Case 770's were only made from 69-72... They never made a 770 in power white. Yours looks to be around a 72 by the decals. 770 production numbers were kind of low...under 1700 total which actually makes them sort of scarce.
Good info on the pto On the 2090 and 90series tractors the seal is a bugger but way easier than on yours just slides over the axle. I wish I had a tractor like the 770 for raking hay I unhook the baler to rake and that gets old Thanks for the vid Tyson
no such thing as too big of tractor on a baler... my dads smaller tractor uses more fuel on my baler than my magnum does... even rides better so its a win win
I have no complaints on my magnum.... but i have found that most the time people have their tires over inflated with duals on the back i only run 10-15 psi in each tire those older boxcar magnums dont have that much weight to them. I just downloaded an app from Michelin and it tells me what air pressure is safe to fun for how much weight and speed i want to travel. The last time the tire place was out they aired them all up to 25-30 pounds and it rode TERRIBLE.
i hate wiring issues, had a new holland that would give me a open circuit code on a clutch pack solenoid, and kick they transmission into a safety mode only giving you first gear... the actual bad wire wasn't even on the same circuit but back feeding through the computer giving a false error code... what a pita
I had an early 970 for ages, we mounted 200 gallon twin saddle tanks on her, and built a 30' spray boom with row banders. She was my spraying rig for years. Had to rebuild the injection pump and injectors finally about 12 years ago, man, that made a world of difference in the power she had. Open station too. Had the 3 speed power shift trans with 4 ranges. Loved that tractor. Wish Dad hadn't sold her finally.
We have the same problem with our 135 and we found metal shavings on the magnet on the pto lever that messed with the switch. No clue how metal shavings get on it but we clean it off then it works.
my neighbor mx has the same pto problem, future ag replaced the alternator, still has the same problem and the tach acts up, sometimes it stays t 0 rpm even with the tractor at higher thottle
it could be I just know the future ag charged over $2000 to change the alternator and it didn't fix the problem. I borrowed the mx tractor before, for some loader work and in my opinion they are a little lite in the back end. Its better then our small loader but, it needs to be weighted up. I can't remember if he had calcium in the rear tires or not.
hope u have better equip luck. and the old case keeps running.yup i have an 870.good machine.a 435 round and sitrex 10 wheel.liked ur video. upstate ny. wet this year
We have a 770 just like that. It is a diesel as well. I believe its a 1972. Has been sitting for a while but i have high hopes for the old girl. It was a good haying tractor
caseman D csd I grew up on a 1965 case 930. Later grandpa bought a case 1030. After that he got the BIG tractor...1370. That was a fun one to drive, too. But I still miss the old 930. Lots of torque.
Northern farmer yes it is!! Real tough to get off!! That's only fault, and it's expensive.. I enjoy your videos!! I'm from Kansas I farm and have a cow herd also.....
that 770 should theoretically be able to pull the older baler, my neighbor, who is actually my uncle pulls the same model with ease using his JD 4020, but has also been ran by a Kubota m6950 which is roughly 75 HP
Northern farmer I got a great uncle who's going on 80 if not already there. He didn't put a single round bale on the ground with a cabbed tractor until this year.
Still love to see the old tractors out there working, especially when I'm on them. Really nice video.
Indeed
Sure a sweet Ole 770 bud!! One of the best Made! Crops are lookin great pard! Hope the weather keeps good for ya! FARM ON BOYS!!

I was close... and yes I thought they never made any in white
Good info on the pto On the 2090 and 90series tractors the seal is a bugger but way easier than on yours just slides over the axle. I wish I had a tractor like the 770 for raking hay I unhook the baler to rake and that gets old Thanks for the vid Tyson
Its the perfect raking tractor... I like being the open sometimes
no such thing as too big of tractor on a baler... my dads smaller tractor uses more fuel on my baler than my magnum does... even rides better so its a win win
Do you find your magnum rdes rough... Either that or I have the worst suspended seat in ours

that does sound good. wow that is a lot of hay.cows like to eat.
Yea we need over 2000 bales for this winter
We had the same pto problem with our 135
i hate wiring issues, had a new holland that would give me a open circuit code on a clutch pack solenoid, and kick they transmission into a safety mode only giving you first gear... the actual bad wire wasn't even on the same circuit but back feeding through the computer giving a false error code... what a pita
Thats bullshit

