I have a 2020 Low Rider S and this video convinced me to go with Lucky Dave's 13 bar. I've had my LRS for 6 months and THIS video changed my mind of my next Harley being a Street Glide to the Road King Special. 👍👍 Subscribed.
@@kidmoto22 Being only 5'9" I've been struggling with bars/risers or T-bars since I started riding again this summer. I've had alot of bros telling me these bars are the way to go and don't go short lol.
@@RB-tx4mn It’s the truth! I could have gone a little taller but I’m happy with my setup. I’m tall too but I also didn’t want the bars way up in the air.
You might be right I just measured from grip end to grip and and that’s what I stated in the video. Could be different depending on grip style...I have no idea about that!
It's something I reaaaaaaally need to do on the Magna at some point. They look great on there I think man :) And glad to hear they made a difference comfort wise. It's always a risk really with any part like that! Man they need to sort out a weather generator for you so you don't get limited by a riding season :) But yes very glad you're happy with em :)
I found that same thing to be the case with the stock bars. Bars and seats are things I’ve found to be completely rider preference and what works for one person may not work for another person!
Everything you said about stock roadking bars are exactly what I experienced, especially the wrist angle. Had to change them. I put pullover bars similar to Saddletramp’s bars on his hard tail. Guess I’m old school cause I prefer my cables and wires showing. The slick look doesn’t work for me.
Great video’s very informative yet detailed in your communications on all aspects of what you articulate. One question, what would you think if 16’ Apes are put on there, would the cabling be sufficient or old 14” be more realistic?
The Lucky Dave’s 13” t-bars I’ve installed are about the max and I wouldn’t go further than that without changing out the electrical or the brake and clutch line. Now if the bike came stock with taller bars I would be in favor of that for sure except I wouldn’t want them too wide. I feel that you loose some control when the bars get out too wide and that was one of the things I didn’t like about them.
They are the normal lucky 13” the heavy hitters don’t have the pull back if I remember. You might not get to 15” with the normal heavy hitters with stick cables.
They are from Memphis Shades I’ve had a couple of pair and I really like them. I’ve had them paint matched for my bike also and that works and looks good as well.
I’m not really sure of the rake of the StreetBob as that effects the position. However I’m 6’3” and I find these bars quite comfortable. Also consider your arm length vs your inseam. I’ve got long arms and legs but an average torso so it works for me. If you plan on getting a new seat you might want to consider that first as some seats move you closer to the bars.
Very nice and I know the small issues will get sorted out. Yes, the stock bars are terrible and put your hand in a awkward position so I changed mine to 14" kst and it's much better. I would have liked a walk around though so I could see how they fit on your bike. Maybe next time. 😋
Ohhhh dude I wish. The install became quite a process. It’s really a straight forward install but I had some technical difficulties with the camera and some wiring issues I’m trying to get sorted out. It’s a pretty long story but it’s not because of the install some fluke issues I’m getting sorted.
It's all about the comfort to me when riding a bike brother, and the bars look great on your bike to, you'll get the bugs fixed and then you will happy and comfortable, ride safe and ride easy kidmoto22 💯✌️😎
I’m 6”3. I also replaced my seat from the stock seat to the H-D Tall Boy seat that moved be back about an inch. Between the seat change and the bar change it feels like the right position. I’ve done an 800+ mile trip over four days since the change and it worked well for me. Another consideration is if you have longer legs or torso. Bars and seats are very personable changes.
I’m not judging deff doing a good job making vids....but you talked about the bike being “flickable” right after pile driving through a pot hole had me laughing pretty good

I hear you on changing the bars. When I changed them on my bike, it was like a new bike. The Dyna King is looking good! Stay safe my friend!
DYNA King....now that’s pretty funny....I believe the term your looking for is Performance Bagger..🤣🤣

Hi, do you have any ref for the piece at the bottom of risers with the direction lock ? Thanks from France
That’s a stock HD piece. It can be found on the website if you look at the parts available for a 2017 Road King Special
What size windshield is that you have?? I have the same bars on my dyna street Bob and adding a fairing
I have the 17” shield.
Looks super comfortable and great on the bike! 👏🏼👏🏼
whit meza Thanks...the difference is amazing no doubt.
do you ever testet the ventilated windshield with the Lucky 13 bars ? does it Fit ?
I’ve only used the bars with the road warrior faring.
I found the tbars to be uncomfortable after 2 hours on the bike. Mostly in my wrists.

Harley Dave I’ll get one of those out...and your right I should have included it in this video!!!
Did these bars work with your stock cables?
Yes and I believe you can get up to 15” with the stock cables. It’s because the bars are so much more narrow than the stock bars
What cover did you use that the risers come through?
It’s an H-D part 55800290. It’s designed for bars that come straight off the triple tree and don’t use the stock bar clamp.
