I come home from work to discover Mike and Aaron are now Tree Perfect! Lmao nice job guys!
Just remember this.... Plant them low they won't grow, plant them high they won't die.
Great video Michael.
I went to leave a comment and just before I hit the button saw you said the same thing, hhmmm from This Old House.
@@nicclark9791 Roger Cook
@@tgiacobbi I remember he got sick and the show kinda slowed down. Best guy on the show!
And in next weeks DP’s gardening tips. DP will show how to plant roses with a 140.
😂😂
Or pruning with a circular saw on a excavator
😂😂😂
🤣🤣🤣😂😂🙂🙃
😂🙂😂🤣😅🤣👍👍
Wow😮 we get a double feature today. DP is actually putting trees back in the ground and he's using a shovel.
Don't make mulch volcano around the trees it will kill them. Love the variety of videos. It's never boring.
Mike & Aaron, here's one for you to remember: "Plant it High - it won't die!" "Plant it Low - It won't grow!" Great video! Thanks; Mike, Aaron and Berny! Lee
Truth! 🌳
For future reference, plant a length of PVC pipe with the trees for deep watering in the future, just fill up the pipe, this encourages the roots to spread out deeper.
I forgot all about this one! The most like to have a couple of really solid taproots going straight down and having water to reach for will help them!
SHOVELS!?! I never thought we'd see the day!
DP works like a guy getting paid. MBTS works like a court appointed volunteer at a soup kitchen. lol great job and video.
😂 👍
The dog in the background said hey y’all watch this! Animals never miss a candid camera shot.
saw that also 😂😂
Ditto! 😂
You and Aaron need to build a hydraulic tree spade, then you can start a tree removal, transplant and installation service and put Arron in charge of that operation. You have tons of trees to work with.😊
That's a great idea
Yeah with DP crazy ideas and Top notch metal magic with MBTS
I kind of wish I could get into that business! The machines are awesome an instantly add tens of thousands of dollars to a home's value
Aaron got promoted to landscaper-behind-the-scenes.
He was... The man behind the trees.
Don't cover the dirt on the root ball. The roots have to be able to get oxygen for the plant to live. Plant 'em low - they won't grow: Plant 'em high - they won't die.
Oxygen is an important factor for happy soil.
They are also burying the trunk in mulch . Mulch up against the trunk will keep the trunk wet and will rot
From planting 🌲 trees to making a new pond. You two get into a lot of different things in your business DP. Love watching your channel ❤
Totally agree with planting them at ground level. Always plant a tree, shrub, flower or vegetable a few inches above ground level. With rainfall, the rootball will absorb the rain and sink some and once below ground level with each rainfall the tree will become waterlogged and drown.
Good morning from across the pond and to say its good to see trees being planted instead of being removed so have a good day.
Aaron's response to the "something we've neverdone" should have been work 😅😂
And there it is - the base for the utility pole sharpener!
My wife always puts a tin can in the hole before she puts in the dirt for a new tree.
12:41 u don't see that every day a camouflaged skid steer lol
Skidsteer like I'm a tree u can't see me I'm a tree I'm a tree 😂😂😂
Planting tree's, cutting tree's, Make up your mind Mike.....lol This should be an interesting job Mike, looking forward to it. Keep up the good work guys.
i have been rubbing my eyes, have i just been watching DP planting trees !!
Thanks for planting the trees, Bernie!!!
I remember when you built that thing! Make sure the root flare(the trunk next to the root ball) needs to be at ground level. If its too far below, the tree will die. Lift the tree as it settles. And mulch needs to be two inches away from the trunk and only about 3-4 inches deep, and spread out to the drip line of the branches(I’m a TN master gardener. I hope Bernie stakes those trees for the first two years. If you get winds like we do, those trees will need it, til the roots can take over.
Yes it’s about Damm time for another Dam/ pond job , great job Skipper & little Buddy .
Guess we can add arborist to your resume 😎 awesome job and as always a great day hanging out with you and Aaron...in yet another adventure... have to say the trees made MBTS a bit shorter than normal 😂😂🇺🇲🚜🌳🏡
It's important to plant tree at correct level. If lots of mulch, plantings must be higher. Pond is going to be amazing.
When you said, 'trees are like weeds-they're no problem if they're out of my way!' I could hear my grandmother. "If it's not where I want it, it's a weed!"
Dirt prefect landscaping company has just been started with a lot of OTJT😅 great video thanks Mike and Aaron and Bernie
Thanks love the Video Mike and Aaron are you Planting trees that very good .love it .
