    For me the biggest problem with PTR is it's not a testing environment. It's a large time investment where you have to be willing to grind dozens of hours to test even a single build. PTR is for testing, not grinding. If they want good feedback they need to add at least 4 of these things:
    1. All Tempers Unlocked
    2. All Aspects Unlocked
    3. Infinite Obols (Free Gambling)
    4. No Cost for Bosses / Events (Toggleable - To Enable Optional Grinding for Testing)
    5. All New Uniques Given Per Class

    As someone who stepped away from D4 after S1. I returned for S4 and spent a few hundred hours really enjoying every minute of the game. Sure, it's still not perfect. But, the rework of the loot, masterworking, tempering, greater affixes, rifts etc was all a very worthy addition to end game content.
    I really hoped they would continue from the hype of S4. But, I feel it's going to be a step backwards again.

    The druids bigger problem is actually complicated mechanics. Having to shift every 3 seconds between 3 different forms to pick up enough damage modifiers to do half the damage of another class. Even the damn boots and if you miss it by 2 second start over. Or having to watch a ticking prov clock and if you miss it by 1 second start over. Assuming you can even see the buff timer on the list. The only legitimate way to force shift to get these bonuses is by casting a skill that doesnt even belong in your build or do damage.

    Wudi said it best when he mentioned that bugs that have already been fixed constantly keep recurring in the following season. For example, incenses were fixed in s3 so that they would last for their intended duration after death like elixirs do, but the bug is now back in s4. It definitely seems like each season is still being done by 2 separate teams working on 2 different versions of the game and the odd numbered seasons team is significantly worse

    It's the same thing in wow for the past few years, they have 1-2 devs or 1 person per class and how good the class is designed lives and dies by those people

    Probably an unpopular opinion, but the answer is to cap the multipliers. Not the size of them, but the number of them. Make it so every class can only benefit from like 5 multipliers, and all other damage them becomes additive. It helps in other areas too. Build has no room for vul? no problem, pick up a different multi elsewhere! Want to use vul, crit and overpower? No worries, you can still use two other multis as well!
    Give us a ui space in the inventory that lets us select the five we use out of all equipped, like the class specials ui.
    I think fixing the aspect issue could be something they could work with in the paragon board too. Maybe give the ability to swap out unique aspects on the boards with ones from the library?
    EDIT: to head off the complain of the restriction, when the meta is just always get as many multipliers as you can, there really isnt much build variety, and balance becomes harder as well. Limiting the number of multis in a smart way, is actually a non obvious buff to everyone.
    Gonna say it again here. They already have a fix for glyphs, they just dont use it. The season 3 mechanic was levelling glyphs for the pet. You got them from the vaults, but you ALSO got to level them up by picking up extra copies, and they COULD drop most places but at much lower rates. Just do this for paragon glyphs! They already do drop a lot of places, you dont need to increase it much, but allow duplicates to add exp to the glyphs. Want to farm them? do nmd. Dont like nmd? get them most places, at vastly lower rates, and randomly get any of them, not getting to choose which one you level.

    I think a big reason why the PTR was so buggy was because they had a super old build in it. Which is also why so many announced features didn’t even make it in to that build. They probably got pressed into releasing a PTR when they did so they had a specific time frame between then and release.

    I agree with them about the items. I was so pumped for fractured winterglass and then it got nerfed to shit. Then when the season was about to start and come to find out that it was made for a leveling build, I was so pissed.

    Just give all other classes parity with barbs. HP% increasing nodes on talent points/a charm slot thar either supports 2 (1h duel) or 1 (2h) an equipment every other class can roll a set of temps/affix

    PTR was bad. You guys already addressed it but we should find bugs that are due to complicated interactions not equipping uniques that say "When you do X, Y happens" then you do X and Y doesn't happen. These kind of bugs could have been caught by Blizz in 5 minutes if anyone even bothered to test it.

    Something to mention
    One I don’t think the barb is that op the strongest builds are basic skills Becuase all the core skills have been nerfed.
    Gushing wounds will get a nerf like every other barb skill that over performs any season and without that barbs are the top close or op
    Because some of us players that have top builds can one shot tormented bosses
    The average player prob doesn’t even get a char strong enough to kill a tormented boss.
    Most times I pick random group and kill a tormented boss I always get one or two of them saying that’s their first Uber boss kill.
    Also think tempers are op on purpose to make builds with more choice vs putting it in the skill they put it on the item..
    From what I understand from their campfire about it.

