I bought the cd and dvd seperately so I could get the awesome trading cards. THE QUALITY OF ALL THE PETRA CD'S ARE ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE and I love the way the PETRA logo is in the background of all the pages as he showed in this review. I sincerely hope that the rest of the JOHN SCHLITT era of Petra is remastered and reissued. If the entire catalog isn't reissued, I HOPE TO AT LEAST GET "BEYOND BELIEF" reissued and remastered. My PERSONAL FAVORITE PETRA ALBUM EVER.

As always, I love these videos! I was patiently waiting for this review. That live album is one of my favorite all time live albums and it stands up and is comparable to any other live album in quality, Christian or secular, like Jerusalem In His Majesty's Service (1985), Rez 20 Years (1992) and Scorpions World Wide Live (1985). Also, I think Petra borrowed or bought their lighting technology from another classic band Servant and I think they ehnanced or added to it and was very expensive. I've liked Petra since 1985, especially the 1980-1994 era and the current Classic Petra era. They are one of my favorite top 5 bands. I was worried the DVD wasn't as good as the 2006 version where the masters were lost and someone gave a bad review of the DVD on facebook. The DVD being darker may be an advantage where I think there were moments on the original 2006 DVD the brightness was too sharp or bright where the stage lighting hid the other elements of the video. I have this on order with some other pre-orders. Greg continues to do great work as usual!

Do not support Girder. Highly recommend looking into what they did to Stryper. Girder is desperate to suppress anything anyone says about it because they know it was un Christian and unethical. Support the bands who made the music, not Girder.

@@NewKillerStar_34 To say a few things: 1. Greg Hayes of Girder Music, Matt Hunt of Boones Overstock and Bill Bafford of Roxx Records obtain licensing rights to reissue albums. They start working on these agreements months before the preorders go up. The record label or the legal department or the band's management or the band themselves are contacted to discussing getting the permissions or any combination of these parties. In the case of Stryper, Big 3 or their manager Dave Rose would of been contacted. 2. When a band signs the original contract, it's up to them to do their due diligence as to what will be paid to them and if necessary to get a lawyer so they are getting the best possible deal. Depending on the contract, the label may have the right to outsource any reproduction of the albums with or with the band's involvement. If the band is involved they would likely have some sort of publishing rights. 3. When I buy something, unless it's a bootleg, I'm not responsible for who get's paid and who don't or what the money might be used for. When you buy a product and you read the label and says it's made from a country like China do you worry about if the manufacturers, the people on the assembly line, wholesalers, the transport people all getting paid fairly? I don't. It's a free market enterprise system in Western countries or at least it leans towards that way - if you don't like something, don't buy it. It's your choice. No one is going to loose any sleep if you don't want to. Also, you shouldn't go around telling people what to and what not to support. It's their/our choice and it's really none of your business. 4. If you have reservations with Girder contact Greg and get his side of instead of going around and telling people not to support Girder. Many or all of Girder's customers have heard Michael Sweet's version and whether a customer decides to buy something from Girder it's their choice. Girder and the other 2 vendors have reissued many bands with no issues from what I can tell. While I appreciate both points of view, I am in no way criticizing either side and I refuse to take a side as I was not there behind the scenes to have an objective opinion and anything else is just conjecture/subjective. 5. While the 3 vendors all do their part in legally getting the permission to reissue classic albums, if a band feels they were wronged we all should let the vendor and that band resolve it themselves in their own way and to leave it alone. My impression over all is these 3 vendors have done a wonderful job in reissuing these classic albums and even many of the bands themselves or a representative have endorsed their albums being reissued.

I have the Original CD version of CITS and my version has much better high end then this remaster and it’s overall volume is louder then this Girder remaster.
Also on the DVD it’s missing Computer Brains and Speak To The Sky.
I love the work Scott Waters did on the new art work fantastic job. Overall I am glad I got this reissue , glad Greg was able to do it, you shouldn’t claim it’s louder when it’s not.

Did I say he couldn’t express an opinion? Pretty sure my last comment addressed a factual physical verifiable observation between the original cd release and your remaster not an opinion.

The remaster doesn’t need the volume the original does. That’s not really my opinion it is what I played and what happened. It is also much more crisp. That’s just what my ears heard. I even used headphones. There is a clear difference.

You miss my point, older discs were manufactured 18-24 bit therefore by todays comparison of 32-36 bit technology newer CDs are higher or louder sonically in volume, therefore you would need to increase the volume on your receiver when listening to older discs to match the volume of newer discs. Not the case here, my original CITS disc the same exact one as Tim’s is both louder volume wise sonically and w/high end tones and that shouldn’t be the case.
I had to increase the volume on the new disc to bring up the Sonics I shouldn’t have to do that, I am not talking about blasting paint off the walls here either. let’s say out of a 10 volume, if I set the volume at 4 play both discs the newer disc should both be louder and clearer depending on how the remaster was done. Girder took out the higher end tones and brought up the lower end which is fine but it’s noticeable my point is again for example out of a volume of 4 my original like Tim’s you should have to raise the receiver volume to about 6 to get the same overall sonic loudness, not the case here.
I had to Increase the volume on the remaster and I have plenty of remasters I ve purchased to update my collection on my original 80’s and 90’s discs, because we all know how lousy the Christian Hard Rock and Metal bands were treated back then poor production. Petra is different they had better production because of who they were just like Stryper but as I said, maybe on the production run my new disc something happened but both the dvd and cd the recording volume is lower you shouldn’t have to increase the volume on a newer release it should be the other way around.