Hey just a bit if advice on future plantings. 1. Get a soil ammendment material that has 2 main components; Microrizae fungus and a water retention gel. You sprinkle it in the bottom, mid and about 3" from the top of grade. It greatly aids in transplant stress. You dont have to worry about N,P,K, type fertilizers so much, just amendments. A few bales if oeat moss is also cheap insurance that you can use to improve the soil, and help with water retention. 2.) Extremely important is flood the hole with water as you set the tree and use a flat bladed shovel to tamp the soil down into the hole. The reason you want to flood it as you plant and squash the soil around the root ball is to use the water to eliminate any air pockets that naturally occur as you dig out the native soil. What you are trying to do is "compact" the soil around the tree, in a way. As the tree pushes its root zone out of the lighter loam it was potted the roots will die off if they hit any air pockets, 5hen the tree will die. Also getting some water bags to install around the trunk will allow someone to fill the pouch up with 5-20 gals of water the will be gently metered out around the tree, maximizing water to the root zone and minimizing surface run off. All this stuff can be bought online at stores like A.M. Leonard and it us cheap insurance to protect the investment made.
I'm sure Aaron was there today ! I LOVE AARON !! 🥰
Great job running the mini excavator Mr Dirt Perfect
Replanting trees is job security later! 😂
Just remember one thing about planting plants the fastest way to kill it is with air pockets around the roots always pack them in good and don’t plant them any deeper than the top of the root ball . It’s good to put a well around it to help hold water. Great job guys
25:20 DP & MBTS using shovels 😂😂🤣😂🤣
Aaron not knowing which tree to save, was the best laugh i had today 😂
Arron was killing me, looking back and forth trying to decide which tree to go to to save it! Always a hoot!
Morning Mike, and Aaron, From ripper to planting Trees, now I love that. There is a time and place for everything in our lifes.Bernie's place is looking so beautiful, you can tell that he truly loves it.Stay safe Guys.Wanda In Ok
I like the way Bernie think. Rain makes corn corn makes whiskey
Good morning, June 26th. Have a great day. Time 7 o'clock AM temperature today, 96.
Good morning sir another Job Well Done by our factory trained experts.
Nice looking place Bernie. Sketchy crew but you know that.
Great job drilling holes Mr Dirt Perfect
Also a 5 tine pitch fork, or potato fork works great for rough spreading the mulch, then take a leaf rake, fip it over and use it to smooh out the mulch for a nice look. Just litle tips and tricks from a guy who has been doing this stuf since 1996.
Glad I was sitting down when DP said he was planting trees, I might of fallen over 😁
Love the videos and I am sure Bernie will keep those trees growing!
Watching you and Aaron planting trees was great it was like planting your next job 25 years from now when your taking them out to put an outbuilding there or maybe different trees.mike and Aaron planting for the future.
Well you never know what type of project DP will have for us but I'll guarantee one thing, it will be exciting. Great job guys. 👍🏽🤠
Guys, don't miss this. A pennesula would make more sense than an island in that a pennensula would be easy to keep mowed and maintained.
I think his campground has all the topsoil in Indiana. 😁😁👍👍
I look forward to seeing the creation of this pond! It'd be wonderful if they could put in an aeration sprinkler with four or five dimmable lights
I should’ve come over and showed you how a landscaper plants trees. You didn’t even have B&B trees to fight with. Those bucket trees are a landscapers dream on a hot day especially, quick and easy. Always remember don’t cover the root flare on the bottom of the tree with mulch or dirt. Volcano mulching is a no no, will cause Trees will rot off quick.
I can't believe you planted trees! It's always a first for everything. It's great to see you and Aaron put a pond in again 👏 Thanks for sharing 👍
looks like the 304 needs some pin and bushing work on the bucket joint.
Nice couple of white oaks. Even a baby tree is taller than Aaron :P
Good luck planting trees guys
Good morning my friends 🌅❤😊
Perfect Landscaping!
What a site!! Both of you with a shovel in your hands at the same time 😂😂 Bring us back to Bernie’s in 20 years so we can see how you guys did. 🤗🇺🇸
I love how much fun you guys have while working. I'm self employed by me, myself and I, the other two I work with keep leaving equipment in my way.
Mike will never admit it, but he belongs to a long-established secret society group known as the "Tree Masons" 😅
Great video Mr Dirt Perfect and MBTS
Great video DP and MBTS. It was fun to watch 2 different jobs in one video. Cant wait to see the pond started.
Your gonna have to check them trees for the buck rubs in the fall.🍻
Gardening dirt perfect style. Love it.
