I can't believe he got me with the "crisis of consonants" pun. I didn't see it coming, well done. And proof that you can do a great set without going blue at all.
"Crisis of consonants." Nice one.
Crisis of consonance got me 😂😂😂
Consonants.
you are missing one
Such a lovely build up to a gentle witty punchline .
I’ve seen him live in a small theatre near me ,& thoroughly enjoyed the experience .
One of the best standup comedy pieces; Along with Bill Burr's Philadelphia rant, Jim Jeffries' Gun Control, Dave Chappelle's Bill Cosby piece from Age of Spin and George Carlin's Balance the Budget.
A few good men.
He’s a lawyer, a pretty good lawyer, until he has a crisis of confidence and can’t lower anymore.
Then a good looking woman convinces him to be a better lawyer.
This is so beautifully written.
Rich Hall is great, always enjoy his shows. It's no wonder he's done well in the UK.
And you must be the queen of england's corpse
A brilliant few minutes of observation and word play.
When the bit lands so good you have to talk over laughs and claps at the end of that part of the set must be an awesome feeling. Imma check this guy out.
That was much funnier than I thought it would be based on the title.
I agree,,,didn't want to laugh but,,good humor
1:50 the title joke begins
Tom Cruise has played one part his entire career and has a range from A to B!
till he had a crisis of confidence,,,,,,
Watch more Tom Cruise movies bruh
Him in Interview with the vampire is not the same as him in Born on the fourth of July. Jerry Maguire isn't the same as Collateral. Basically u don't know what you're talking about
@@anujoseph_10 When he was young, Cruise briefly tried to break through into the high tier of acting with Born on the Fourth of July. That was pretty much it.
Since then he's basically either Ethan Hunt or Evil Ethan Hunt. (Les Grossman, Frank TJ Mackey, Lestat, the guy from Collateral). He does a good job at Ethan Hunt but I think he's better at Ethan Hunt's evil twin.
I enjoy his work, but let's not pretend he's Daniel Day-Lewis here.
Crisis of consonants 😆😆😆
Just saw him perform at Eden court. Awesome comedian, he’s amazing with audience work.
Did not see that coming. The joke was good enough to let go at that point but I'm guessing he's been in the UK so long that he couldn't pass up the extra word play. Nicely done and well appreciated.
The ever-excellent Rich Hall !
I met Tom in a bar and challenged him to a dogfight. He thought I meant for us to get in some supersonic jets or something similar and shoot at each other whilst doing loop de loop! All I did was just set my dog on him! It ended okay and Tom was a real gentleman about it all! Nice guy!
And then everybody clapped...
Then he ran a fast food chain, a pretty good fast food chain too, but he ran out of ketchup. He had a crisis of condiments so he needs a good looking woman to take him to the supermarket so he can get some more ketchup.
good one!!
Then.... he's an undertaker ... a pretty good undertaker too. but then people stop dying.. has a crisis of condolence.. meets a pretty woman who convinces him to start killing people again ....
The whole Tom Cruise "dont look him in the eye" thing was down to a street shoot where extras were told not to look at Cruise as the character was supposed to be a spy, not Tom Cruise. So they'd not be all 😲 in the background of the scene.
Yeah I found that hard to believe. He's more the smiley celebrity type.
He's a spy. He's pretty good spy too. Till he has a crisis of confidence....
Hard to believe. Surely, extras would nearly always be told that. For every actor. More likely they wouldn't need to be told.
Otherwise, in every movie, all the extras would be looking at the main actors, all the time.
So yeah, your explanation doesn't seem accurate.
I remember him on Letterman's first talk show, the morning gig on NBC. Seems like 100 years ago but its only been 43.
That last joke 😂
I'm I'm sitting here watching a few good men where Tom Cruise is sitting across from the memorial bridge having a crisis of confidence of being a schister lawyer😂😂😂😂😂😂
Luckily he had Demi Moore as co-counsel. To "strenuously object"!
His part in Vanilla sky is the reverse of this.
