There is a special place in my heart for A2's (though none of my rifles are A2s any more) but having options is a good thing.

This is a high quality channel and I’m upset that I did not discover it any sooner. Great content and short form videos.

Damn... if my muzzle device wasn't pin/welded, I would of bought this rail in a heartbeat.

Looks cool, but I'll stick to Magpul. Less hassle & saves me money.

You need a quick release gas block for all that messing around....

That would be kind of cool actually.....

So am I getting it right that the Gridlok handguard is not actually free-float or quick-detach with the A2 front sight present? It seems that the A2 front sight/gas block combo had to be pinned together with the Gridlok handguard, unless I misunderstood. I have a 20" AR with A2 front sight and I'm looking in to whether or not I can use the Gridlok handguard for my setup.

It is still free float if the front sight is not touching. The A2 is not pinned to the gridlock, there are holes so that you can get a punch in and attach the block to the barrel but the only contact point of the gridlok in this A2 setup was the barrel nut. As for quick-detach and have an A2 front sight... no it will not quick detach because the A2 will keep the gridlok from being removed. Only a low profile gas block with help with that.
