jazakAllah khair for the translation. it's indeed amazing to hear regarding Imam Ghazali Rahmatullahi Alayhi and his book Ihya ulum ud din from such a deeply knowledgeable scholar
jazakAllahu khairan, i began to get doubts after a salafi friend tried to guilt shame me for going against the words of some saudi shouyoukh. he told me dont read it it has fake hadith, alhamdulillah i found this video
I think they shaykh is trying to make everyone understand the magnitude of how important nabi Muhammad ﷺ is and his ahadeeth. He is not saying it’s equal to Quran as Quran is directly from Allah, but without the Hadith which essentially Allah guided Muhammad ﷺ to perform we wouldn’t be practising Islam the way nabi Muhammad ﷺ practised. Idk why people take things so literally
The hadith scholars like ibn Salah, al Dhahabi , ibn Jawzi, al Iraqi say there are alot of fabrications and weak ahadith and criticized it very much. I also read Imam Nawawi also had his reservations about al Ghazali so what is the source for your statement?
Ibn al Jawzi abridged this very and an-Nawawi does indeed quote from al-Ghazali in his Sharh of Muslim as iirc does Ibn Hajar in his Sharh of Bukhari. Whether you like to admit it or not, al-Ghazali is followed in some way by pretty much all Shafi scholars 😊
Who on earth can say that the words of a man are like Qur'an. Imam nawi can never say this blashphemy Al ayazubillah. Even if he said this, what makes us not to reject him . Even the prophetic hadith we call hadith not missli Qur'an. Don't listen to this person
He never said it is like the Quran he said it’s near the Quran meaning it’s import in a metaphorical sense not a literal sense and this is a phrase of evident exaggeration, common in the Arabic language
I Agree with whatever you say About Ihya & Imam Gazali except Your Own Words "This book is like Quran" Brother I know that your intention is good but Words Matters so please Revert You Statement And Please Correct Your Words.
Maybe you should clean your heart and learn how ulama speak metaphorically in Arabic. This is normal way of speech and only people of sick hearts or week understanding would literally think he is comparing the quran to ihya.
@@judgeyourself8213 Sorry For your inability to comprehend my Intention as my Suggestive Words gives you hard impression.. Likewise Its also proves my words *THAT WORDS MATTERS*
@JaTheBiker I belive sometimes scholars speak metaphorical about some of the books they read. For sure their are other better or equivalent books. That's the beauty of Islam. We had many many scholars that only because of Allah we are blessed through them. My only concern, which I should have phrased it properly is if imam nawawi said that, let's leave him alone. He is one of the greatest scholars we had. That's all.
I knew this kind of wahabi comment will appear sooner or later. The shaykh didnt say that the Ihya is "exactly like the Qur'an" but almost like it. BIG difference akhi/sis.
@@mikhan5191 bro these ppl hate everyone from Ahle Sunnah except their lords MiAW, Bin Baz (May Allah forgive him), Ibne Taymiyyah Rahimullah, Al Albani (May Allah forgive him). Recently I had seen a salafi on twitter saying Shaykh Al Islam Ibn Subki Rahimullah was a mushrik Nauzubillah.😂😂 Their minds cannot comprehend that majority of Ahle Sunnah were Asharis and Maturidis. Also they are afraid to make takfir on Imam Suyuti Rahimullah but would still call average sufi mushrik.
The prophet may peace and blessings be upon him was described as like being like the Quran. Being described like the Quran is established from the Sunnah. There is no comparison between Ihya and the Being of the Messenger of Allah may peace and blessings be upon him, but the point stands that a thing can be described like the Quran for its own veneration. The Quran is Kalaam Allah and inimitable, whereas the word of man is fallible.
I don't agree with the selection of wording, but the context is that if you remove something it becomes incomplete and a matter of importance is missing. That's why the comparison is made.

MaashAllah beautiful response, aren't the people of knowledge beautiful, subehaanallah absolutely beautiful
Wahabis should watch this. InshaAllah they repent
Masha allah
You just destroyed their home made ideology
Thank you so much for the translation
Ma'sha'allah. Where can I find the references for the hadiths in Ihya? Any English source?
There's no English source. Refer to the latest edition of the Ihya from Dar al-Minhaj.
In the translation it says fabricated when the speaker was talking about weak ahadith right
any link of this shyak works on ihya
anyone knows the muhaqqiq that the Shaykh mentioned? thanks
Which muhaqqiq?
What time in the video brother

Yet It was still highly revered by many other scholars even the scholars you listed and still is.

It's better to get Minahj Al-Qasidin
Astaghfirullah the Ihya is almost like the Quran? Nothing will come close to the Quran, nothing will come close to coming close to it

Loool, dude he is speaking metaphorical. He is speaking about the strength of imam ghazali.
I can't belive you actually took that literally. 🤣.
