That chicken coop is great! Do have any large predators ? I think I need a solid Fort Knox type coop that will withstand Black Bears. I like the electric fencing and electrified chicken wire. Wonderful to see someone like Brant who is building coops and rabbit hutches. Have you checked out the 1971 community known as The Farm that was in Summertown,Tennessee? It disbanded around the late 80s, but the concept is what your NC community is undertaking on an individual farmstead basis, which is what I did in the 70s and carry on today in rural New Hampshire. The Farm and Rodale Press have a wealth of information for sustainability today.

I really like your homestead videos. I really like your family in videos. I really like your yurt & how it functions, the many upgrades inside of it.. those are all awesome shares.. But a word of advice.. fitness is well & fine.. But don't let this channel collaboration box you into a corner all about fitness... Keep in mind when I was a kid.. everybody was cutting gym class. Don't let it kill your channel while one channel tries to gain new viewer numbers from all of your channels.... because that is the underlining component.. It is one thing to help each other out.. It is another to tie a millstone to your channel's identity.
That chicken tractor is beautiful. Top notch workmanship. I work for a major home improvement retailer and I always encourage people to buy the extended purchase protection. It's like investment protection. Appliances are expensive to replace.

Registration is useless. All that's for is to send you unsolicited mail and if you lose your receipt. It's still covered by the warranty if you register or not. Just keep your receipt. That is your warranty proof. I work in the maintenance field for the last 23 years. I have installed hundreds of appliances that have broke during warranty. I have never registered one of them and they still have to abide by the warranty. Also I'm sure the chickens and kids are going to love that new coop for a long time.
Every time I watch one of your videos I get so jealous because I am trapped in the loud dirty city & your enjoying all that fun clean living. I will be retiring soon and plan on purchasing 20 acres near Peotone IL. I pray I am blessed with neighbors like you & your lovely family!

I joined Abundant Permaculture and I'm really looking forward to your fitness advice. My fitness level declined significantly while I was in grad school. Now I'm trying to improve it but I'm finding it's a lot more difficult over 40. I'm really hoping my homesteading ventures will help improve my health, fitness included. I do all my fitness when I garden. I do my squats when I pull some weeds out. I pull 100ft of water hose, and I do a lot of walking. My joints warm up and I don't ache as much. Thank you for sharing your life and farm with all of us. Love and Blessings from Texas.
I saw this video where a guy used a scythe on his property with as much precision as a weed eater and got exercise using it too! It looked like fun actually!

Our dishwasher pump broke. They sent a Viking over to repair it. He said that the pump breaking was common to this brand. A few months on and the pump has broken again! Crazy! 🐯🐯🐯

I really really which we worked with each other more, like this, rather than going to national (or international) companies. I've pretty much weaned myself off of Wally World, still like TSC, but would rather make connections with local craftspersons.
Nice chicken tractor. I have to agree that the box stores have lightweight stuff. I’ve been looking for one. But I can only have 7 chickens in the city I live in. So I would need a smaller one.
Custom made builds are always better. My husband build some garden/flower beds and everyone loved them but they didn’t want to pay anything for them. We couldn’t even break even on materials. It’s sad that people would rather pay less for crap products at a big box store and buy them every year than to get quality made products that are custom built and made to last. Great video!!!
