Thanks a ton man, appreciate it.
Thanks! I appreciate such positive feedback!
Best tint video I’ve seen showing different levels of tint! Salute
Thanks!
Finally. I can see an actual comparison. This is a much needed video. Thanks
Glad it helped!
Thank you so much for this valuable content! This video is exactly what my wife and I needed to see.
Literally the BEST video on RUclips about tint comparisons!!!!
Thanks for the video bro , its the best example of tinted windows in different conditions ive seen and this was very helpful to me. Thanks a lot 👍🏽
Your welcome, I’m glad it helped!
My goodness it shouldn’t have taken me so long to find such a good and REAL visual comparison. Thank you! Almost everything in photos is photoshopped and doesn’t give real life visuals.
Perfect video. Gives you an actual side-by-side comparison of each percentage.
Awesome job thank you! Getting my wife’s car tinted for her birthday but I need her to choose which percentage works best for her and this video is exactly what she needs to see to make a decision. Thank you!
This has helped me soo much! Ill be getting my windows tinted tomorrow and I wouldn't know which is which! I'll be getting 18 on all the back windows and 55 for the front windows
this has to be the most useful window tint videos on youtube.
This has to be one of the BEST tint video on here!!! Thank you so much!!!!
Thanks I agree!
18 35 55 looks suitable for my car.👍🏻
Thanks for the video. You are awesome 😍
30-35% is right for me! Gotta see well at night, especially traveling through rural areas in Texas!
Exactly what i was looking for.Best video i found after 1h looking.Thanks
The only tint explanation video I needed and was the most helpful.
Thank you for the super helpful video 🖤 I made an appointment a few weeks ago for all around 20% and then I think 50% on the windshield, looks like I made the perfect choice in tint after watching this
I’m glad it helped!
Dude thank you so much, I have an appointment in an hour and still hadn't decided on 20 or 40, exactly what I was looking for.
Glad it helped!
What did you go with and how are you liking it?
Very creatively explained. The viewer gets a clear picture about the impact of different % tint.
Sir, you have made the world a better place, thank you.
Wow, amazing video. This is the BEST video on tint comparison on youtube and google. I wish you had done video outside in the dark looking in!!!
Just what I was looking for a true comparison... thanks for making my decision easy!
Your welcome!
This is the best video I ever com across referring to tint, amazing!
Thanks
Perfect...Best explanation I've ever seen online... Thanks. To the point understandable .
I got 5 in the back and 35 in the front. Really happy with the combo for privacy and comfort. Haven't had any issues in California yet, its very common.
Same on my truck but I got a 5 sun strip and it darkens the inside a little and makes the 35 seem darker than it is
@@benjaminhurst8207 that's good to know. Almost did that on my 06 civic because it has a giant windshield lol. Didn't even consider that for my current vehicle but maybe I will.
Wow this here is massive♥️...much love from Guyana🇬🇾
Thanks for the effort sir! Well deserved million plus views
Thank you so much for posting this video! Exactly what I was trying to figure out for the last 3 days.
This is the best tint comparison video!
Well, thanks, I think so too!
I should also be noted that if you have 5% all around, it will be darker inside the vehicle so it will be harder to see inside. Truly, 50% and higher is probably best when applied to every window to give you good amount of privacy without sacrificing the ability to see anything at night like with 35% and lower
This is a perfect representation. Excellent video, shows plenty of examples and is straight to the point.
I wish when RUclips was about efficient videos like this instead of everything being needlessly long-winded in order to maximize the monetization of absolutely everything.
Very helpful. I was in a Turo corvette with tinted windows recently and couldn't see sh*t at night and was then very skeptical about doing my own. After watching your video, I'm pretty sure it was 5% so I know not to go that dark
I used to always go either 5 or 20 but I put 50 on my most recent car and I think it’s perfect. Still blocks out the sun and leaves you with best visibility
@@navdeepsingh3508 nobody cares enough to stare
Zero privacy with 50, 50 is basically zero tint.
@@Clove_Parma idk man if I do it everyone else does it. I’m always staring, tryna see what goblins are sharing the road next to my car
In California, I think we can only put 88% (70% over existing tint) on front side windows. Total horse💩. It doesn't become worth the expense until you at least hit 50%.
I like 35% just enough privacy
Literally the only video that should be allowed on RUclips related to this topic. Well done man lol.
Thanks I tried!
Great video! Gets right to the point and demonstrated the differences really well!
Haha I love how so many people benefit from this video, including me man! Now I know I'm going to choose 5% on my car. Thanks!
I’m happy it helped!
Thanks for this. Throwing on some 5% on my car this week. I live in AZ, where it gets up to 120s in the summer, so there’s no law against how dark you can tint the side windows
Well done, what a great video this is exactly the demonstration we all needed!
Simple. Easy..Only vid I found that actually made it easy to compare...and decide. Well Done
Remember, a lot of windows already have 70 (it'll tell you on the corner of your window) . So if you want 35, then have 50 put on (70x50=35)
But by "a lot of windows" you're referring to the factory tint put on a lot of rear seat glass on SUV's etc right?
No “ clear” glass is actually 70%
Factory rear window tint is approx 15-18%
Yes on most trucks vans and suvs
@@TopLineTinting i did not know this, thank you for that brother, every day you learn something new
exactly what i needed thanks a lot. please consider making a second video that includes 25% tint
The best one yet, thanks for taking the time and money to do this.
This is very helpful! I'm trying to decide what shade to put on the front doors of my 2023 Nissan Frontier Pro4x. I usually go 35% just to avoid unwanted attention from cops, but this time I'm leaning toward matching the fronts to the rears for a more cohesive look and I think the rears are 20% from factory if I'm not mistaken. I'm planning on doing 70% on the windshield as well for UV blocking and glare reduction.... all Xpel XR Black.
I went with 35 on all front windows and 5 on all back windows more privacy for my back passengers but still comfortable enough to drive and park at night plus it still looks good in the day!
Have you been pulled over ?
Thank you so much for this video!! This is spot on of what everyone is looking for when they search up anything relative to “different tints comparisons”. 18% looks perfect to me , but sadly legal tint is 35% all around. Thank you !