The Welsh woman bit is unexpected and genius!
I can't stoop that low to see Cruises eyes.
I NEED MORE SNIGLETS, RICH!!!
very well crafted joke. applause
Brilliant massively underrated comic.
Tom Cruise 😂🤣😂 Sounds about right.
Interview With a Vampire
Pretty good vampire
Until he has a crisis of confidence and meets a young woman who drains all the blood from him
I seem to remember Tom Cruise in Cliffhanger, in which he played a rock climber. A pretty good rock climber as it happens and, well you know the rest.. He had a crisis of confidence...etc etc.
This was true 12 years ago, and as much as I loved the new maverick film I remembered this and it's STILL THE FILM FORMAT 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Wonder what the plot for the new top gun maverick movie would be?
I believe he makes a pretty good Top Gun, but…………………
Probably would involve a crisis of confidence somewhere😀
Class
Still holds for top gun 2
Not Necessarily the News. I remember Mr Hall from that show. He had a great phrase "Esso Asso" which is, the person who cuts through a gas station to beat the traffic light. Lol
I'm glad there's someone else who uses the word Esso Asso.
The Esso Asso sounds like it could have been one of his "snigglets". I remember his "What do you call that one potato chip in each package that looks and tastes like crap? A chud."
We use that every time we see someone cut through a corner gas station! 😂
The only exception to this is Eyes Wide Shut. And even there he’s a doctor (and a pretty good one) who has a crisis of confidence.
This funny dude reminds me of mo szyslak from the simpsons lol
Rich also thinks that!, look at some of his other material where he refers to himself as mo!.
@@andrewparfrement8583 ha ha that’s class
Maybe because that who Mo is based on.
Still true. Top Gun Maverick 😂😂😂
Lol
Had no idea he was still performing...
Busy producing all his documentaries on YT ?
😄😄😄
Tom is funny when he play comedy character
Moe Sizlak 🍺
10/10
So ture about Tom
I walked past Cruise once, he turned his back on me.
In “War of the Worlds”, it was about becoming a better father/parent. Except this time there was no beautiful woman, just aliens.
Let’s talk about “Edge of Tomorrow”
He's a soldier. He's a pretty good soldier. Until he gets killed.
He's a soldier. He's a pretty good soldier. Until he gets killed.
He's a soldier. He's a pretty good soldier. Until he gets killed.
He's a soldier. He's a pretty good soldier. Until he gets killed...
@@Markus_Andrew LOL😂, Perfect summary.

LOL😂, Perfect Summary
@@LordHayabusa85 Cheers 🙂I did actually enjoy the movie though.
Pretty good_looking aliens though :)
It’s funny because it’s true
Tom Cruise. The man who embraced Scientology and is now capable of talking out of both ends.
One of the best comedians since Live at the Apollo started. I stopped watching comedy shows when the so-called comedians could only talk about the fact they were "gay". Not funny and not interested.
One of the funniest men 😂😂
Let’s see, did War of the Worlds fit the pattern? Not really, but this fellow is right about most of Tom Cruise’s early films. In War of the Worlds, Cruise was a bad father, and was forced to become a better father by a global catastrophe.
There isn’t much character growth in the Mission Impossible movies, but that’s OK because those movies are mainly about how crazy the stunts can get, and how intense the action scenes are. The Mission Impossible movies are pretty good in that regard.
log eating beaver? how kinky
I was surprised he's really funny
He was a pretty good actor, until he had a crisis of coincidence, in Vanilla Sky, where he saw a poster of his beautiful future wife and he couldn't act anymore. Then she divorced him and he lost it completely.
Have I got that right?
Heir to George Carlin?
Crappy American humour yet again?
How about you buzz off, pal!
@@weedwin7356 I will not! (And I'm not your pal)
This one of the few who actually do well in the UK and for good reason
Crappy it is.
@@aishwariyasweety2433 That's what I was going to say- Rich Hall is probably more popular in the U.K.