    Spirit Bones goes super quick in helltide. It is just Rax weird playstyle that messes it up.

    I havent watched the whole thing yet, in case this comes up - but I think moving Masterworking mats to Infernal Hordes is the best play here to reward that. Then add leaderboards to the Pit, and make that the super high end pushing mostly for fun/show content.
    Imo that fits way better than pushing pits for Masterworking your gear, and then.. have some fun demolishing Hordes for fun I guess?

      Love Mac's suggestion for ingame earnable old Cosmetic's ofc - but I doubt "earn less money" in any shape or form is an option for BlizzCorp.

    On the community note, the biggest issue for me is that the grind to get to the content creators gear is so brutal that for 80% of the content I don't get to try the builds. Which makes it hard to engage with. DOTA, Overwatch, MTG, chess, etc are all games where the creators are worlds better than me BUT I can engage with and play the same game as them.

      If you aren't capable of grinding for the build you could always buy the gear with gold. The only real problem I see is that uber uniques aren't tradeable.

    I have played a Druid ever since preseason because I guess I hate myself? But rax is 100% correct needing 400 spirit boons to finish your level 15 quest is the stupidest thing in the game. Usually what I do is ignore the boons until I’m like level 50. they start dropping when youre level 15 doing any kind of content so I just picked them up forever and then I just go do the stronghold and max out all the spirits in one swoop 30 to 40 levels past where I should be doing that. I think it’s a complete oversight. Rogues can get combo points and like 14 minutes from level one lol

    Dude just make it so every third of the tides ensure a GA on every dropped piece. That way, ppl who are done with uber uniques, can keep playing on the chance that by finishing the tides, they will get x number of legendary 3 GA.

    Casual here. From what ive heard im not going to even try the infernal horde mode even once. And regarding tormented bosses getting one shot.. how? Lol. Not by my 8/12 masterworked maxroll build anyways.

      depends on your class but both barb and rogue can down them fast. just run the highest pit you can 60+ and you'll get there. Also you don't need to run tormented bosses, its just save mats. If you need the uber just run tormented zir and reg durial.

    If you look at Elden Ring, you see hundreds, if not 1000 viable builds, that can be totally changed based on moving around a couple Tasman’s and items. The basic issue is that so many of the skills are useless, and though there is build diversity, the power gap is enormous between them. It ultimately feels like they’re not spending the appropriate amount of time making the game good which sucks.

      Terrible comparison, if you want to compare games at least stick to the same genre 😂
      Elden Ring doesn’t have HUNDREDS, and that game is a huge balance problem too. Half to 75% of dlc items need buffs. AND you are limited on respecs (with no loadout system either)

    Some things that would be cool:
    Characters combo attacks with other players like in marvel ultimate alliance
    2. Mats to re set tempers
    3. A GODDAMN MAP OVERLAY WITH COMPAS AND DISTANCE
    4. Nm dungeons should give u a rating for solo vs group play
    5. More interactable things on the map…more 3d level design
    6. When basic skills work better than core skills there’s something wrong

      basic skills are gonna be a good way to get throught wt4 easily, level and speedfarm in season 5, core skills are gonna be for pushing, at least in most case scenarios from what i tested in ptr

      i do not want a map overlay, if they fix backtracking in nightmare dungeons its not necessary and i think it severely hurts the viewing experience when watching content

    The problem with D4 is that developers are inexperienced and in a crunch all the time.
    The first thing happens when you hire because of diversity instead of skill.
    And leads to the second problem.

      So that means you’ve identified the weak links in the dev team, and they’re non-white. That should be easy to list. List them.
      That is what you meant right? Can’t imagine I misunderstood the world’s lamest no-brain loafer Internet copy-paste comment.
      Anyway… please name the diversity hire(s) member(s) of the dev team who is responsible for the sub-par level of product testing in the game.

    Blizzard does not want to to know how things will be in S5 after PTR.
    That's the whole point I think.
    They don't want you to have the best builds before the season starts.
    They want that to develop during the season.

