  • The world of Architectural Visualization is fast changing and the demand for photorealistic rendering has become the standard for many in the industry.
    VRAY(Corona Inclusive) and D5 RENDER, in my opinion are about the 2 top contenders for photorealism and broad appeal in the Arch viz industry.
    I try to give a comparative analysis, based on my (biased and opiniated,...(smiles..)) view... Enjoy the video....

    I was a vray user...
    But now I'm a D5 render user ..it is the best for architectural designers.

    Pretty good comparison, and thanks for posting. A couple things though... You really should have compared Vray's GPU render to D5, rather than Vrays CPU renderer... which is no contest in terms of speed. Something missing from your comparison is 'Integration' to host 3d application.
    Cheers 👍

    Thank you for the comparison, thumbs up. As a total beginner, D5 seem so much easier to learn for newbies like myself.

    D5 Super user here. I completely agree with the last point. If you desire Soft Life, I strongly recommend D5 Render.
    For a long time, I've had a preference for real-time rendering engines over the likes of VRay. Having worked with tools like Enscape, Twinmotion and Lumion since version 3 till the lastet version, I can say that D5 Render is almost all that I ever desired in a real-time rendering engine.
    One can almost assert that the development team at Dimension 5 created this software to _address the painpoints that every real-time rendering engine user experiences, especially Lumion users. They are the only developers that actually listen to their users and work on providing what they need.
    With their very active and responsive community admins and the rate at which they roll out updates, D5 render will in no time become the most preferred software for ArchViz.
    Great video, by the way! I like the brief intro 😊 👍👍

    Vray has GPU and CPU bsed rendering. Also the ability to set the project to either of the two depending on the system specifications is nice. But truly D5 is a really good architectural rendering software. Very educative content✨✨. thanks

    Chaos Vantage (realtime Vray), the best choice for archviz.

    • @architectsden

      I think Chaos Vantage should be viewed as a plugin and its different from vray gpu that's within vray by default.

    Agree, vray era in archviz is over. For me is now more like Enscape or D5.

    Vray needed to be a standalone renderer

  • @ikenna_daniel9394
    @ikenna_daniel9394 Год назад +1

    You did not add system requirement. Most laptops with decent CPUs can still manage to run Vray unlike D5

    • @architectsden
      @architectsden  Год назад +1

      True, I missed that. D5 requires a minimum of 6gb dedicated graphics card, that can only be seen in high end gaming systems

    Vray has GPU rendering option.

      Yes, it does, but it is primarily a CPU based rendering engine.
