  • Inside Out 2 just came out and has been getting rave reviews! Not only for being a good movie that does what any good sequel should do by building on the original, but also for its' depiction of Anxiety.
    So I thought now was a good time to take a look at the episode 'Glass Half Libby" from The Ghost and Molly McGee's cancelled third season!

    I’m still quite upset about the fact we never got a season 3 but seeing this different portrayal shows that anxiety is presented in different ways that isnt just a person pushing themselves too hard. Seeing and hearing your sister’s experience helped open my eyes a bit! Great vid!

    I'll say it once and I'll say it again Disney canceling the show is the biggest mistake they've done since canceling The Owl House. The world needs a show like The Ghost and Molly McGee that's able to tackle issues like this in a way that's both informative and entertaining.

    Out of all the episodes of Season 3 of The Ghost and Molly McGee. Glass half Libby is the one I was severely disappointed that it never got made. Not even Chairman Ollie impressed me more than this episode mostly because of
    A. It's a Molly and Libby episode which I am a fan of and
    B. it tackles Anxiety just like Talent Show from Season 1 did. And as someone who deals with Anxiety from time to time, this episode as well as Libby, I relate to a lot.
    It makes me wish Season 3 actually happened but Saldy that's not the case.
    I thought this video would tackle other episodes about anxiety like Talent Show did. And while I love this video from beginning to end, I want to talk about another episode about anxiety and its from a show that some might not expect.
    Driving Ambition from The Loud House. In this episode Lori tries to impress a golf coach from the golf college (yes a golf college it's kinda hard to explain) that she wants to go to. However she stars worrying. So much so, that she starts to do bad at golf. Lincoln and the rest of the Loud sisters, try to give Lori some advice on how to relax and while they work at first, she starts worrying again when she actually plays golf. I won't spoil the rest of this episode cause it's worth checking out. I know not everyone is a fna of The Loud House but I would defend that the show has some great episodes and IMO Driving Ambition is definently one of them.

    When I saw Inside Out 2, I felt so seen as someone who has been struggling with Anxiety lately, like, dude, I cried, and I even had a fucking Anxiety attack while Riley was having hers, like I was shaking, trying hard to catch my breath, my heart rate was elevated, and Alex, my best friend noticed that I was having an anxiety attack so he had to hold my hand and did the thumb rub to help comfort me😢😢😢

    Coincidentally, I had a panic attack last month while trying to start a new job (which I ended up leaving because the people in charge kept demanding so much from me) and I'm still trying to get over it. I was forced to start a part time job and my anxiety struck again having to deal with so many customers and trying to please so many people. Even though it isn't as bad as last time, it's still a struggle for me dealing with customers and coworkers alike.

    I have had many anxiety attacks in my life and I could still have one at any moment. So seeing Inside Out 2 portray Anxiety so maturely and realistically impressed me and moved me to tears. Half Glass Libby is one of those Season 3 concepts that I feel HAS to be told in one way or another and you guys told the story fantastically!

    Damn, time to go back into my "Peeved that my favourite show didn't get a season 3" phase.
    As someone with heavy anxiety, it would be very nice to see. One of the many reasons why Inside out 2 hit me so hard (best film since Last Wish and Spiderverse)

    It's painful going though TGAMM S3 Scrips but in the same time very very enjoyable going though them together.
    As someone with Chronic Anxiety a lot of fans including myself would've very appreciate this episode like a lot of us fans did for 100% Molly Mcgee. And Btw Yes, we would love to go through more S3 Scrips in the future if possible.
    But anyway TGAMM is such a Beautiful Show that Disney could ever have and wish for! ❤️❤️

    I’m gonna miss this show 😔 I’m actually thinking about doing a fanfic pitch for how I think a new season 3, or even a sequel series, would be like with an older Molly and a Scratch who’s back to being a ghost after Todd passes away, this show needs more attention!

