I'm on the boat as I write this comment. My suggestion is to not even go on this boat. I have been on 7 carnival cruises in the past and enjoyed them all. However this boat is overly crowded, lines for food are 15-20 minutes or longer. Ice machines/beverage stations have been broken most of the time as well.
Cruising in July and looking forward to it! Would you know how the shows run....I have a 8:15pm dining, is there enough time to see a show before and make it to dinner. Do you know if there was a lot of late night shows after 10 to see, like a Comedy Show?
@@eileenallen9458 i was also on the 14 day cruise on the Sunrise. normal comedy shows run every hour starting at 6:30 so you should be able to make at least 2 a night! There are shows after 10! Most notable would be the late night comedy show which was 11pm every few nights. It was two comedians back to back rated r show. as for the main theater shows, the times vary but the earlier showings are intended to end in time for the late dinner.
Good video. Just came back from the 14 day cruise. Great time. Ship started to run out of stuff on the last 2 days...lol. Never had an issue getting into Fahrenheit. We had anytime dining, and on 2 occasions, our food wasn’t really hot. Like it sat under the warmers too long. But all, in all, a great cruise. Also if you want to be by the pool, but want a little bit of quite, the back pool behind the Lido restaurant is ideal. Still have a bar, the pizza joint, and the seafood place.
My husband and I going are going on this ship in May leaving out of Norfolk. I appreciate your information because it helps us what to look to eliminate because we are both in our seventies.
Awesome video!! We are booked for February on deck 11 Serenity. I have 2 questions: 1.) Does Serenity have hours? 2.) I was told Serenity cabins are considered part of Spa9 what all comes complimentary, my booking agent really glossed over that. Thank you all in advance for your replies.
my family just got off from a 4 day Bermuda trip. They were irritated by the walk thru casino to go everywhere, the wind was crazy so they closed off top water things, rocky waters every day due to ship being smaller, and crowded pools. Enjoy, hopefully you have a better experience
I find out if you in a stateroom with a person who ask for wheelchair assistance they let everyone in that cabin walk with then rite on the ship skip true that line
Me in the people that we shared a Room with Watched a video on RUclips of what our Room was supposed to look like, yea lmbo, not at all... I hope you enjoy yourself but be prepared to be mildly disappointed.
thanks for the information i am booked on this for a holiday cruise this year, already booked the spa day pass. thanks so much keep up the great videos.
I cursing carnival victory again 8n Sept. I wish carnival would add non alcoholic drink package for a cheaper price. You can get coffees milkshakes juices and sodas all day. 35 dollars a day. This would be great for non drinkers. I'm bringing my sodas with me this time.
@@CruiseRadio Princess Cayes (never been!), Nassau and Freeport. We're going to try to spend more at Freeport then we normally would at any port to support them, as i'm sure they need everyone's help! Any chance you can subscribe back? We'd appreciate it greatly! :-)
For Miami, personally opinion is you're better off using the cruise port garage. I've tried off site parking once and it was a pain in the butt with waiting. At the end, it's how important time is to you on debark day. I've also used hotel park and stay and took their shuttle to the port and Uber back to the hotel.
Great video, thank you! Regarding the clam shell rentals on Half Moon Cay - I assume you can reserve one of these ahead of time at the Shore Excursions desk once you board the ship on embarkation day? Because I do not see these available on the shore excursions online. Also, I was not able to reserve one for Princess Cay when I went there last year - I had to wait until I got to the island. Thanks in advance for any info!
Thanks for watching. Unless they have changed things within the past month, they were in our excursion guide that was in our room. Let me know when you get back if it was the same. Enjoy your trip.
Magic is a bit larger but having sailed both in the past year, I really enjoyed my time on Sunrise. Thank you for watching and have an awesome cruise. Let me know if you have any questions.
Hi, I am cruising the Sunrise in July and reserved late dinning (2nd seating around 8pm), I am just concerned now with this reserved time we may miss out on shows. Is there chances to still get to a show or comedy show with this late seating?
@@walterimhof9307 Thank you! Thats a great idea! I couldn't image Carnival only having shows for those who have early dining. We chose a later time since our children are all adults. Quick question....is there enough time to see a show before a 8:15pm show? I have never cruised Carnival, not sure how long the shows are?
Just got off the boat. Very dirty and has a musty smell. Would recommend NCL or Royal Carribean. The best part of the trip was the cruise director, Chris The Flying Scotsman
@Sylvia isgod I follow him on FB as well! We are sailing on the newly renovated Radiance in May 2021 so the review of this ship was very interesting to me. I am hoping that since it is almost a year and a half away they have plenty of time to work out the kinks and fix their initial errors in redesigning the Sunrise. I'm also hoping that Chris ends up being our CD for the sailing!
Also for deck 8, and 4 people in that room with the balcony, so you know if it is bigger than the Disney Cruise rooms, and is it like small beds for the kids instead of there bunk beds!
Went on the Sunshine and it was awful! I got a spa balcony cabin and the beds were awful, had to put folded towels underneath the mattress to keep from falling through. It was was to expensive to get such crappy bed! And with our spa deck, you had access to the spa area well that was a joke so crowded you couldn’t even get your toe in the pool! I will never go on this ship again it was horrible so crowded they overbooked, the only thing the food was fairly good. Everything else was not.
I liked the Dinner meals the best! Nice choices and are server went out of his way to remember what we liked. Food was very good, but one soup was to spicy for me, since I have throat issues with spicy food, our server brought me something else.
Yes, that's ok if some people want to spend more on their cruise. We have priced out both and always go with Carnival. We have sailed 2 RC cruises earlier.
@@CruiseRadio yes I've been on 3 cruises.2 were on the same ship... so I've been on 3 other ships. I don't understand how that boat got a 200 million dollar anything... definitely not a refurbishment. I will say the staff was pretty nice but I will never go back on that boat
Just got back from new England cruise. I was disappointed, the ship was older, not much activity wise,, air conditioning did not work, elevators out. It was my birthday which was not acknowledged at all. Prefer ncl and celebrity. The steward and waiters were very nice. Best part was I wasn't working.
Do you have any tips for Carnival Sunrise?
Cruise Radio no
Keep me posted when you have some! Thank you for watching.
