      @@andreaofori3968 same issue I have. You may need to charge it for a bit to get it to turn on.
      Start at the simple fix and work yourself up to replace parts or blood curse on manufacturers. Much cheaper to fix yourself and not hard. (Even if you do break some crap still comes out cheaper.) lol

    Just tried this- so far so good! I used the edge of a silicone baking sheet because I wanted to make sure the plastic does not melt. Thank you so much - I really could not afford to buy a new phone right now.

    I couldn't get my phone to charge for nothing. It would charge 2% turn on, which took all it's 2% & turn off. Pretty soon I couldn't charge it no matter what. It was driving me crazy because I needed to get some pics & contacts that were saved on the device but not my sim card. I had my doubts about tearing it apart..& I have to say my back was not as unscathed as yours😅but I soldiered on, followed your instructions & by God it worked!! My phone is charging & even if it's only long enough to get my stuff transfered, I'm thankful for your video!!

    I've had mine a year and it has been great to me. However the charging port and headphone jacks are going to crap. They work, but the slightest bump and they fall out. Very strange as I never really had a phone do this before. The cords go out, not the ports lol.

    Putting fabric in it reminds me of the electrician on sealab 2021.
    “Put a penny in it”
    “A penny will start a fire”
    *fire starts*
    Holy crap I think it worked. Took a plastic store bag, cut a strip, then rolled it around my mini Phillips flattened trimmed to size and placed it. At the very least it makes the charger work without holding it at an odd angle. Hopefully it starts taking a charge and I’ll add a like from not my dads account.

    Well maybe this might have worked IF tye charger port wasn't catching cords on 🔥 FIRE!!!! 🔥 please be careful with your LG stylo 4, definitely charge on a fire proof suffice and keep a eye on the charger port since my daughters caught on fire.
    NO I'm not kidding. Thankfully it did it whole she was awake and she was able to snatch the cord from the wall before it got worse.

      @@Crypto_MarkX It's the charger port part that caused the fire. Where the cord and port connect :( of course when we called to talk to someone they said the port may have had debris inside ( a dirty charger port ) which caused ot to malfunction and catch fire. I really feel that like with most other device's such as wireless speakers, there should be a small rubber plug that covers the port while not in use to keep dirt and debris such as pocket lent, out. I notice even on the most expensive phones they do not have the simple little feature yet on the cheapest wireless speakers there is a little rubber flap to cover the port. 🤔 we can't prove there was nothing there but we are positive the port was free of any kind of litter .

    This could've been edited to eliminate some unnecessary info and steps (like removing the screws; you said to do it, I paused the video to do it but you opted not to without saying so first) but, upon closing it back up, it started charging IMMEDIATELY. I reinserted it a few times and it stated consistently. I used a box cutter and a small square of electrical tape, folded once. Thanks!

    • @Crypto_MarkX

      Your right I should've edited some parts out, and also I should have said something about not having to remove the screws.

    Says not to use a heat gun. Uses a knife instead. Personally I think that's stupid. No offense. But the heat gun is the correct way. On top of that you can buy a tiny screw driver at Wal-Mart for $1.00. And avoid the risk of stripping those screws, and a brand new charging port from Amazon for $10.00... These phone are notorious for the charging ports to have some kid of issue or another along with the battery taking a complete shit. Battery is $10.00 on Amazon as well.

    • @Crypto_MarkX
      @Crypto_MarkX  4 года назад +2

      I do recommend using a heat gun on higher end phones with glass backs but If you can just use a knife alone, why go to the extra steps of using a heat gun ? also the stylo 4 has no ip rating so the seal isn't as tight as lets say a galaxy s10 or any other flagship. and I agree with you 100% on the fact that these phones are garbage when it comes to charging ports.
