I got an 8ml sample of Silky Woods, as everyone speaks very highly about it, but I didn't like it a bit... to me it smells like an 80s leather jacket and dirty smoke... I am quite shocked, as I was really looking forward to it (and I am sure the seller is reliable). I love Absolute Aphrodisiac and Peregrina too
Silky Woods is an all-time love for me! But that's the fun of fragrance, it's such a personal journey. Wearing Silky Woods in brisk weather is like being shrouded in a warm, sexy aura when I'm walking around. Just incredible! But to your point, I didn't care for Sunset Hour at first. I had a sample of it from when I bought Silky Woods. From the 2ml tester, it was very flat and basic. I ended up buying a full bottle anyway bc the fragrance girlies kept talking about it, and I know the full bottle experience can be very different from the wear from a 2ml sample. Now, I'm on my 2nd 100ml bottle and it is in my top 5 fragrances for life. Even with over 300 bottles, I constantly reach for Sunset Hour. Silky Woods feels like a cold weather wear imo, so I am sure to finish my current bottle this season.
@@tmonique11 Definitely, scents are very subjective, and that's the beauty of it. Also, timing is very important, as one may like fragances at some point that didn't before (similarly to what happened to you). I remembered falling in love with a perfume (N.C.P. 705 Leather & Oud) in the shop, buying it, and then not being able to wear it as I found it leaned too masculine (but I did not find it masculine in the shop). Just like us, scents have their own journey too 🙂
My husband is currently obsessed with The Musc from essential parfums, really under the radar house but its incredible warm and addictive sweet rose and musky base, and affordable for a niche fragrance. Also Bo from Liis is sooo good for a dry fresh and sweet woodsy scent
Celeste! ❤ I don’t care much for the violet note, but something about Celeste is so beautiful. I remember the first time I smelt it. I instantly liked it a lot, but I fell in love with that perfume during my sample wear test. I still need to get a whole bottle; this video reminded me I must do so.
Recently I was complimented on Sueded Oud Clean reserve paired with Liis Bo, also sometimes I wear multiple skin scents like Pinrose Pillowtalk Poet, Rosie by Rosie Jane, Nemat Amber, clean reserve skin and that gets me compliments too! I’ve also received compliments on clean reserve solar bloom paired with floral street Arizona bloom during the summer

Intense Cafe - I will ALWAYS get compliments. My bottle is almost empty. I also have Roses Vanille - I like it a lot but IC stole my heart. I am a huge layerer, but I won't with IC. I exfoliate and moisturize my skin well before I apply IC and it is LONG lasting! ❤

I’ve worn Guidance 46 out the house twice & each time I’ve been SHOWERED in compliments. I was surprised that I received even more compliments with 46 than the OG!
Your hair looks beautiful at this length! I have gotten compliments on 7 virtues vanilla woods but all I get is smoke which for me is sad. Another one is Burberry brit. I find it depends on the weather and what notes come out on my skin. I have a whole bunch I want to sample this fall including bianco latte and gris charnel so here's to hoping I can find some good fall scents.
