When I first watched this I thought Hozin won. Watching a second time, I really appreicate the angles and lines slim boogie was working with for the breakdown of the 2nd song. I think he should've won the 2nd round as well.
chris sorry but I disagree with that kind of “Dj thinking”that exists these days. I think it’s much better to leave the hole beat play and enjoy its different parts also that way you let the dancers be creative in various ways.. repeating the same part of music cuts the vibe and the musical story of the music composer,or if it was a hip hop song repeating the same part and same lyrics , it’s just not right.

At the very least the DJ shouldnt be having these dull moments of a song get into a battle. if he has to skip a little bit. you cant have a whole dance bit with a interlude type beat. thats asking for an L for the dancer

Slim won both rounds IMO, the DJ not running the song back was some BS for real (i think Slim even mentioned it to Hozin after the last round was over). At most this should have been a draw that dictated a bonus round. Some of these battles just have trash logistics.

A lot of dancers from Asia don’t understand the culture of a cypher, which is people talking and communicating with each other not just “my technique is better than yours”, purely because it was created in america.
