Totally agree. Some might not like the extra weight, but to be honest, once I start buffing, I don't pay attention. I lock the speed setting using the speed lock button and then move one of my hands to the very back of the polisher and hold the polisher by the battery. This acts to support the weight of the battery but more important, gives you the most leverage for controlling the tool. Thanks for watching and commenting Kirby. -Mike Phillips
In my experience, FLEX tools are the best on the market. No other polishers that I know of, be it an orbital or a rotary, has the 7-Function Microprocessor that comes from the factory in all FLEX polishers. Agree, but the most important part of the FLEX BEAST line of tools is in the inside and the Harbor Freight Hercules Forced Rotation Orbital polisher doesn’t offer this at the lower price point. The FLEX 7-function Microprocessor includes, 1: Provides constant speed control via the tachometer generator. 2: Provides a soft, gradual start of the rotation of the electric motor that powers the drive mechanism. 3: Controls the accelerator trigger switch. 4: Provides restart protection after a power interruption. 5: Provides overload protection. 6: Monitors the temperature of the coil windings and turns the polisher off before damage can occur. 7: Controls speed set by the variable speed dial. One of the most important functions is the heat sensor, which monitors tool temperature. If the tool becomes too hot, the 7-function microprocessor will turn the tool off so no damage can occur. Another key benefit to the 7-function microprocessor is the power interruption function. If power goes off to the tool, when power is restored, the tool will NOT turn back on until you release the speed trigger lock. This prevents the tool from turning on and possibly causing damage to a vehicle or a person. Besides the above, the FLEX PE-150 comes with precision machined stainless steel gears instead of steel stamped gears. The tool is much quieter and smoother. The battery technology used in FLEX tools comes from EGO. 1: Longest battery run-time. 2: Shortest battery recharge time. 3: Longest cycle life - how many times the battery can be recharged. I've been using the PROTYPE FLEX sent me in 2017 - as I type in the year 2024 that's 7 years without a single hiccup. Do your own research but like the saying goes, Buy once, cry once Thanks for watching and commenting. -Mike Phillips
With rotary, at least for removing defects, I rarely do section passes but instead, look at the paint I'm buffing and when I see the defects removed, I move onto new territory. I'll try to make a video showing this in the future. Thanks for watching and commenting. -Mike Phillips
Out of the 3 new 24 Volt FLEX polishers, only one is a free spinning random orbital polisher and this would the 15mm Finisher. And just like ANY OTHER BRAND of free spinning random orbital polishers, this type of tool design will always have pad stalling. This is why I rarely use free spinning random orbital polishers unless finishing out on soft paint or clear plastics. Thanks for watching and commenting. -Mike Phillips
At the big SEMA show just a few weeks ago as I type today on Monday, November 18th, I was told that Chervon, the owner of FLEX, SKILL and EGO, will be moving production of FLEX tools to China. Me? I blame NAFTA as the root cause for jobs leaving anywhere and going to China.
I can understand the 10amp having a higher peak output, but if it has longer runtime then either the ratings are wrong (and therefore dishonest) or whoever told you that is not very smart. I bet on option A.
Just to clarify, WHICH other battery are you comparing the 10 Amp battery to for peak output or longer runtime? The 10 Amp is *Stacked Lithium* and the 12 Amp is Cylindrical Lithium, so there's a huge design difference in not only these two batteries but ANY brand of cylindrical versus stacked lithium battery design. Thanks for watching and commenting. -Mike Phillips
I’m getting sick of these tool companies offering these cheesy ass tool bags, C’mon and give us real storage boxes that keeps everything organized and in their place. You cheap bastards! 😁😁😁
The fix is simple, instead of hoping for a free tool bag with the tool, go to any hardware store and purchase a hard case. Problem solved. Thanks for watching and voicing your opinion. -Mike Phillips
@ Not hoping for free cheesy tool bag, bags are garbage. I’m just saying a tool case built for the tool and its accessories too much to ask? Tool companies are getting cheap!
@@tundrawhisperer4821 - I hear you but what a lot of people don't know is there's not a lot of profit in tools, any tool, circular saw, etc. I personally don't like hard cases for my tools but then I don't try to travel with them. Instead, I have tool racks to hold all my tools. So, I rarely use the free storage bag anyways. I'll tell you one thing, I worked in the FLEX booth at SEMA all last week and one of the things FLEX was giving away was a free FLEX storage bag, like you see in this video. And EVERYONE WANTED THIS BAG. I've invited my friends at FLEX to watch this video and read the comments, so maybe they'll take your comments into consideration. -Mike Phillips

That 10-amp battery with the stacked cells is the 'BEAST' of the battery options!

Thank you maestro, please tell us how to pass sections on rotary, like DA 8 passes or another way? Thank you very much

@mikephillipsrealworlddetailing it will be great video, thank you maestro
Any follow up videos for the gear driven/long throw?
Videos for both go live today!
So the million dollar question is do they stall less than the previous flex tools, especially the DA? Do you see more power getting to the pad?
