In preparation for RM"s new album, I watched his live performance in the Rolling Hill, Seoul venue!!!!! Although there are individual videos of the songs performances, watching them back to back was spectacular!!!!! I cannot recommend you do the same, NOT for reaction but for your personal pleasure!

Yes, Salute to Mr. President. This is gonna be another legendary release but of course we already know it. Facts. Sooooo excited
What a way to tease us. I really don't know what to make of this sound. But after his last album this could go anywhere. It could be something totally experimental. Or this teaser could be misleading. I realised that he has a wound on the side of his eye. And his expression seems kind of depressed, distant, absent-minded, sad, irritated, lethargic. Combined with the title of the song, this could be about some kind of a relationship in which the partner left him. However, if it is meant metaphorically, it could also be about inspiration that has left him. That would match the "burnout" they all kind of felt towards their hiatus. I remember one of BTS - maybe Namjoon himself - saying that they don't know what to write about anymore and that they need new experiences, because up until their hiatus they had been just working almost all the time so they had no new ideas to bring to the table.
The filter on the video looks nice. The colors give off a nostalgic vibe.
Did you all realise the puff of either steam, smoke or dust behind Namjoon? If it is dust, the furniture behind him could be covered with dust. So this could be a very old, unused room. Question: Why is Namjoon sitting there? If we continue with my innital idea, this could be a metaphor for his inner world after inspiration has left him. So maybe he is longing for the inspiration from his earlier days. However, when he goes back to those days, none of the old ideas is usuable anymore. They neither match the person he is now nor the current world. So after he comes to that conclusion he feels down and yet cannot help but long for those days.
So if I'm right he would be trapped in a vicious cycle that he needs to exit. like exiting that room (leaving the past) and look for new inspiration in the present.
The "right place, wrong person" could fit my idea, but could also go somewhere else completely. Is that place his old world, but he himself does not fit in their anymore? I'm very curious. Whatever it will end up being, it sure inspired me once again.
It's about his journey of self-discovery...

AJ, it didn’t seem like anything specific changed his mood, he just feels better and connected sometimes. Also I see it that the Happiness and connection is always there whether he feels it or not. It waits for him to see it.
