It's a DX12 problem, You need to do a mod to make it look like it should on the Legion go and Rog ally, the steam deck is not affected because they use the Vulkan library, in fact if you use bazzite on the Go and Ally you won't have any problem with the graphics.
I made a performance mod for Silent Hill 2 called "SH2 Essentials". Its targeted at all PCs not just handhelds but it works really well! 16% uplift with no visual downgrades, and 31% uplift with minor visual downgrades (depending on what you choose). I recommend anyone watching the video to give it a try.
Write a letter to Valve, and tell them to step their game up. Switch 2 is going to smother both next year with its more impressive Nvidia T239 with DLSS.
They (Valve) would be going with the Ryzen Z2 Extreme APU from AMD and the likely release date for SD2 would be 2H 2026. With increased battery life like close to ROG Ally X and possibly 2TB variant with 32GB memory.
They are working on the Deck 2 but we won't see that probably until end of 2025. That'll either have a custom version of the Z2 Extreme oder maybe even of the Z3. We'll see. Nevertheless, the Steamdeck is awesome but I want more power and a bigger battery in the next one! You can insteall Steam OS on the Ally X though (or Ally 2 next year) so that's also always an option.
@@BroHazeman It's not the driver, the problem is in DX12, if you play from bazzite you won't have that problem in any of the two because steamOS uses vulkan as graphic library.
@@BroHazeman Its crazy taht the Framerate are so low on both of these devices... I saw other Test on Steam Deck with much better Framerates.. but there is still a constant stutter.
@JeydetaJosen this person made the Ally X play like a steamdeck the entire video. This isn't really a fair comparison video. The steamdeck can ONLY do 15w. You wouldn't play an Ally X like a steamdeck you'd play it LIKE A ALLY X. At 25w. That makes a huge difference actually.

Did you mess the settings up on the Ally X on purpose, or nah? I'll give you the benefit of the doubt. I hope it was an honest mistake.
I doubt it was a mistake, at the end of the day these videos have to be edited and there is no way you would miss this, it's done on purpose no doubt.
It's a bug from the game guys, windows has this.. but steamOS works fine.. so its not the handhelds fault

There is a problem with software Lumen on the ROG Ally. You need to enable hardware RT in this game because there is no fall back otherwise.

Could you try the AllyX with Bazzite? Or is the UE5 LumenGI issue a hardware thing?
Enable tsy tracing, use something like loselesss scaling and it runs well and looks good
