From what we’ve seen so far it promising, can’t wait to see the official reveal.
Gonna be real, I can't fathom how someone can pick apart Earthrise Prime over extremely minor stuff like "the legs are slightly too long" and "he can't two-hand his gun very well" and then see one picture of this upcoming Prime with a giant messy backpack and complete box of a chest and say it's the GREATEST TRANSFORMER TO EVER EXIST IN ALL OF HISTORY. Like, maybe he'll be good, time will tell, but the overhyping is wild imo.
Ruckus does look pretty good, looking forward to getting him. Bludgeon, eh, no particular attachment to his comic incarnation so whatever. He might be a big deal in comics, but not everyone reads the comics, myself included, and he hasn't really done much outside the comic universe other than show up in a couple Cyberverse episodes.
One is its own thing and the other is to be accurate to the cartoon so the Earthrise will never be accurate at all. It’s more like G1 inspired

Never liked the Tarn mold, but for me it worked well enough for Bludgeon with the slender warrior esque profile. Surprisingly really like the retooling with the head, and alternate chest, and the colors this time around really pop. Hoping the sword is included. Ruckus essentially another Beachcomber is about what we expected considering the G1 toy. Will definitely be preordering as it's a fun novelty pack to build up the ranks. Optimus looks like a day 1 preorder for me as no iteration in the mainline even comes close to this level of accuracy. Definitely one to pose and display whereas I have Earthrise preordered as he looks more fun to mess around with and probably simpler to transform.

Man, I really hope they make a Generations Selects trailer to go with this, with the interior and undercarriage properly fitted out instead of being a minimalist box that's 2/3 as long and tall at it should be the way the reused-to-death WFCE trailer is. Give it its own Deluxe or Voyager budget, include a Roller that can tow it as well ad has a basic transormation to appease the corporate suits who don't understand why anyone would want a Transformers toy with no robot included, sit there laughing while raking in the cash from all us nostalgia suckers who will absolutely buy Optimus over and over as long as there's something we can point to as an improvement or innovation.
And a lot of use will do it all over again for Nemesis black, Shattered Glass purple, and Ghost Busters white as well.

Love that the Tarn Mold is still being used. Quick question, would anyone want to see the Tarn Mold retooled into a G1 inspired megatron? Starting to think if you beefed it up you totally could and get a better tank mode out of it. Maybe it’s just me.
Like I said on the superroboted video it looks to much like a masterpiece for a voyager sized figure but i have my hopes up

This is definitely THE BEST mainline optimus we ever got, but I gotta say, according to these pics, it's looking like he is not even sporting side hip flaps, which I find pretty disappointing myself and I'm just hoping that he doesn't have front hip skirts, cuz those things will just limit his leg articulation. I am hoping they engineered some folding hip skirts like we saw with kingdom rodimus, but I guess we will see once we get some official reveals sometime
No thanks if this is ss86 Prime. MP44 had way too many fake parts. Earthrise Prime was almost perfect, just needing a more proportional torso, painted face, matrix cover, and a way not to swivel the legs around for transformation.
Agreed, I definitely prefer Earth rise Optimus. SS86 looks really beefy, and his head shape is a little odd. Plus the back pack is very chunky.
I love ruckus, but tbh…kinda wish they made a new mold of bludgeon and make it the version that’s not based on the pretender shell
Until this comes out the the best voyager CHUG OP is the MP10V, which is a shrinked size KO version of the MPP10, NOT the MP10, the MPP10 with correct proportions and shin.
I'm surprised they didn't just retool ER Prime but it they do put this Optimus out, they better absolutely make a Nemesis Prime, i also feel like this'll be a little extra for a Voyager in terms of transformwtion y'know?
Optimus always had a bit of a backpack in the G1 cartoon. For Seasons 1 and 2, the movie, and Season 3 it was a red backpack. Then it switched to white for some reason during The Rebirth 3-part series finale. But he always had one.
But it was NEVER this big. People aren't complaining that he has a backpack, they are complaining about the size of the backpack.
People still defending the massive backpack since MP44 was released while in the cartoon it's way flatter or compact.

I think this will be the best iteration of Optimus Prime. The last one just wasn't comparable to Commander Rodimus Prime. The challenge is when they remake Megatron.. (Do they make a gun or keep it a tank)

I'm very concerned that Hasbro will just re-use Seige Megs, I personally hate the tank treads on him, they make him mega chunky (no pun intended). If they do re-use Seige Megs I'll pass on him and save up for the Yolopark AMK figure instead.

I'm tired of G1 Optimus Prime. We have so many figures. Yeah, I brought a few of them: Siege, Earthrise, and ROTB Studio Series 102. So I'm part of the problem, but this is ridiculous.
