very enjoyable video. Mind if I ask about your kayak setup? I'm using the Hobie Compass, but thinking about the Old Town or Vibe. How do you like the stability of your kayak on big water? Looking forward to more of your videos.
Thanks for watching and the sub! Thanks for the question. I need to do a video on this yak. It's a used 2014 Native Slayer that I have slowly upgraded these past 6 years. This pedal yak really changed the way I fish and opened so many different opportunities. The guy I bought this yak from wanted an Old Town and I helped by buying this. If you save your pennies and just wait for a good deal, you can save a lot of money or sometimes get a ton of upgrades from someone who wants better or just wants out.
Glad you got something from the vid! This year has been tough for popping corks. Most fish I've seen on social media were caught with bait this year. I think we have until the rest of the month before the bulls leave. I would tell you to get out there right now!
You can launch your kayak at all the public boat ramps. You have Oriental, Dawson's, Lee's Landing, and Lawson's. Explore and knock on doors but don't trespass.
Nice bull red! Plan on taking the kayak up that way Saturday thinking Dawson
Good luck Jeff! Pull that cork until your arm is sore and then pull it some more. Let me know how you do.
What a great video Steve! I'll be on the Neuse next week...
Let me know how you do! I got into em last week and have a new vid coming soon.
Great video Steve!
Great catch. Enjoyed watching this, 👍
Glad you enjoyed it! Only 2 months before the big boys come back.
This guy catches some awesome fish. This channel needs to blow up…
Thanks! I'm just glad you enjoy it! Let me know if you have any questions.
@@SteveOllice do olives stuffed with blue cheese make good bait? I heard that but not sure if someone was messing with me…
@@sjd7188 they make an excellent garnish for a Blue Sapphire martini!😂
@@SteveOllice didnt think the reds liked martinis but ill try it
That was a very nice Red...when he saw the kayak he was getting away from there....
Awesome video I’m still trying to catch my first big bull red , I live down the road in little Washington, I just subscribed
If I can do it, you can. You’re in such a good spot and can go fishing anytime. Takes me 3 hours to get on the water.

Thanks for sharing your gear setup and fish finding tip! How late in September will they hang around?

Trust me, I've been thinking about it since last year!
Any luck yet in 2023?
@@patrickcotter945 went out this past Saturday and got skunked. However, my son got some excellent B-roll that I will be using. Any luck on your end?
