My interpretation of it is that it's a depiction of an abusive relationship. The wolf being the negative partner of the duo. Someone who acts out and 'bites' when they're 'not quite right'.The rabbit being the other of the duo, the receiver of the outlashes. The rabbit tries to cut the ties with the wolf; running away from the wolf. The wolf tries to convince the rabbit that it was an isolated event, that they just weren't right at the time; following, giving excuses, trying to reason that it's ok. The rabbit begins to accept what is being said, but it inevitably re-occurs, the wolf's true nature bleeding through, another outlash taken by the rabbit. Trust is repeatedly broken, leaving the rabbit numb or dead inside. In some cases, for sure, an abusive relationship can end in the ultimatum; death. Very strong piece for sure.

My theory for what the song is about: I think it is about a man who got jailed for murdering someone with a gang and he got out and is trying to put his old life behind him and he falls in love with a girl/guy and he is trying to get them to understand that he has changed and they believe him. the man one night was triggered and physically attacked his partner the man felt ill at the thought of murdering another human being before he finished killing them however,his beloved became afraid of him. he managed to mend their relationship and it went back to being okay but one night the man had been triggered again by something and he snapped on his partner and murdered them, he prayed and prayed that they weren't dead but when the horrible realization that his partner was well and truly dead he curled up with them until he died of dehydration. the ending could however be: the man one night was triggered and physically attacked his partner the man felt ill at the thought of murdering another human being before he finished killing them however,they became afraid of him. and so his loved one dumped him and ran away and the man try's to tell them to stay but they are already gone. if anyone actually knows what the song is about please tell me if I was right, Thank you!

I like this song and animation. My feeling is that the wolf didnt want to hurt the rabbit. He wanted to be what he couldnt. In the end a wolf needs meat to stay alive. Alone without his pack, the wolf needed meat to survive. In the song he isnt trying to convince only the rabbit that he wants to change who he is, but to convince himself. At the end he had to give in to his nature and he hates that fact so much that he cant stand the rabbits dead eyes to look at him. My heart brakes for the lone wolf. The wolf sprinted after the rabbit as his raging, killing instinct took over his body. His fur swayed as the rabbit bounded onward. He snarled as he swiftly bit the flank of the rabbit. Blood covered the wound as he licked his chops in satisfaction. He slowly padded towards the rabbit . The wolf could have sworn he had saw his prey shed a tear as he continued to walk. He laid down as the rabbit trembled in fear. He glanced at it as he smiled and assured the rabbit he was okay. But his killer instinct took over as he slashed the rabbits throat with his teeth. Thw snow now covered in blood he trembled as he knew what he had done. The rabbit was dead. He howled a sorrowful howl as he gently picked up his prey and carried it back to his den. The wolf blankly stared as the rabbits stare looked at the blazing snow storm. He nudged it as if it was still alive. No breath. No rising of the rabbits chest. No frosty mist coming from his prey's nose. It was dead. He killed it. His killer instinct took over. A tear ran down his cheek as he laid his head down, guilty of what he had done. I kind of see the story as a villain trying to go through a redemption which isn't going well. They struggle to break away from their darker thoughts and ambitions, trying to make up for their mistakes and wrong doings. But those habits of murder and destruction are still there. They want to make that change, but they can't. They have the intention to change, but those habits keep returning to them.
I have mixed emotions about this too. At first I was scared when he snapped and accidently killed the rabbit, then I was kind of sad when he regrets killing it.
Sometimes people make such things to give a certain message, a message of sadness only to make them feel the same way, so they realize how bad this world *Truly* is.
The wolf will always be a wolf. He sees his brokenness and he wants so badly to be innocent like the rabbit. But it isn't in his nature. A wolf can't live without flesh to feed him. it's the sad story of nature....and humanity....how once we have "bitten" once we need protect our self from our own brokeness, others get hurt and we hurt it. The wolfs of the world are hurting and represent depression. The rabbits are the anxiety wanting to trust but being afraid of their ultimate failure to protect themself. This song also reminds me of an addict and how they try and try and try to say they are done....but without help it will be a never ending cycle and people will get hurt.

