I had an older comment on here long before I became and ASMR creator. But this video was lost in the archives of my favorites until today. Six years later you have paved the way for so many of us. I am and will forever be in debt to originals like you, who perfected the craft. I hope you’re doing well.
It's so weird that Dmitry is the only male Asmrist i listen to FoR years while Karuna is the only one i can count on for Hydrotherapy ASMR and breathing steps to fall asleep, both great
My first experience with ASMR was at my babysitter's house. I may have been 5 or 6 years old. A couple of friends and I were playing Doctor with a little toy doctor kit, and I remember asking if I could just always be the patient, because having my temperature taken and my heart listened to was just so relaxing and tingly.
Loved the little shout-outs to Maria, Heather, and Ilse! Watching the ASMR community help out one another instead on competing all the time is one of the reasons I love YT ASMR!
dear doctor dimitri, i like the way you present ur videos, the way u dress, doctor clothes and the glasses on, it makes it look very professional, i feel like if i was really seeing a doctor, love it
I always experienced asmr when going to the doctor as a little kid, or when we played "Doctor" or did these massage circle games in Kindergarden. As a kid I also really loved these "going to the doctor" learning books because they triggered my asmr as well. 😄
Jacob Halliday Holy cow, no I wasn't! I had a happy and harmonic childhood being surrounded with loving adults and kids alike. How come you're drawing such a conclusion?
This is one of my all time favorite ASMR videos. My top 4 (all tied): 1) this video 2) Hypnotic Gaze - theonelilium 3) Welcome to the Laboratory ASMR science - Heather Feather 4) Travel to Planet Nuhhu - Lisabelle No matter how many times I listen to these, I always come back.
I'm mostly a returning costumer for 1: Sound of rain 1 by massage asmr 2: some random street nail cutting video I came across while browsing the internet 3: a video about remedy for toe fungus that I came across on aliexpress 4 all limpa cleansing, basically someone getting spit on by a woman. 5: 2$ street massage
I have no idea why the light movements trigger me so much. Normally I hate bright light in my face. But here I love it and it soothes and relaxes. The power of Dr. Dimitri!
my triggers are soft spoken, hand movements, brushing, massage, water spraying. I can't STAND wet mouth sounds, chewing sounds! I lose it completely and can't stop the video fast enough!
Excuse my French but the portion with the torch was OUTFUCKINGSTANDING. The sound your shirt makes combined with the light from the torch was euphoric. Most relaxed I have felt in an incredibly long time. Thank you!!!
I always wondered what that tingly feeling was and now I know it is something called ASMR. I remember back when I was a little kid and my Aunt would always slowly scratch my scalp while i sat on the floor by the couch and felt the tingles as it put me to sleep
I realize this is an old video BUT it is new to me. This has been the most tingly that I have been since I have began my ASMR journey. I didn't think the light (torch, lol) would get me but it did. Thanks!
My tingles had disappeared before I watched this. I usually stick to female asmr voices but lately, they just don't work as well anymore. So I decided to check out some different types of videos....And BAM! my tingles are back in a wave of glory across my scalp, thanks to this video. XD
One of your very best videos - ever. And I can say that about nearly every one of your videos because you always find a way to produce better videos, even when I think you just gave your very best. Keep it up!
Hey Dimitri, just wanted to say that i really love your videos! There are many that i watch on a weekly basis, like sleepman. I would love if you did another sleepman btw. Thanks for being a caring individual, and someone who takes time to learn how to use their equipment properly, both shine through in your videos.
Plugging in the water spray audio and acting it out was a brilliant way to keep the camera dry. I didn't know how you were gonna pull it off, but I had faith.
ᴛʜᴇ R̲̅E̲̅A̲̅L̲̅ ᴅɪʀᴛʏ ᴅᴀɴ Why not? they enjoy it, it would make a lot of people happy. I certainly would if I had the money, even if it set me back in money for a little while.
Ah a Dr. Dmitri video the day after a Manwelle video? I'd just been thinking recently that I've been missing them! Your Dr. Dmitri speech pattern/tonality/pitch in particular gives me so many tingles and I'm so glad you have another video featuring it!
I never knew slow moving flashlight would even be one of my triggers... And his shirt... The spray bottle... The quiet "tick tock" ahhhhhhh feels gooood :)
For me,when someone is explaining something to me or reading something to me it triggers my asmr.its usually a soft voice too.glad to know it has a name,I used to think I was weird growing up cause everyone I told thought I was crazy lol.
First time trying out your videos with my headphones (Yes, I know, almost an AMSR sin). Wow the water spraying is insanely tingle inducing, especially with the headphones on. Great video as always!
i would like to commend you, and let you know what a great job you're doing. please keep it up, i had a pretty nice, and repeated effect. especially when you started the bit with the light. i do have to say you mights advise people to try watching this in an already dimmed room , or watch this video with the lights off, and in full screen for maximum relaxation. which is what i did, and it gave maximum ASMR. the reason for that is that in full screen, and with the lights dimmed or off, the full effect of the video takes place, and you don't get nasty monitor light. which makes the light bit you do, all the more of an effect. Also, great panning. really good job over all, keep it man. and thanks a bunch!!! :)
I love to watch people while they are reading a newspaper or magazine and chewing a bubble gum (add some well-smelling perfume to that). Also, I like listening to the sound of shoes when someone is walking slowly along the platform at the train or bus station.
Its been years and I still watch this once a week. I know you're busy but I'd love an update with an EEG cap with hairbrushing and personal attention to measure the reaction!
I just wanted to say thank you for your amazing videos i always look forward to them and they always relax me and your voice is so relaxing it helps with my anxiety and stresses :)
Never understood why is it all about quiet and gentle things in ASMR. My first (and best) ASMR was (and still is) hearing loud jet engine noise chorusing and flangering all around. Especcialy afterburner. And another one - hearing trains ride along rails producing that rythmic knocking sound when their wheels go through rail junction points. And mby even racecars racing noise. Then again, i don't mind scratching, mic blowing and all those slow things too. They trigger my ASMR just as well. But i personally don't thinkg ASMR is about relaxation. It's about getting your favourite thing. It's not nessecary to be relaxing, quiet and gentle. It just has to be yours. I firmly believe many can experience ASMR while listening to their favourite songs. Is that quiet and gentle? I don't think so. I can get tingles from listening my fav trance music for example.
wonderful video.thankyou so much.ASMR is incredibly underused in the medical world.a form of self healing and relaxation you highlight so well.........
I used to listen to slow guitar music by buckethead with rain in the background playing at the same level, really helped my mind sleep when i was on the edge of going crazy, now im slowly drawn to asmr too, love your videos dr dmitri
Good on ya for the shout-out to another ASMRtist's work. I'm an artist, but not an ASMRtist, and I just got my first public shout-out from another artist (public performance art related) who liked and was inspired by some of my work, in a work they did, last week. So firsthand, I can tell you, at least some artists think shout-outs are amazingly, amazingly cool even though we don't DO our art in the first place, to get them.
I can't see or listen to another asmr video anymore cause MassageASMR has high quality audio sounds no noise, just it can make me concentrate on his video!
MassageASMR is like a book of short stories which have only a few things that make them part of same universe. Ephemeral Rift is like a bunch of series that constantly cross reference each other and have a bigger plot that needs to be unraveled. Both are great.
Sooo I'm watching this and when you started to ask me questions like when my first ASMR experience was? The first I could remember was when I was 14 and I talked to my neighbor, he had a thick accent and I found it triggered me but when you said in school it reminded me that when I was little in "Kindergarten" they would have nurses come in and check our hair and rustle through them from back to front very gently to check for lice... you immediately triggered my asmr by reminding me about it and it was one of the heaviest tingles I have felt in a long time...

