Thanks for the video! I had chronic painful arthritis caused by inflammation. I also had chronic high blood pressure. I removed sugar from my diet which reduced my general inflammation and arthritis, which I believe also reduced my blood pressure.
I love Dr. Story's videos on blood pressure because I've incorporated some of the things he has recommended to lower your blood pressure and they've worked! Thank you for these videos.
YES!!!! Thank you !!!! And Drs ignore it when you mention it as a possibility!! Another lesser known cause is Structural hypertension. Instability of C1, C2 causing BP to be elevated. Dr’s ignore this one too.
You are so absolutely right. I have 2 bad shoulders, my right has 4 torn tendons, swollen, hurts constantly lt is so 20yr old previous surgery that is degrading. Both wrists suffer from carpal impingement My B/P was great up until about 9-12 mos ago when all this pain started adding up. My B/p is in the 150-160 range when I wake up in the morning. What do the cardiologists and primary care docs due. Drugs, not working, increase the dosage, no change, add more Drugs and no effect. It is very frustrating. I would try going back to a DC but I had a really bad (hurt me bad) visit about 7 yrs ago. And I'm afraid to start going again.
Yep I was still am in excellent shape, former military, 4 years in special forces, so no choice but to be in good shape. Martial arts instructor, personal trainer, nutritionist, Multiple injuries, wounded by an I.E.D. even then blood pressure was excellent. On a few years broke my neck in a car accident, then was rear ended several times. SO lingering pain from broken neck, and sciatic nerve damage. Woke Christmas day a few years ago and was in excruciating pain in my lower back and right leg, right leg paralyzed. Now on pain management. Blood pressure started climbing after I broke my neck. Blood pressure is high normal. I still work out, despite the back pain, walking gives me jolts in my back and leg, but I can pedal a bike as long as I keep my butt solid in the seat and don't move side to side, or stand up. Bike about 24 miles a day.
@@DIDYOUSEETHAT172 Thank you for your service. You are a warrior. I hope you get the medical treatment to alleviate you chronic pain & blood pressure. 👍👍
Totally agree. I had Vestibular Neuritis a few years ago. Extreme vertigo, couldn’t walk without holding onto someone. My blood pressure was sky high. The doctor didn’t know why. I changed doctors !
Of course there are exceptions. My wife suffers with chronic pain because if RA, osteoporosis and neuropathy. But her blood pressure is always normal when she take it. And I mean very normal, like 110/70 as an example.
No one knew this? I realize when I'm in pain and take my blood pressure it's high. Strangely I'm in a pain a lot due to my neck and back and my blood pressure is high most days but not all. I have white coat badly. I went into my OB and I hate those exams so I was petrified. My pressure was so high it was crazy. It was fine when I went home but they checked me twice while there and it was 180s 190s over 100/115 😂😂. I make sure I'm in-tune with my body and don't let docs scare me.
@doejohn8674 calcium channel blocker, amlopidine BESYLATE 5 mg. I survived a Hemorrhagic stroke, blood pressure was the cause, but they don't know what caused the blood pressure issue, so they say it's hereditary
Over the handlebars? Yeah I'm going to pass on that one I think forever. Had a bad bike spill three years ago where I was in this constructing neighborhood, reversing my route out of it. There was this patch of sand in the early morning right in front of me which I never saw because I was riding into a sunrise. I just happened to start a stylistic hard left on my Marin hybrid in it, and lost it all the way from the rear wheel I think it was. I was accelerating, to but not at my cruise speed yet. Slammed hard on my left side Broke the collar bone for sure, along with tearing up shoulder muscles. Hurt like hell, couldn't use the arm at all for hours. Diagnosed it myself entirely. No doctor. Stayed off the bike for about 25 days and just let the thing heal. It did and well, albeit when I lost some pounds last year, I noticed how funny it looked compared to the right undamaged shoulder. Everything was warped with muscle in the wrong space and with the bone looking off. But so what? It all works! So I guess during the first couple of days of healing and pain there, I'd of had high BP too. Interesting. But I have to say that was so much pain for those days, and I felt so disabled from it, the last thing I even would of guessed at was high BP!
I was given lisinopril 28 years ago because my p was 130/82. Now I have knee pain from bone on bone arthritis and can’t take anything for the pain because of my damaged kidneys. I don’t know where to turn..
Get a knee replacement, iam 75 had my right knee bone on bone .this last January VA hospital knee replacement .So good now no pain no meds moving freely. No regrets
Even when I'm in pain my blood pressure is still in the 90s and low 100s I feel like my doctor is mad at me because my blood pressure won't go up to 120 / 80 but I've tried adding salt and potassium rich foods And my blood pressure still won't go up to 120/80!!! And every time I feel like my doctor is pissed, but I'm very active I eat healthy I exercise I've heard many times it active people have low-ish blood pressure naturally I don't know vaccination Mark speaking of oil I remember my mom would always complain about her high blood pressure she demonized salt she said salt is evil nobody can eat salt She was so annoying with the salt But she cooked everything in oil she deep fried everything she added oil to foods that don't need oil, but she also didn't work out and she ate junk food or just more than what she needed but it's the damn oil on everything that maybe that was the cause of her blood pressure I don't know
Dr Nathan Thompson often tells how a toe has impact on your heart: just hit it with a hammer and see what your heart does (to explain that everything is linked in a body).
More money in a heart procedure. Be careful what you take. They tried to put me on one that causes nerve damage within 12 weeks and there's no going back 😣

Try explaining anxiety and BP to a typical family doctor.

Question - what about emotional pain? Could that raise your blood pressure?
Absolutely, stress will definitely increase blood pressure.
Lord BLESS DR. ADAM IN JESUS NAME.!!!

as soon as you mentioned cooking and oil I knew what was going to happen !
Wow....thank you.
If I take magnesium, my blood pressure gets too low. Dizzy, etc. So, I'm not taking magnesium at the moment.
Are you on any medications that might lower your blood pressure?
