Pretty sure the cooler was set to just above freezing. Tipping it upside-down releases carbonation to keep enough pressure, the machine is a small anti-griddle, aka a cold plate, meant to drain just a little more heat out of the liquid. At that point, the pressure is what's keeping it from freezing. Once you crack the top, the pressure is released and the ice crystals start to form.
For anyone who wants to try this, you can do this at home. If you set a drink in the freezer for several hours and avoid moving it or jostling it at all, it may go into a supercooled state - the temp of the liquid has dropped below freezing, but it hasn't actually become ice yet. To activate the freezing process, simply tap the bottle on something. And now you have a slush! Works for bottled water too, but it has to be pretty pure, tap water won't work.
@@raged5903 It unfortunately varies depending on your freezer, due to temperature differences in make, model, setting, and even individual unit (sorta like how some ovens can run hotter or colder than their display and internal gauge says, with no 2 ovens able to truly hit the exact same temp at the same setting, even if identical models)
@raged5903 put a cold bottle from your refrigerator into the freezer directly in front of the vent where the cold air comes from for about 25 to 30 minutes then very carefully remove it from the freezer without shaking it then give it a good smack to watch it instantly freeze up into slush.
Place soda in freezer for 3 hours 15 minutes. Take the soda out and open the bottle and immediately close it to do a quick release of the gas. Then tilt the bottle upside down and it will crystalize to a slushy like consistency.

I believe you can do this by turning your drink over as demonstrated and placing it in your freezer for a (need to experiment) period of time. Long time ago there was a video of a similar type where the pop was poured into a dish and became a frosty (slurpee)
I saw another RUclips video from someone else in Japan that showed a similar option but was only available for regular Coke 'original taste', whereas for you in Thailand, there's more options, like Coke 'no sugar', Sprite, and even Fanta! I kinda want to try frozen Fanta Orange or Grape now if i can recreate the setup with my fridge at home. (Edit: I then searched RUclips and realised it was a video from you)
You can do this at home too. You just need to not disturb the drink and ideally a chest freezer. Then take it out and give it a shake or a squeeze to see it become slush.
Every once & a while ill throw one in the freezer & hit it just right where open it & turns to slush... Best thing ever!! Especially when not meaning too!
Should do that but pour it into a bowl as soon as you open it and see if it freezes in the bowl but fyi it’s more about how cold that cooler is then the gadget you push the button on
Me and my buddy use to do this with water bottles in Iraq. After a long day in 120f+ heat on our missions, we always looked forward to those slushy waters. Pull them out the freezer and give them a lil shake and they turn to slush in seconds 🤤.
It's not that it's expensive in USA, the thing is that they have to keep lower prices in some countries or else no one will buy it as the drink may end up even more expensive than a regular meal.
@@MatLCF if it can be that cheap in another country, it can be here also. issue is government greed, creating high inflation and making our money not worth jack. it has been like this for decades and they always try to blame capitalism so the government can keep lining pockets.
@@Bos_Meong Well...$1000 a month is nothing now. The median price for a home is $299,000 (a fixer-upper type), for a vehicle is $35,000 (most likely preowned/ used)...and if you plan to pay rent, you'll be out-of-pocket $2799 a month before 'utility' bills (also, if you plan to rent an apartment you have to make at least three-times the monthly rent payment to qualify for said apartment). Also, a burger with fries and a drink is now $30, groceries for a month will put you back about $890 (depending on where you shop), and to fill-up the tank of gas in your car it will cost you $4.69 a gallon. So...if you make $1000 a month, you'll be on the street, living in the sewers and eating out of the dumpsters.
The bottles in the fridge are supercooled. It just means that if not disturbed the ice does not form. The light contraption she put the bottle in is there for no reason at all unless it vibrates. As she turned the bottle upside down and back up again, that started the process. The water in the drinks is very pure so needs to be kickstarted into freezing. Normally impurities in the water help seed the crystallisation of ice.
I wish we had one of these where I am I would love to make my soda a slushie at times without having to stick it in the freezer for 3 hours then forget about it and freeze it
Here is something cool if YOU DIDN"T KNOW. For a LIMITED TIME. ANY coke product with a Yellow Cap will be made with Cane Sugar. You can actually do this at home BUT it's a bit tricky. Just put the coke in the Freezer BUT take it out before it starts to freeze up. You want it at the Edge of Freezing to make it work. If you go to some countries you will see a machine in icy water swishing back a forth glass soda bottles. This will do the same thing. The swishing just prevent ice from forming inside.
The machine is doing nothing, the light does nothing. All it is.... is the fridge keeps the drink just barely at a temp above freezing, he taps it on the table and it freezes.
I make frozen water slushies sometimes just by putting a water bottle in the freezer getting it out at the right moment and then hitting it and it turns Slushy
Isn't it the same effect than when you leave it in the freezer a little too long but take it out before it completely freezes? I've done if a few times lol

I thought the plate was ultrasonic,
Similar to Guiness
The plate could also be an ultrasonic vibrator that kicks off the ice crystals to start forming faster.