I don’t know what to reply with but I am going to reply anyways so I can be the first
u meant 8 years?
It's so weird that Dmitry is the only male Asmrist i listen to FoR years while Karuna is the only one i can count on for Hydrotherapy ASMR and breathing steps to fall asleep, both great
Time to revisit and relax dearie❤️ praying for you and your situation hopefully this can help you unwind🤗
Dimitri and rlft are a deadly asmr duo, they will make you pass out instantly and you will wake up in 3 months.
***** spookwagen? Who's spookwagen?
***** ?
+Geoffrey Mejia No one likes spookwagen.
aplow2018 i just dont know who that is.
+Geoffrey Mejia Google does.
8 years ago Dmitri was producing ASMR far superior to most of what's made today. Amazing.
I love the shout out to Ephimeral Rift's character, Doctor Clemmons.
"My colleague, professor Clemmons"
>Spits his coffee everywhere
What rift did I just tumble through?
the ephemeral one
+David Nguyen It's at the very beginning.
+Joshi who's professor Clemmons and why did his name make you spill your coffee everywhere?
Brandon Persaud Professor Clemmons is an alter ego of Ephemeral Rift, another ASMR Artist.
Brandon Persaud No, not really. Dmitri is better.
I thought I was the only kid that did that.
That's not what "playing doctor" means
MrInkblots Where I grew up literally NOBODY considered playing doctor about that, I guess places are different.
I have anxiety and ptsd. I use these videos so often to help me sleep. I love these role plays, they help me more than you will ever know ❤️
Content, that got me through rough nights during school years and is now helping me with rough nights during university exams.
Thank you
At 6:24 he looks so damn pleased with himself xD
Lmfao 😂
LMAO
lol indeed
lololol yeah
Heather Hunt He's like "yess its working, now lemme just go full on asmr and knock him out, steal his stuff and then play truant" xD
Loved the little shout-outs to Maria, Heather, and Ilse! Watching the ASMR community help out one another instead on competing all the time is one of the reasons I love YT ASMR!
I love Dr. Dimitri. My favourite ASMR artist.

