Big thank you for this, not being mechanically minded this helped me change out the thermostat on my 2015, liked how you showed in detail how the sensor wire disconnected.
Great video, thank you! I didn't think I'd like the video without audio instructions, but the text on screen made it easy to follow. The camera angles were great too.
Thank you. I'm going to do this now. Best video I've seen and I've watched a lot of them during my diy auto phase. I always watch at least 3 videos for every fix i do because most are not complete. Yours is absolutely all i need.
after searching video after video I finally found this one. I didn’t know which way I was supposed to turn the screws & your video showed me just that. Thank you so much & now I can get down & dirty 😂thank you thank you 😊
I changed my 2013 cherokee with motorad thermostat it reaches right temp thermosta opens drops temperature and doesnt go over 93 degrees celsious n the temp guage is closer to the third line from cold under the line thats before half way do i need dealer part is that the problem
Robert what do you mean at Min 5:11 that the air take needs to be installed correctly as the dealership did not? Do those cross-hairs have to be straight in the direction of the flow? Clarify please. Thank you
You should have just opened the screw right away there is probably air in the system or it was low on coolant. Did it go away I see the comment was a month ago
Not the most fun to get to.... it's on the driver's side, bolted into the engine block, you will have to take your engine cover and air intake off just like in this video... and its pretty far down.
Any particular reason why you loosen the bolt holding the thermostat housing first before removing the hose? i'm replacing mine tomorrow. thanks for sharing!

the best DYI video I have watched. All the little pointers were great to watch. Excellent.
Amazing video!! Listing all the tools, steps and pointers were awesome. Thank you
Very well Demo very clear and easy to understand for a non mechanic like me :) two thumbs up man.
Your video was AWESOME! Just had to replace one and had it fixed in 20 minutes.
Thank you, Robert, for this excellent video. I'll be changing mine out this weekend.
Wow this was great. Just what I was looking for. Thanks for your contribution.
Such an excellent video; thank you so much! Do you know where the engine coolant sensor is located?
On the left cylinder head (Drivers side). The position is on the left side, at the rear corner, close to the firewall and facing the steering column.
Excellent video, Best I've seen yet !
Very Detailed!! Thank you very much.🙏🏾
It's easier to move the hose clamp to the passenger side rather than the right side (Drivers side)
Well done.
Dealership seemed kinda pissed that I was replacing this myself.😆
great video and helpfull, Thanks very much

No, they didn't put that plastic pin in the grommet, they put it on the side
Great video how long did it take you to change the thermostat
jose cardenas about 30min
Looks like it took 8 minutes.😸
Very well done. Thanks.
Hey thanks for posting this. Was very helpful. Is it normal to hear liquid sloshing around afterwards? I bled it after car ran for about 5 minutes.

@@jonthelamb4549 yea it went away after driving for a bit, thanks
Great vid, thank you
Hey Robert, would you happen to know where is the Fluids Thermostad sensor that’s is actually connected to a wire?
Not the most fun to get to.... it's on the driver's side, bolted into the engine block, you will have to take your engine cover and air intake off just like in this video... and its pretty far down.
I cant send a picture in the comments
Dude, thank you so much for the quick reply, yes please, if you could them over than would be great
I sent you a picture on Twitter
@theleaderguy
Any reason why my bleeder screw has a slight leak?
Thanx
I just changed the thermostat but my check engine light is still on after driving it a full day. Any ideas?
Chris Dolce did you bleed the screw as he said at the very end?
Clear the codes
Can u just disconnect the negative wire to the battery to clear the code??
do you need to top off fluid
Schindlersfist I would just look at your coolant level, to be sure it's above the add line. Side note, only use coolant recommended for your Jeep.
Why did you replace the thermostat housing?
marty maness my old thermostat housing was not opening up when it reached temperature.
Robert Delgado i found out that the thermostat and the housing are connected. Sometimes they are seperate.
also thermostat part at auto zone is $13, whole housing is only $18. so might as well for the slight price difference
Any particular reason why you loosen the bolt holding the thermostat housing first before removing the hose? i'm replacing mine tomorrow. thanks for sharing!
rgeiv Not at all.... just lost track of what I was doing and didn't want to refilm it.
Yea seems like it'd be better to remove the hose first with the bucket under.. Would catch most of the coolant.
is this the coil to the engine being replaced?
Lol...No the THERMOSTAT.
👍👍👍👍
Could do without the music