That’s going to be an awesome camp site if the lake goes in. It already looks 100% better from what it once was. Y’all definitely do amazing work and turn not so nice things into awesome things. Hope to see you building a pond in the near future
Really liked the change in pace - a nice easy day.
I was just watching Captain Dangerous digging a pond in his limestone quarry. lol. Well that will keep him busy trying to fill it for the foreseeable future . LOL
I can cancel all my subscriptions: now I've seen everything!
Notice the interest of the dog for the first few trees! During the planting of the later ones she's spreading the good news to her boyfriends.
;-)
I do believe that you guys will build the owner a pretty nice pond for the campground 👍😎🇺🇸 NY
Trees look way different when they're going in than they do when they're coming out! 😆
I did know that you were a shovel operator, Big ED coming to you from Central City Kentucky. Have a great day.
Put some in take a lot out sounds right it’s been a minute since we seen a pond build hope it’s a go looking forward to it camp ground roads do look great 👍👋🇨🇦
I love this channel but watching you two planting those trees was like watching primates doing it 🤣
I'm sure we've all traveled for some bush😂😂😂
So, this lake job gets the 850b? cause you know Jerry will rock the lake into shape lickety split if you put the 850b there.
Its always a hoot watching you two. Bernie seemed like he was in the same form. That's good people right there.
DP you read the the instructions but all 3 of you forgot or didn't think about loosening the rootball.
Thank you for planting them dudes. I’ve killed more plantain but they were seedlings than Lived.
Grateful for 2 inches of rain here in the corner Illinois Missouri Iowa. But keep upper North in your prayers. Pretty tough
It’s going to snow now you’re planting trees and mulching 😮
Hmmm - Those trees look like easy money! I might be earmarking some space around the 'abandoned farm' to plant a few acorns in pots for a rainy day 🌳
Hmm. I got a couple white oaks coming up in my yard that Ive been mowing around. Think I might just keep them going and then transplant them.
Looks like handling a shovel is like riding a bike DP. 😉
That pond will be a great addition to that campground.
Here's a life hack, when you have spoil from an auger planting trees, make a small berm on the downhill side with sides going uphill making an eyebrow shaped terrace to catch and hold rainwater reducing the need for irrigation.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts, ideas and videos. Another interesting and entertaining video. Have to admit it was odd to see you transporting unmolested trees with the taco. Looking forward to seeing the pond build, looks like it should be a good one. Pondering gifting you a subscription to the Arbor Day association. They used to give you a few trees to plant every year. I always looked forward to planting them as a kid but I never was much of a green thumb, of all the trees I planted the only one that ever succeeded was a weed next to the chimney for the wood stove in the house. Moved it to the front yard and it’s still going strong. Wishing you and your family the best.
My dad went out in a field back in the 60's and dug up n burlap balled a buncha maple saplings no bigger than 6-7 foot tall. Replanted 40 of them in our back yard. His landscaping business he had a sale. 75 dollars a tree guaranteed to grow or free replacement lol. He died, we moved. 30 years later they were TALL and still in the rows lol
A little Freudian slip there, " they just got to be in the wrong, uh (pause ooops) right spot."
I didn’t know we were watching National Geographic! I just learned that gazelle’s grunt when they jump out of 8ft holes in the ground!
I'm looking forward to the follow-up video on this project. Maybe in about 20 years?
That is gonna look great if your able to do the project. I hate mowing around things in the yard. I haven't won all the battles with the wife. Stay safe
Thanks for sharing!
Mike, you got honorable mention on Diesel Creek a couple of days ago. Matt bought a Mack just like your dump truck(it's still got the 5th wheel plate) based on the fact that you seem to really like yours. He got a really good deal on at Richie brothers in his area of Pennsylvania.
Hey Hoover, check out that strap over the auger, it's got a nice cut in it, GET HIM!!
If you’d have squared the corners in the holes where you did the 4 square drilling you’d have been right at the forefront of tree planting science!
The newest research shows that a smooth round hole will have the roots go round and round where a square hole with sharp corners the roots will break out of the hole at the corners and make for a more secure tree.
Oh dirt perfect getting into my expertise. Nice job if I say so myself.
I’ve planted a lot of trees and bushes and shrubs and it really comes down to the soil and water. I believe your trees will make it. Could have been a little more out of the ground but think they’ll be fine. Nice job.👍 Have
Good eye getting the dirt off that auger Aaron! Customer could have lost a finger to that shovel! 👍 🇺🇲
That's a nice log house!
