so iturned myadblock of to see if i got ads on BBC contenet, and i do, i didnbth think the BBC were allowed to make money from advertising, this chanell gets upto 9k a month through ad revenue

The BBC *chooses* not to show advertisements because it gets its money from TV licenses, and therefore has no need to show adverts. However, it is *permitted* to show adverts as long as they are before or after a programme, rather than in the middle. These rules, as far as I am aware, do not apply to RUclips.
