"Like I'm trying to make the thing bigger, I just not have had a success at it." I started hearing innuendo in that first level's commentary and couldn't stop hearing it after that
Happens from time to time. If you ramble long enough, everyone is bound to hear at least one innuendo _somewhere_ , if any part of their brain thinks there's any chance that there might be one.
In the love frog level, I think you didn’t realize how much vertical control you have, but you can use both up and down to control your swim height. For example if you do an up-swim and then switch to down in midair, you can cut your height short and get like a mid-height jump. It seems like the level was designed where you were never required to do this kind of thing, but I found myself doing it on almost every jump in this level when I played it
Yeah I absolutely loved the huge range of movement you could accomplish in that level, and just how in control I was of it. One of my favorite levels in the game.
Goal tape average: 1232 / 65 = 18.954 (50 / 1 = 50 today!) 50-star goal tape hits: 1, at 10:48 Bonus game average: 33 / 12 = 2.75 (2 / 1 = 2 today) (0:37) Heh, this level is now part of All the Stop & Go Stations. :P (0:43) Welp, first demo today. (2:24) You swam straight into that ♥. (2:55) Whoops. (5:35) Heart-shaped keyhole exit get! (7:11) Slope ate your swim "jump". (7:14) Chipmunk time. (8:16) Derp! Maybe this level should've only given radish power ups in its blocks. (9:03) Oh, there's a cutoff corner in the upper-left! This hack won't be accepted at Stop & Shop! :P ...Also, I wonder if there'd be a Forest Guardian or something to find if you were to keep going to the left up there? (9:08) Yeah, that was way too early. Also, with a low ceiling, you might not want to hold up with your "jump". (9:20) Darn it, camera! (10:40) All raocoins get! (10:48) BOOYAH!!! First 50-star goal tape hit of this playthrough! (11:08) The leeks take the L. (11:42) BGM: Touhou 6: EoSD - Stage 4: Voile, the Magic Library. (11:50) Well, this is already very jittery for you. (12:15) Should've stayed under that overhang where the coins were. (12:31) Just like that. (14:30) "Tick." Graze +1. That worked somehow. (15:32) Rampage time! (15:42) 1-life combo! Could've been 2 lives if you didn't miss one of those Big Boos. (15:45) Alright, it's Big Boo Boss time! (16:13) Victory! This was a really cool level!
Love Frog Hangout Spot[ 4 | 4 | RC4 ]: This isn't hard (not 7 half-stars), unless it's your first time playing with the pressure water! It seems an explaination about pressing ⬆when jumping should be here, maybe. But yeah, cute and chill level, not really a drag one, I really like it! What the House?![ 7 ]: For once, raocow plays better than me! I struggled with the last part of the 1st sublevel, so that one-shot is impressive! This level is surpisingly sometimes unforgiving, some mistakes will get Demo into an unescapable demo with those arrows. What a very fun level! This game makes me think about "What the golf?" Tomorrow, we'll see the best custom sprite ever made in smw, hopefully!
What The House?!?

Projectiles are in the air? Wrong. Love.
Love hurts.

Thwomp Puzzle, notwithstanding.
Voile, The Magic Library is so good.

really excellent levels today. they're clearly like, jank derived from something someone saw in the editor, but who cares

I came down here to say this, there's a whole THING about SMW's vertical water movement and up or down on the D-pad.

rare 50
BIIIIIIIG FIFTY
I love how they made the jank part of the gimmick.
You know i keep seeing burried floor question boxes and i'm still wondering if you're meant to spin jump on those like 6 golden coins or something
They're just frankensteined graphics to give places a little more flair.
@@EvilMariobotIIRC the buried question blocks are actually vanilla, just unused (could be misremembering)
@@StripeyShima Either way, spin-jumping on them doesn't work in SMW like in SML2.
Looking forward to a hypothetical rao/nao collab

Anyone remember which video from ASMT the frog level is a reference to? Feeling nostalgic...
The music is from "On Cloud Nine" In World 3.
