Usually Metroid Games have this “possibilities” in game so that more experienced players try different pathways. I wouldn’t be surprised if they really did that on purpose… I mean, you literally need just the morph ball to pass right there and the exact mechanism that opens that path is located exactly behind it. It is almost as if it says “Congratulations, your reward is here”
Or you have. Don't ever watch a video on "cow hooves" if RUclips randomly selects it for you, your "recommended" feed will be filled with them for life. And I don't know if I'd say I was blessed considering I don't monetize any of my videos... 🤑 💲 💰
@@xtalviper At least Metroid seems alot more interesting than whatever I'd have to guess about cow hooves. :P And worst of all? I'm not even a Metroid fan, tbh. (It's still interesting alltogether...)
@@daliyasilliesqxdsgd3494 Honestly treatment of hooves is rather interesting from a medical and trades standpoint. Unfortunately though once you've seen a couple hoof treatment videos, you've kinda seen them all.
"If you didn't do the bomb jump to open the gate from the other side in the Great Tree Hall earlier, you'll have to do it now to get through, or else take the longer way around."Actually, you CAN do that DBJ from the other side:ruclips.net/video/GF2CISwKLdo/видео.html
Yes, of course you can. But the point is that when taking this path when following my guide, when you get here you're on the side of the gate you see in the video. You either have to do the bomb jump from this side, or go the long way around to get to the next area in the guide, the Phazon Mines East Transport.
This skip is so fucking hard, although I much prefer it over the Hydro Access Tunnel or Elevator Access A skip in order to get to Phazon Mines proper. Any tips you can offer on how to succeed at the skip? Perhaps another way to get to Phazon Mines without going Out of Bounds?
You will want to lay the 3rd bomb a bit sooner than normal and make sure you are as close to the bars as possible while also making sure to be in the edge there. ^^ For me, it is easier when the camera is so that you can just hold straight upwards (more or less) after the last bomb has exploded.
Dario Citrini Thanks for the reply, but I already got it. Coincidentally, by doing everything you just said, lol. Unfortunately, I still needed the Spiderball and Phazon Suit to complete the game in order to get the Artifact of Wild and Newborn respectively (This was done on Hard, btw).
There's also another way you can get power bombs early. This one can be done on the trilogy version but not the magma room power bomb. If you go to phandrana's edge, the farthest back where the artifact is. You can actually jump on the side of the tree and climb the platform. There's a visual tutorial on this but it's how you get it early. So you can get The Gravity Suit and a power bomb at the same time. Or just skip the Gravity suit all together since now you have access to phazon mines via magmoor caverns.
@@xtalviper But how would you go about it tho? I know almost nothing about sequence breaks in Prime apart from early high jump which suckingly was patched out by Nintendo because too much fun.
@@hiiambarney4489 The video is part of my entire guide full of these, the link is in the description above. If you don't have an older version (which are easy to get), there are other guides out there for your version of Metroid Prime, as each later version has things it can and can't do as far as glitches, so would change the run path. However, all speedrunners are going to run the fastest version, which is the original first version. If you have a version after the second one, it's not even worth trying as scan dashing is completely patched out, which is a major part of speedrunning and sequence breaking for this game.
You did the thing I was trying to do my entire childhood. My life is complete knowing this is possible.
Feeling the same here :')

What?!! Are you freaking kidding me?! That's amazing.
Bomb jump is such an amazing strategy

My first playthrough years ago I actually thought you were supposed to do this until I looked at a guide for help
Get to phazon mines with only the power suit LOL
Thanks!
thats neat !

Oh yeah of course not doing the DBJ implies having to cross the Sunken Frigate Orpheon. My bad for misunderstanding, sry ^^

Howd you get power bombs tho?

Yea I did just fine without spider ball when I was SB. Just have to be creative but holy hell I have good memories of that.
I for some reason enjoy running the worst version (trilogy wii u)
And I have fun trying to improve those times