Makes me think of an abusive relationship. The abuser is like a predator that only has selfish love for their prey. Promising not to hurt the victim again and again but still giving into their animal desires and abusive tendencies every time, often to the point of killing the abused and battered partner.

Here's my own lyrical analysis line by line on what I think he is saying.

I like this song and animation. My feeling is that the wolf didnt want to hurt the rabbit. He wanted to be what he couldnt. In the end a wolf needs meat to stay alive. Alone without his pack, the wolf needed meat to survive. In the song he isnt trying to convince only the rabbit that he wants to change who he is, but to convince himself. At the end he had to give in to his nature and he hates that fact so much that he cant stand the rabbits dead eyes to look at him. My heart brakes for the lone wolf. He represents all of us living in a broken world and we all want to change it but alone we can only change so much we are all part of the system. We know the "rabbits" are in danger and children die of hunger yet, we cant break free of the way our world is governed. When we hear of school shootings, starving children, rape, murder....we want to look away. - like the wolf
All I could think about, while listening and looking at the animation, is forbidden love between predator and prey. Q-Q

I had seen this a long time ago and it feel so good to revisit it, this feels like a boost in the spirit like nothing else can recreate.
I love this animation
I look at this film and then I look at nature and I realize that life only is a hierarchy. You kill or be killed. The point is only to prove your status by crushing the smaller; the weaker. And in the end, what do you have? Sadness. Loneliness. You are alone in the end in this tundra of despair that we call our "our world".
On a much lighter note, your film was great, and made me cry (which hardly ever happens these days). I thank you for that. I hope for more.

Going back to the songs and animation that shaped me to what I am to say from 2020 thank you for making this I love it so much
The wolf sprinted after the rabbit as his raging, killing instinct took over his body. His fur swayed as the rabbit bounded onward. He snarled as he swiftly bit the flank of the rabbit. Blood covered the wound as he licked his chops in satisfaction. He slowly padded towards the rabbit . The wolf could have sworn he had saw his prey shed a tear as he continued to walk. He laid down as the rabbit trembled in fear. He glanced at it as he smiled and assured the rabbit he was okay. But his killer instinct took over as he slashed the rabbits throat with his teeth. Thw snow now covered in blood he trembled as he knew what he had done. The rabbit was dead. He howled a sorrowful howl as he gently picked up his prey and carried it back to his den. The wolf blankly stared as the rabbits stare looked at the blazing snow storm. He nudged it as if it was still alive. No breath. No rising of the rabbits chest. No frosty mist coming from his prey's nose. It was dead. He killed it. His killer instinct took over. A tear ran down his cheek as he laid his head down, guilty of what he had done.

I kind of see the story as a villain trying to go through a redemption which isn't going well. They struggle to break away from their darker thoughts and ambitions, trying to make up for their mistakes and wrong doings. But those habits of murder and destruction are still there. They want to make that change, but they can't. They have the intention to change, but those habits keep returning to them.

Sometimes people make such things to give a certain message, a message of sadness only to make them feel the same way, so they realize how bad this world *Truly* is.
The wolf will always be a wolf. He sees his brokenness and he wants so badly to be innocent like the rabbit. But it isn't in his nature. A wolf can't live without flesh to feed him. it's the sad story of nature....and humanity....how once we have "bitten" once we need protect our self from our own brokeness, others get hurt and we hurt it. The wolfs of the world are hurting and represent depression. The rabbits are the anxiety wanting to trust but being afraid of their ultimate failure to protect themself. This song also reminds me of an addict and how they try and try and try to say they are done....but without help it will be a never ending cycle and people will get hurt.

Makes me think of an abusive relationship. The abuser is like a predator that only has selfish love for their prey. Promising not to hurt the victim again and again but still giving into their animal desires and abusive tendencies every time, often to the point of killing the abused and battered partner.