    It really feels like devs are moving the game forward with modern mmo-like design, where leveling doesn't matter (and devs will make sure it doesn't matter), where you're expected to get certain items to be functional (and devs will make sure build-defining uniques are basically free) and balance only with high level content in mind. I don't like this top-down approach. I'd prefer an approach where builds are designed first and made somewhat in line with each other in terms of power level (the best build should outperform the worst build no more than 10x times in terms of power level) and only after that spice it up with transformative uniques.

    People miss out on something regarding the infernal hordes.
    On level 6 you can easily achieve 250 eather.
    This means that for 15 minutes of gameplay you get 10 items with at least 1GA or more.
    Just that is already the best source of GA items in the game.
    Even helltide matron doesn't come close, especially without the mindcage.

    If it was up to me I would:
    1)expand the skill trees and allow us to gain points up til 100
    2)remove many unique items but perhaps place their unique powers into the skill tree branches. This way you can still use the fun skill focussed powers without having to give up gear slots.
    3)perhaps look at ways to have more of our power put into the skill trees and balance classes around that
    4)remove temper reroll limits please. Bricking a good item you just found isn’t fun at all
    5)please add the D3 armoury system. Playing different builds is fun. Being able to switch between builds quickly in town and make use out of more gear we get is fun. Feeling stuck in one build for most of the season isn’t

    Come on, guys. Why are you all so obsessed with difficulty modes and challenges? Diablo has never been a difficult game. It's all about finding loot, making cool builds, and having fun. If you want a challenge, go play Elden Ring or Demon's Souls. Rex was right about Diablo 3 and Greater Rifts, but the rest of the conversation went way off track.

    D4 runs incredibly smooth, and that’s what you get with a bigger company. The Diablo universe is 2nd to none as far as “coolness” factor goes… but the D4 leadership team has absolutely no idea how to balance this type of game for longevity. They should be in the “fire prevention” business rather than the fire fighting business.
    Take the fast food business for example: for the most part, every fast food restaurant’s product is the same… but there’s a reason Chick-Fil-A is in a different stratosphere than the others and it starts and ends with leadership.
    Everyone in their respective fields can come up with an idea and create the product. That’s the easy part.
    It’s the implementation and customer service side that will determine whether you succeed or not.
    You can absolutely see the games that have passionate leadership and management, and that their entire lives depend on making their game meet their vision… and you can see the games that have leadership and management that strictly see their product as a “job.”
    I’ll let you decide where Diablo 4 is trending.

    A lot of talking about lack of endgame content or challenge without mentioning the Gauntlet, which literally exists just to test who can best optimise their build and strategy. And has effectively infinite difficulty due to leaderboards.

    Nice discussion. One thing bothers me to no end. Macro has some obnoxious vocal fry and it's hard to listen to after a while... dude fix this crap because it's dmg multiplier is way to high.

    it's very funny how disappointed macroboiboi looked when talking about shard of varathiel right from the get go. " I'M VERY CONFUSED BY IT" hahaha! Of course man because Necro cannot use it. just move on, try to play other classes with a basic skill build (all 4 other classes) and STOP CRYING!

    Season 4 was fun. However, the problem is this. Every single season of both d3 and d4 has suffered the same issues. These are unresolved problems and broken gameplay that remains so long that the community either leaves because they are disappointed or pissed because the hype was nothing but hype with no real substance. Here we are yet again at the end of an expansion and the game is just now becoming somewhat interesting. By this time we've lost a huge part of the player base, and soured the water. Blizzard has a long track record of shitting om their own games. This is sad because they fundamentally make very impressive games. It feels like all they employ is people who can code and design, but never play or have played a video game in their life. Why are you guys not hired as analyst? Why do they have to get hit in their financial nuts in order to make change? Surely there's a world where they get back to their roots and hire gamers as producers, not board members. Cannot they understand that the reason why games like WoW has success at all is because the people who invented it were true blue gamers, who had passion for what they did. If wow came out this day in age it would get shit on by every other mmo. If diablo started this day in age it would get shit on by every other aarpg. They need to wise up.

    Solution for NM Dungs, give glyph XP everywhere make glyphs account wide, move bottleneck resources to NM bosses and Fields of hatred, give us incentive to PVP and do NM dungos. now you will have players doing both risking it in Fields or do it safer but less rewarding in NM dungos. Makes also HC less anoying, and gives incentive to make more Characters. in diablo 3 the problem was also there where upon death grinding thise Gems up was just a fucking PITA and they gave us 1 more roll on Gems in HC mode
