Ielts 唔係三成考英文，七成考技巧，特別係writing 同listening. 所以淨係不停值卷只會令到listening, reading 高分，但writing listening 只會留係文6, 6.5 , 一定要搵老師幫手改卷
第一次見份卷有呢個成績巳經好利害。
很久以前，市面無這些英文試的補習班，又無雞精書。我第一次考TOFEL ，見到份卷先知考什麼，當然成績慘淡😢
之後，再報，再考， 睇吓自己在哪方面較弱，進行惡補💪🏻。第二次考的成績仍然唔理想🥹
努力過後，再去考第三次，最後終於達標過關🥰
好認同Gladys講哥幾句，我哋作為學生只會希望攞到份簡單嘅卷、考高分😅考過一次IELTS，分數麻麻地。我覺得語言考試呢樣野通常都係為咗滿足工作、申請⋯⋯所以就算無想像中考得咁好，都唔好太灰心，因為分數唔直接反映你對呢個語言嘅了解同掌握😊

Thank you for making this video!! IELTS is even moreeee difficult in real examination. I had been practicing for IELTS months and keep rating 7 at readings and 7.5 at listening, but I only scored 6.5 on both finally. Not to mention how tense is their exam, during my speaking test my examiners kept interrupting me and not allowing me to think before speak, if I do so she’ll throw another question for me, hardly to understand why the exam has to be in such a rush. Now I’m planning on retaking the IELTS and hopefully get a band 7. Thanks again for the sharing!!

I am a HKger but I hate exams 😣😣😣 btw 開心見到英文字幕放係中文上面，咁就易啲集中睇英文字幕喇❤😊
有陣時根本唔輪到我哋揀，我喺澳洲讀書，佢淨係接受IELTS，仲要係全部都要攞7以上，唔係overall 7，我reading同埋Listening 8.5 ，其他都係6.5 ，前前後後考咗十幾次先至全部7😭其實對我嚟講兩個考試一樣，如果要求低啱啱合格嘅話係好簡單，但係你aim得越高分，就越難，對所有考試一樣，知識只係最基本，考試技巧先至係最重要，如果你要攞高啲分，淨係英文叻叻根本冇用😥😥
原來去澳洲讀書嘅要求咁高😬
其實你英文都好好啊，兩個8.5同兩個6.5，總分係7.5喎，已經比好多香港學生(例如我）好啦

I only took the TOEFL test twice and think that would not be too hard. The reading section is relatively easy if practice regularly. While I think the real difficult part is speaking as we need to answer questions about many topics each within one minute. But the score would be improved if your English is improved.

I have taken both the TOEFL and IELTS exams, and the TOEFL was definitely more challenging. If it weren't for my high school English teacher writing a recommendation letter to the university, I might not have been able to enter a good university at that time.
Great sharing, and yes it just goes to show it’s not always about exam performance. Day to day approach can be just as important if not more so! 💪☺️

I guess the most difficult part in IELTS is the speaking and writing test - the output part of the system.
The people in Hong Kong, trained for learning by rote due to the backward mindsets of the teachers, tend not to write their essays with their own originality, but sort of reciting those phrases they have come across throughout the years without regarding the context.
I think a lot of people will struggle with the confidence and pronunciation side of the spoken tests of any English or language exam.
Rote learning has a place in terms of repetition for revision but individual creativity is also very important yes! 🤙🏻

可以講下兩個exam 的format, eg: IELTS 有oral
Both exams are not just designed for testing our English skills, but also our exam-taking skills. I prefer IELTS more because most test questions range from easy to complicated. Moreover, by practising my exam skills, I started to pay more attention to the logic and details of how native speakers use English.
Personally, TOEFL is way more difficult than IELTS on Reading and Listening part; while it is harder for candidate to get a good score on writing and speaking for IELTS

I studied writing in America and graduated with 3.89 GPA, but that TOEFL exam, still…it is all about logical thinking and whether you are paying attention to the questions or not… I don’t even know it is an English exam…

我每一次考IELTS reading成日會比T/F/NG confused. Iist of heading 係第二難既題型，好多時我都唔知成段野既main point 係咩，全部都靠估估下，考左咁多次reading一直係6分.

Is it easier if I just do both exams if I’m not too sure about what universities I’m going?
It really depends on your individual choice. Both of the exams cost a similar amount to sit (Approx $2000 HKD depending on which country and type of test) so that’s something to consider.
There’s certainly no harm in adding both exams to your credentials if that’s what you feel gives you the choice you want to have 👍😊
聽講會話和聆聽考試比筆試更加困難，尤其是要聽得懂各種不同的口音。
東亞學生一般聆聽和閱讀比會話、寫作要高分，因為前者可以靠操卷，後者基本靠自身英文能力

I took TOFEL for the admission of college in the US, but I dun remember how many score I got.
Yeah I think most people wanting to study in the US have to follow a similar path. Your score did the job of getting you there 😁
Not sure which IELTS you were taking. I done both general and academic paper, the IELTS academic is much more difficult. However, my result was better than general test as well. Probably because I went through the test format on general before hence I managed to grasp how to answer the academic paper more confidently.
Yes revision and preparation for exams is vital! We were both clearly out of practice 🤭😄
I am ten and I did this in Hong Kong. It's not that hard (is Toefl BTW)
For IELTS, did you guys manage to do the two essays of 150 & 250 words each?
And can you finish both essays within an hour?
We didn’t do the writing paper this time, we focused on the reading, so it would be great to hear people’s experiences of Speaking, Listening and Writing too! 😄
@@andyseah7 Yep！ Normally, we spend 20 minutes on the first one and the remaining on the second one, including time of planning.
最近考TOEFl Home Edition, 佢話懷疑我有人幫，所以就取消我個分，錢又冇得收番，分又冇。我全份卷係自己溫自己做的。打去想問解釋，佢地就話佢地懷疑就會咁做，叫我比錢再考，得唔到合理解釋，所有回覆一式一樣🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲

兩個test點都易過DSE,我玩過IELTS acdemic,寫作偏難,閱讀少少偏b2,但少long question ,幾星期短自學有6.5,唔肯定Tofel有冇paper test
funny video.. by the way , my son got full marks except writing in IELTS when he was 16 years old , total marks is 8,5 out of 9. he had been studied in UK since 13 years old. ... hehe..

裸考Toefl有110但係裸考IELTS得7.5 :(
老公最近係咪成日嬲😂
Some interesting results from me:
Back then when I did DSE, I got full marks from markers in English Writing (both section A and B). I attempted IELTS 4 times throughout these years, and I got 7.5 in writing (IELTS).
As for speaking, I got 5** in DSE, and also got 7.5 in IELTS (I even got 6.5 once which I found unbelievable as I used to be an English Debater).
However, I didn’t get 5** for my reading and listening in DSE but I got 8.5 for both in IELTS.
Overall, I don’t find either of these tests really reflect our actual ability accurately.🤣 (never attempted TOFEL tho)
But I do find that my own performances in IELTS listening and writing are more stable throughout my attempts