    I feel like Anxiety in "Inside Out 2" is a bit of a redundant character because of the scene in the first film where Joy asks Fear to come up with all the worst possible outcomes at the first day of school which is sort of the same thing that Anxiety did.

    Man I wish we got this episode
    Speaking of TGAMM, I just re-animated a scene from the first episode. It’s a whole 12 seconds and took two whole weeks to do but my god I’m so proud of it. It’s up on my channel as a video now if you want to see it! I included the process too :D

    Its true... Its not easy, the reason i have anxiety is actually because of my dad he always criticized me always said i did everything wrong.. he's no father to me i still feel sometimes like im worthless and i still worry if ive done anything wrong even just speaking to someone im replaying in my head "did i say something wrong? Does this person hate me?" its not as big as before but its still there. Its true music does help alot like that one song the remedy or that other song the middle. Honestly me seeing libby like that i just wanted to hug her everytime. My advice tho music lots of music as she mentioned especially postive ones take care fellow anxiety people👍✨

    Scratch’s subplot is so stupid (He mistook a podcast as a telepathic transmission?!) yet so dark!
    I find it hilarious how casually they invoked the possibility of cannibalism and serial killings! All the death jokes in this show are hilariously tasteless! Especially considering it’s supposedly a family friendly TV-Y7 show!

    I still wish that Disney greenlit the Ghost and Molly Mcgee for Season 3. Disney has a problem with cancelling their shows too soon, such as the aforementioned Ghost and Molly McGee, Hailey's on It, and The Owl House. Anyway, it would have been interesting to see Libby deal with an anxiety attack.

    I wish this show was indie instead of made by Disney. The reason why Murder Drones and The Amazing Digital Circus are sucessful, is because they have creative freedom that corporate networks don't.

    • @SunnylandProds
      @SunnylandProds  3 месяца назад +3

      Yeah, but the tradeoff is that going indie means less resources.

    • @basilcat3111

      @@SunnylandProds Yeah, i agree with you. TADC and Murder Drones episodes take long to release. But when they eventually release, its worth the wait.

    • @Commenter839
      @Commenter839 3 месяца назад

      The problem is, it's extremely difficult to produce an indie show, and even harder to develop a fanbase that'll be able to keep it funded. For every Hazbin Hotel, Lackadaisy, or Murder Drones, there's probably 10 other pilots you've never heard of that couldn't get off the ground, simply because the money and the fanbase just isn't there. And being unable to develop a fanbase doesn't mean your show is bad. There's just a lot of luck that goes into producing a successful indie project.
      That's why creators still pitch their ideas to networks even now- if you don't already have a massive fanbase, then a multibillion dollar company is their best shot at having their ideas well-funded and viewed by millions of people. But unfortunately it comes with the tradeoff that you have very little say if the company wants to change things up or cancel the show entirely.

    When it comes to eps like this s3 one as well as certain s2 eps like the periods one and 100% Molly McGee, what stops them from just feeling like "very special episodes"? By that I mean, these eps existing only for the moral/to raise awareness about something. And tbf, that's a very important thing to do, I just wonder what TGAMM's target audience of kids thinks of these - are they interesting or boring for them? What's the difference between an ep that happens to be about a lesson and a Captain Planet PSA-esque ep.

    • @SunnylandProds
      @SunnylandProds  3 месяца назад +3

      Well, I think the main difference between something like this or Carbon Zero Heroes and a Captain Planet PSA or some other after-school special is that the characters here are so strong, and the writing is so good. The show never screeches to a halt and forgets to be funny because they have to impart a lesson. Because these were never network mandated; this always came from the writers.

    While we’re talking about TGAMM Season 3, There were plenty of episodes that would’ve been cool to say had they not been scrapped. One episode called She Loves Me, She Loves Me Bot sees Andrea attempting to confess her love for Alina Webster while at a battle robot competition. Another episode called Saving Purim sees Libby going up against an antisemitic city officer named Herman for trying to cancel Purim. Also Geoff would’ve been revealed to be Jewish himself.