my mx 110 has a short in the switch if the switch wiggles it shuts off so you cant touch it after its on or it will shut off
Buy a new switch
I did it was just giving you something to possibly look at
I have the exact same case that you use to rake but I have a cab on mine
770 with a cab?
We have the same problem with our 135 and we found metal shavings on the magnet on the pto lever that messed with the switch. No clue how metal shavings get on it but we clean it off then it works.
Still got the same tires my 1972 johndeere came with on the back
love the set up wish I could run it
Tina Fitzwater maybe y'all should get one and Reed could fix it up
check the wires behind the seat
it was on the alternator
my neighbor mx has the same pto problem, future ag replaced the alternator, still has the same problem and the tach acts up, sometimes it stays t 0 rpm even with the tractor at higher thottle
Probably that yellow wire
it could be I just know the future ag charged over $2000 to change the alternator and it didn't fix the problem. I borrowed the mx tractor before, for some loader work and in my opinion they are a little lite in the back end. Its better then our small loader but, it needs to be weighted up. I drilled alot of wheat when I was 18 with that tractors twin loved running it we called it old reliable
we used it on the old end wheel drill back in the day
I have been waiting to hear one the old 1970s gas models run.
Our hay ground is so muddy can't get on our fields here in Ontario:( best crop too I'm worried about tramping out the alfalfa
That was us at harvest last year... I feel for yea
hope u have better equip luck. and the old case keeps running.yup i have an 870.good machine.a 435 round and sitrex 10 wheel.liked ur video. upstate ny. wet this year
Hey hows it going down there. I have never saw a 870 yet ever... Probably dont think I will either
Big tractor the 770, I thought it is a six cylinder, never mind it do the job just fine
4... 267 cubic inch
looks a good crop of grass, love that 770 thanks for the video
We have a 770 just like that. It is a diesel as well. I believe its a 1972. Has been sitting for a while but i have high hopes for the old girl. It was a good haying tractor
Cool...shes a good hay tractor
U CAN'T GET JOHN DEERE TRACTORS TO GO WITH THOSE BALERS ?
Can you no till into the hay stubble
Yes... but my drill wont
question will the mx 135 turn short enough to turn around on 6 row 30 w a 3pt and be right back
No Idea
Like the video keep them coming , I like your fleet of tractors , my dad drove a mx135
Thanks Chris...
That's got to make you miss PTO levers like that 770 probably has.
YES!!! lol
your case 770 is 1973. the white cab came in 1974. when the bought David Brown company. that's only thing what we drive j.i. case tractors.
caseman D csd I grew up on a 1965 case 930. Later grandpa bought a case 1030. After that he got the BIG tractor...1370. That was a fun one to drive, too. But I still miss the old 930. Lots of torque.
I thought I was close
is Sean always so talkative
Always
Love those old style Case tractors.
nice operation you and your family/crew have.
Thanks jonathan
overkill is underrated
I enjoy ploughing.
Thanks for tip mx fix n nice case don't see any around anymore👍
They are rare
awesome-o Case tractor
I have a 567 net wrap baler!! Lot faster !!!! Little more for wrap but quicker!!!!!
I would like net wrap to... They are just a pain in the ass when they are all frozen though.
Northern farmer yes it is!! Real tough to get off!! That's only fault, and it's expensive.. I enjoy your videos!! I'm from Kansas I farm and have a cow herd also.....
Nice 770.
Thanks!
cool
Cool vid 😎
69 or 72 was the last year for the 770 19 74 was the 870
I wasn't sure really...
You guys cover some ground
Faster the better
Please weld/bolt a roll bar on top of your case 770, stay safe!
I love your vids!
Thanks Colton
It would be neat to see you plow some of that field. You don't see many bottom plows used around here.
I still have a 8 bottom... a 5 and a 4 bottom... all john deere
Desert tan is the name of that creamish color
that 770 should theoretically be able to pull the older baler, my neighbor, who is actually my uncle pulls the same model with ease using his JD 4020, but has also been ran by a Kubota m6950 which is roughly 75 HP
It pulled the old 510 john deere a few times but the drawbar bent lol
Do you have to shut the pto off when unloading the 566?
nope
That ole case would run that baler!
I dont think I would want to bale on the open station lol
Northern farmer I got a great uncle who's going on 80 if not already there. He didn't put a single round bale on the ground with a cabbed tractor until this year.
