    Neat video. Beautiful scenery and beautiful fish. Wasn't expecting to hear any Polish either. That's always a nice surprise for me.

    Since Taimen are a salmonid, could we introduce them to our waters on the pacific coast?

    • @TheFishingNomad
      @TheFishingNomad Год назад

      Sure, but why would you want to introduce an invasive species to compete with the native salmonids?

    Fingers in the gills! Is that normal practice with Taimen?

    • @s.jastrzebski8594
      @s.jastrzebski8594  5 лет назад +1

      If you do it skillfully and gently, there will be no problem. All the fish returned to the river unharmed.

      Henry, I was there with S.Jastrzebski, that grip, if done correctly, does not allow you to put fingers in fish gills. If for some reasons you want to hold a fish while standing, its firmer and much safer because fish wont fell from your hands on the ground.

    • @MrBonafide1

      No reason to put your fingers in the gills. I fish for large salmon and we never have to put our fingers in the gills, nor do we have to lift them over the ground. Lift them over the water and they will be fine. Everybody knows that you have to be careful with such a precious fish as the Taimen, it's not an endless supply...
