If you clowns just came to the USA to criticize our country, then why don't you return to your God-forsaken homes in Ghana? (3:13). Are you three con artists who swindle people's money? I used to get a lot of e-mails from con artists from Ghana claiming to be investors, widows of kings looking for Americans to deposit their $millions in my bank account--yeah right. In the USA, homeless people are homeless because they want to be there. There is a lot government assistance for housing homeless people. If you want to be stupid by criticizing the USA homelessness, go ahead and continue making fools out of yourselves.

JOSE M PULIDO 2 - These young people are far from being “clowns”. You sound dumb to be honest. I watched all 21:40 of this video. Did you? At absolutely no point in the video did I hear them “criticize” america. Let me explain something to you. These are educated, beautiful people that exude joyfulness. If you interpret their laughing and smiling at some points as criticism, then that says more about you than them. All I heard from them was the contrast between what they see on tv and the reality. Then of course they had to adjust to the food. Finally, one thing about your comment
“homeless people are homeless because they want to be there”
If I’m being honest, this moves you from the sounding ignorant column, to the stupid column. I’m sure that most homeless people would disagree with you.
Aladi, I hope you can visit other areas in the US! Great video.

The way you talk, sounds like you don't respect yourself too much either! Show respect, get respect!

Ah yes, the American on-the-go culture. Its not common to stop and socialize even with a good friend if you are on a schedule or in your "routine" in America. If you want to make friends, schedule or work in events like lunch or drinks with them outside of that typical routine of theirs. I found working my way into a (usually weekly) study group of other students was a great way to create friends when I was in college. Don't be afraid to be forward! If you want someone to help you learn the local culture, literally tell them that! Americans love learning about foreigners and their culture because most of us never really leave the country. At the same time, they may find speaking to someone with a heavy accent intimidating at first and they don't want to be rude by asking you to repeat yourself too much. By being forward you can eliminate that barrier from the start. Cheers, I loved the video you guys are hilarious

The whole hair situation is truly going to depend very specifically upon where you live. In America you will find many more salons that do black hair in the south eastern states and urban areas. When you get into the northern Midwest, you are pretty much on your own. Expect that you'll have to travel to a large city, Chicago, Denver, St Louis, Detroit... And if you are thinking of moving to Montana, Idaho, Wyoming... just plan on going natural or shaving your head. LOL! 😊

I stumbled upon your video. Took me a bit to get the rythm of your English, but I think your being very helpful. What's more, I learned a lot about you guys. Rapid City SD, wow! That's about as vanilla white and bland as you can get!
Fortunately, most midwesterners in small cities and towns have NOT come from an environment of racism nor are they raised that way. Most have never met a black person and would be curious to do so, I think.
I'd lead your conversations with what region of Africa you are from, rather than your actual country cuz Americans are not geographically aware of Africa much at all. Teach them as you might an 8 yr old in that regard at first. Your careful English will ensure they aren't insulted. They'll just think you're being helpful. Even in the upper midwest, they are influenced by TV and would be apprehensive about a black American, but NOT a black African. Weird, but true.
Welcome, have fun and remember, hiking is for the scenery and exercise, not just to climb a hill. Fishing is for the competition, not the meal.

It is not wrong if you don't like all food here in America, we in America don't like all the food. That is why there is so much variety. There are many foreign food stores that are much less cost than the regular American stores. I am a USA citizen but if I cook Asian or Indian food I go to that store to buy the ingredients so much cheaper, especially the spices! The American stores sell spices at too high a price to cook Asian foods. If you like spicy food go to Indian stores. I can buy spices in bigger bags, and not in the little jars of American store. Also special rice types are lower cost in the foreign stores.

If your tummy keeps reacting, it might be a medical condition. You should take note of what you react to so you know what to avoid, as it could be anything. But really a lot of people - also white - react to some of the fiber strains found in wheat. Specially wheat grown in colder climates, so even if the wheat you eat from back home is good, you can still react to the wheat in Dakota. Pay attention when you eat and see if this is what makes your tummy upset, or if it's something else.

Great point to come with money!!! And homelessness in big cities is a big problem.. but the reasons are mixed and opinions are also varied. Drug addictions, low level criminals, mental illness.... Forcing them off the streets is impossible because folks are free to be self destructive. I recall visiting San Francisco and San Diego and even I.. an American that's lived in several states and types if communities.. was shocked and angry at them for abusing the system. Rapid City I think is a great mixture of rural and big city.

I think we all do much the same thing, thinking that things elsewhere are the perfect place, until we get there. There's something people say in America, and I guess other English-speaking countries, and maybe there's a similar saying in almost every culture: "Whatever side of the fence they are on, people imagine that the grass is always greener on the other side."
I think that one way to think of it is that, thanks to our human nature, it's hard to notice and remember the blessings we already have, until we leave them behind for someplace we think is better, but by the time we do, we have forgotten why we left it to begin with. Or, in other words, we should try to remember and count the blessings we do have, whenever we think that someplace abroad is the perfect place, and when we finally get abroad and that illusion of perfection is broken, we should also try to remember the blessings we noticed from afar as well as the bad things we didn't see until we got there.
This lady tells a great little story which expresses a similar sentiment:

Lmao As a black American that grew up in Chicago, Texas, North Carolina and Georgia. I strongly disagree this, I mean there over 50 metro areas over 1 million in the US. Most Americans themselves will have a culture shock if they go to a small isolate and un diverse places like Rapid City, But this his is very interesting videos never the less. cause they seeing a small town America many Americans haven't seem themselves.
I would say to most American........... America is some where between Rapid City and NY culturally. but there no such thing as a "real America" ... I hope of day they get to travel America.

    • @bradbilbo6696

Texas, North Carolina and Georgia are not LA or NYC. I see a lot of immigrants going to NYC which does not represent the way most Americans live. If you want to know what life is really like for most Americans you wouldn't pick NYC. Rapid City will do just fine. Just because you hang out in the hood doesn't mean most Americans do.
