They really gave their all for this MAMA performance. Kookie also hurt his back from hanging from those wires like that too. But BME is still one the BEST performances I’ve seen

YES YES YES OMG I'M SO GLAD YOU WATCHED THE PERFORMANCE. MAMA 2016 is my favourite of their award show performances from start to finish, followed by MMA 2017. If we look at individual song performances it's a little different, but MAMA 2016 Fire is definitely top 3. They really stepped up with the extra stage time they were given and showed everyone that they were here and they were STAYING. Gosh. So iconic. I'm literally tearing up. 😭💞
Bangtan always goes 100% and over for an award show, making it seem like their concerts! My favorite is definitely MMA 2019, that shit was jaw dropping spectacular and was also my first real time experiencing it as an army at that time😭💜

I got inspired to rewatch the whole mama of 2016 again before this video to see if the performance was really that amazing compared to the others. To this day, the concept of the performance was original. Furthermore I think the performance stood out because of the story telling, choreo (all the back up dancers) and the light effects. It also had a shock factor which had been missing at MAMA for 2 of 3 years. (Yes, I have been a Kpop fan for a while now and have watched them as a pirate because streaming on YT wasn't a thing yet). Although their following performances at mama have been better, I remember this one the most!
💜 I can't truly say I disagree that their later MAMA & MMA performances are "better", lol, because like choosing my bias, choosing which performance is my favorite is always a constant inner debate with a different performance coming forward for attention 😁. This performance definitely remains a favorite for me though & I love when others are as blown away as I was the first (second, third, fiftieth 😉) time 💜

Maybe longer? So many props etc. Better stream quality too for MaMa. They also grow as artists each year so I want to say they are better :). But yeah this one is most memorable >.

I was looking through K drama one night about three years ago, came across this award show and watched it. This is how I found BTS and have been hooked sense. I love watching your reactions, I’m amazed how you sing along with them and you make me smile with your dance moves. I do not agree with people Those who promote that hobi dance is devoid of emotion . It was a dance full of emotion . Very expressive facial expressions and his voice too. Hobi dancing isn't just about street dance. He is known for different types of dance .It doesn't just follow the beat only Without Emotion . Even the street dance is full of emotion why they think it just follows the beat ?!!!!!

it still send me shivers everytime i watch Jimin dancing blindfolded. He might or might not be able to see clearly on those but to have your eyesight even partially covered while dancing that kind of choreography is so damn difficult, this is why professional and non-professional dancers who watched Jimin do it got so fascinated. They concluded Jimin must have very strong sense of balance and practiced so hard to be able to trust his body like that.
Be careful listening to people who say Hobi "only follows the beat" and doesn't carry emotion when he dances. They're just trying to belittle his skills. 😞 He's both technically talented and good at conveying emotion when dancing. In mv and on stage. He gets compliments from dancers on this regularly. :( Please don't listen to those people.

Like... Jimin dancing with obstructed view but also still nailing it, especially being able to stop the turns at the right time to still face the audience.. I don't actually know how difficult that is for an average professional dancer, but Jimin never graduated as a professional dancer so.... For an amateur (beginner) it's hard, I have to do turns during my salsa lessons and learning how to correctly turn your head and then your body (as an adult) is hard. Like I keep loosing balance >.

While I love this performance to bits, I wont ever forgive the cameramen for doing Hobi dirty like that. The angles were awful and didn't highlight his movements well at all. In fact, the camera work for a majority of the performances that night was pretty awful.
Honestly this is why I'm not a fan of this performance. They really just panned behind hobi and missed all of his arm work and his legendary high kick. 😭💔 I'm not a fan.

The MMA stage for Fire in 2016 was awesome too, plus they won their first Daesang at MMA and it's still my favorite moment until today
