Modern warfare never had any depth to anything, even MAKAROV is a simple character.

Overall, I’d say storywise Cold War was a solid game. Brought back our original boys Mason, Woods, and Hudson, gave us great new characters like Bell, Adler, Sims, Park, Lazar, stitch, felt like a classic great cod story
For a game made partly during covid, with cut development time and having to cut Blackout 2 with most of the Ural Mountains, they knocked it out of the park I say, least for campaign and zombies. Multiplayer didn't do it for me and I feel like zombies could have gotten more content and a better Outbreak mode, but otherwise I'm pretty happy for this to have been my "covid game". Hope Treyarch get a proper, uninterrupted dev cycle next time so they have the chance to do even better!

@@PhillyThug They don’t need Blackout 2.0 lol, They can just integrate it into Warzone, which they already did. Warzone started off really well with little to no bugs, and it was fun. Blackout on the other hand had a rocky and rough start, and then eventually died out in about a few months.

I was saying how their development time was interrupted because they were developing an entire Blackout 2.0 map in the Ural Mountains, but they had to cut it. Some remnants can be found in Fireteam and Outbreak, but there are leaks that show there was meant to be a lot more in the Blackout mode. Go take your Blackout vs Warzone argument elsewhere, Battle royale modes suck

The fact that Stitch and Adler were pivotal characters through the MP story just proves that Treyarch has some really good writers on their team; and I'm honestly going to miss this little side story in the black ops series

Would've been cool. I liked warmode from Ww2, it would've been a clever way to advance the plot with each season since that mode has cutscene at the beginning and end & the objectives you do throughout it.

This story could’ve been far more deeper and had more meaning if it would’ve came with the campaign as well. I never really seemed to care because all we got were two minute trailers every season. The timeline moved fast and the Warzone events didn’t help improve the story in my opinion because I always seemed to ask questions. I guess it’s okay considering that they need something to build continuity for Warzone

Not to be nerd, but Adler was using a 1911, which is normally a .45. .45 ACP is generally a subsonic round, meaning it wouldn't break the sound barrier. This round did not break the sound barrier, and so it was probably Adler.

What? The campaign was just a BO rip off. They've overdone the brain washing thing. It worked in BO because it was unexpected. This game with its characters went so over the top that made everyone unrelatable. Look at BO characters, Stainer, Krevchenko, Resnov, Woods, Mason, Hudson... They were all badass soldiers, believable. Know look at Stich and the rest of bad guys. They look sooooo cartoony, this COD was trash, and I hate it even more because I love the black ops series

Ummm... not really, that was pretty accurate, the US didn't stop their use of Project Monarch and MK Ultra / MK Ultra II (supposedly) until the late 90's ... So that was pretty damn accurate. And there are some that have said Russia is still messing with their programs.

Hey thats how some see Star Wars Battlefront 2 in 2017. The game is phenomenal. Just needed the extra content in the beginning. I liked the campaign and into expect a sequel to this to fill in the gap from here til Black Ops 2. Or if we are gonna rewrite Black Ops 2 story that would be interesting too.
Awesome scene, I'm so glad the story kept going throughout multiplayer in a deeper way than we've ever seen before. I hope they keep this direction of storytelling and focus beyond just the campaign, do even deeper and more interesting things for future titles. Even just form it's campaign, CW has one of the most interesting stories in the series; they go beyond just fanservice and callbacks, Raven wrote an exciting and worthwhile continuation. Also Bell's Theme music gets me every time it's suchhh an amazing track! I wasn't sure what Treyarch would do next, but this ending implies to me that we will be seeing a "Black Ops" game once again when it's their turn to make a full game, my hope is...something in line with Black Ops 2 on the timeline, maybe even jumping between past and future like BO2 did in it's storyline, now that Warzone has opened the door to combining eras of technology, I hope we see much more of that down the road. 😀

if you curious what's happen after 1984,woods got a mission somewhere in cuba where he dealt with menendez's father. it is told in ps vita black ops declassified(somehow it's canon though)

I played Cold War since the Alpha. I played the Beta and then I got the full game on Christmas day. It's hard to believe the story is over already. It just feels like season one started yesterday. Thank you Treyarch.

Legit had an excellent year with Cold War multiplayer and zombies. I’m excited to see what the Zombies team has in store for Vanguard but I hope Activision doesn’t burn them all out.

Canonically that wouldn't make sense since he isn't in any part of the story thats in the future. But if they do something with the archetypes they brought up in BLACK OPS 4, that would be the only way they could bring him back as he is now.

@@GarciaThaInfamous funny part is there was a glitch in vanguard beta that showed a cover screen and it may have shown the season 1 operator. He looks an a lot like a mix of soap mactavish or ruin from bo4. They may do archetypes again in vanguard with modern warfare characters

@@ghostwhencodghosts9114 to be fair, we know from BO2 cutscenes that Krav and Woods survived the grenades, he was sent to a few POW camps in Vietnam, The Hanoi Hilton, namely. Then got out, rejoined the team for the events of BOCW, then after the raid of the Menéndez Cartel, killed Raul’s sis. He and his team were later captured by Menéndez somewhere, only to be rescued by Mason and Woods for the events of BO2
