When you get to it, the only gun models worth using are the Blomefield's, Woolwich, and French Re-Bored (with an honorable mention to the Desagulier/Long Borgard guns for the lighter calibres). The EIC carronades are objectively better than their Carron counterparts for a given mount weight, and the Congreve gunnades are situationally useful as ersatz long guns in lieu of other suitable weapons. The EIC-pattern short guns are also useful for frigates and the upper decks of line ships, since they dramatically increase your broadside weight at the cost of ranged performance. Everything else is crap.
