You could get some custom stickers made at a local print shop and put them on round 2x2 tiles so you can connect them to the resources. That would at least keep those tiles from sliding around.

wouldnt work, you cant have lego cards, lego would have to get a license from whoever makes catan and lego cant expect people to go out and buy catan to get the cards and numbers
after seeing this I think it would be neat for me to do Eclipse if I had enough pieces, and was the owner of the game. ( a friend has it), because that's arguably my favorite board game I played. (it's essentially a board game of Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri, in inspiration at least)
we have another box of broken up seafarers expansion stuff! but I would rather redesign all of it before rebuilding. personal favorite expansion though :)
