I've seen trucks that haul bean meal use a vibrator to get it all out of their trailer. Maybe something like that would help in this situation but I don't really know since it's a bin. It's a small hand held thing that is powered by the air from the semi
We had a vibrator on the bin for blowing feed to the weaner barns, we had a lot of problems with the sensor that turns it on and off, But I bet that would work if you could get it setup right.
Is there any chance of getting metal shavings into the feed? Maybe you can rig a magnet to catch any that might be in there, if you feel it could be a problem.
@@farmerdan87 This will sound like a goofy idea, but you could probably do it with subwoofers attached to and spaced evenly around the bin. It would work like an ultrasonic cleaner, but with low frequencies. You'd need to find a frequency that would work best and run them in phase. It might take a while, and it would be annoying, but it would likely work.
It's a frustrating problem. Only 50kg/tonne in the weaner and finishing feed. It doesn't stop all of them but it seems to help for sure. They come and go in spurts.
Hey Dan, really enjoy your videos, I'm just up the road from you, north of Mitchell. Are you guys at the wheat yet? Mid to late next week I think we will be going here. thanks again for the great videos you put out. You're a natural at it!
Hey thanks! I'm having fun making them, everyone has to have a hobby I guess. Haven't tried the wheat yet, some neighbours have started but ours still has some green patches. Good luck with your harvest, the wheat looks good this year.
Keep going brother, your channel is great 👏👏👏👏👍🇺🇸🇲🇦🇺🇸I salute you👍👍👍You are the best
Put up a small 30 ton bin, 15' wide with a small sweep auger on bottom, save a ton of headaches, would work like a small blue silo.
My brother had one of those back in the day. We've been really happy with the chisel bottom bin, this is the first serious issue.
Good to see everyone has days like that…. For a while there I was thinking it was just me! Lol
Haha the more we all talk, the better we'll all feel about the dumb things that happen on our farms 😅

were the safety squints broken?
Good morning, please how much can cost all the pig farm equipment like yours?
Compressed air would be fun but that much suspended dust and a spark might send it to the moon.
An interesting idea, but yes that's a scary thought 😅

Fire/explosion risk taking an angle grinder to those? Makes me pretty nervous....
Desperate times desperate measures.
I’ve been having gut twist in my pigs also. How much wheat shorts do you use per ton on finishing pigs ?

Next time you should reject the load if he cant get it out off the truck.
Agreed
What makes a bad load? Humidity? Why accept the load if you know it will cause problems?
I think it was the humidity. It was crazy hot and humid the day it came. We're just too nice I guess! 🤷