the flashlight in this is awesome

Lilli Jäger you were abused as a child weren't you...
Jacob Halliday Holy cow, no I wasn't! I had a happy and harmonic childhood being surrounded with loving adults and kids alike. How come you're drawing such a conclusion?
Jacob Halliday i'm fcking dead xD
Cannot stress enough how much I love the light and your hand movements as you whisper. Soooo many tingles.

I hate it when you get ready for one if these videos by getting all relaxed and then a noisy blaring ad has to ruin the mood
Dr. Dimitri is like 80% of what I watch on youtube these days. Fantastic videos; thank you.
Only 6k more views till this video reaches 1 mil. Definitely deserves it. It's a long time classic.
now just 1k left!!!
I was in a trance with that water spraying!!
Unfortunately, Dimitri is seldom active on his channel. I miss his ASMR, although I am still watching his older ones.
@@aseriesoftriangleswecalltr6065 same
This guy is in a different league to most of them...its clearly an art form to him.
You have the best microphone setup in the asmr community. Thank you for all you do!
Dr. Dmitri + Prof. Clemmons=GG
PS... When you guys get all your info, you both should do a collabo video together. It would be fantastic.
Jake Canter "Prof. Clemmons" is also a fictional ASMR character.
Jake Canter WHAT DO YOU MEAN IT'S A ROLEPLAY??
Jake Canter LIES
Mr. President!
Thomas Jefferson Never Trust The Professor....
Loved the slow whispering in the dark with the light, please do more of these :)
my triggers are soft spoken, hand movements, brushing, massage, water spraying.
I can't STAND wet mouth sounds, chewing sounds! I lose it completely and can't stop the video fast enough!
Calm down
Elvisneedsboats Bennett Does it give you Jabba flashbacks?
I legitimately ugly-laughed at this comment
Dmitri you must be the most active ASMRist I know in the community! Keep up the good work, it's fantastic!
This is my favourite video of the Dr Dimitri series! Relaxation and ASMR heaven!
I don't trust Dr Dmitri anymore. He's with the Professor. And we all know not to trust the professor...
lmao
this is true. do not trust the professor.
Only uncle e G fans will understand

"ASMR response" like when you put your pin number into an ATM machine. RIP in peace, acronyms.
rip english....
what are you saying
to this day i still don't know why people say "rip in peace"
D:
zillkillyou that's the joke if you didn't notice

Plugging in the water spray audio and acting it out was a brilliant way to keep the camera dry. I didn't know how you were gonna pull it off, but I had faith.
I love the sound of the water spray. It sort of sounds like sweeping a carpet; another sound I enjoy :)
I'm enjoying all the shout-outs to the other ASMRtists.
Also: the shirt noise! I love the combo of the constant shirt noises with the alternating light visual!
I love that also. His shirts always give me tingles. Why I come to these vids mostly. Weird trigger but it works. Hahaha 😂
Damn this was like 2 years ago now... did they ever do a collab? Those two are big time for the ASMR community.
The combination of the darkness with the light and your whispers was my trigger :)
Yeah ER and MassageASMR are the only male ASMR youtubers I really enjoy watching. They are the best hands down.
With every professor clemmons reference, I get more and more excited for a collab
impossible. dmitri lives in queens island, Australia and rift lives in east coast in the US.
Let me dream dammit :(
+ᴛʜᴇ R̲̅E̲̅A̲̅L̲̅ ᴅɪʀᴛʏ ᴅᴀɴ why couldn't one of them visit so they could make a bunch of videos?

Noooo you heard him mention professor clemmons. Totally different guy! I wonder if he'll mention about Margaret next...
Professor Clemmons is just one of the characters that Ephemeral Rift plays

Woah! this is my personal request from the competition! :) thanks a lot, will enjoy this one.
