- This is my 300 gallon SUPER easy fish pond setup for my native fish!!

Nice to have something to keep you occupied I spent a small fortune in camping gear soon as this virus is over I'm packing up and going g in a month long wilderness camp 💯👍

I just put this (maintaining fish tanks) into perspective and realized that your hobby takes a ton of work! You must have put so many man hours! Thank you for sharing.

Like the catchphrase! Also like the fish room. I have a 20 gallon with a betta and some minnows, a roughly 2k gallon pond I dug with a largemouth and bluegill my son caught and a perch I caught, and a 110 gallon feed trough with a bunch of goldfish that i feed to the bass. Do not have the room/opportunity for a fish room like yours, so keep up the great work! It's fun to see what you're doing down in that basement of yours!

Honestly this man care for his fish wayyy better than the Joey dude, rawfishing and catchemall so please, I beg you never do the same crap that they’re doing. Do it like Rod and the king of DIY. You maybe not have as much views and money but at least you’re doing good things for the animals. Also I’m guessing the big fish you’re getting is a redtail because to many people keep them without knowing they will grow into giants in like 6 months but since you said nati e and I’m sure you’re not in the amazon then maybe a gar?

Those guys just do the pool pond shit for attention, not as a serious hobby which is sad because they had some good ideas at first and cool fish. That's why I like this channel, simplistic but functional.

I would add a nice thick glob of silicon sealant around the drain valve as back up to the Teflon tape and threaded drain plug.
It's cool to see a local fish keeper making videos like this. I work at Nebraska Aquatic Supply and it would be cool to pick your brain sometime

Personally I think that it's better then a pool pond. It wont wear out like they do and it's a lot harder to end up with any holds it.

i just got a 300 gallon stock pond today and strapped it to the top of a chevy cobalt!!
He had fun making this, you can tell.

I like that "every fish is a keeper." Just the other day I went to PetSmart looking for some catfish. They didn't have the specific species I was after, but they did have three otocinclus. One of them did not look good in their tank and I was worried about losing him if I brought him home. Not even 48hrs in my tank, and he's already looking perfectly healthy, if a little skinny.

In my opinion you should change out your pool pond for a stock tank. The reason why is because you have a billion years with the stock tank, where as the pool pond is only good for a few and the darker color of the stock will make your fish look better.

I had the leak problem with mine didn't test it was so excited fixed it of course but next time I will definitely take the extra step
Adding that plumbers tape was an easy fix for me luckily!

Awesome, I’m using a 100 gallon Rubbermaid stock tank from tractor supply, got my 2 koi fish and my shubunkin goldfish in there

I would HIGHLY recommend a stock tank over the pool. Right now the stock tanks are much cheaper too. More durable, longer lasting, less chance of popping!

you should use Pea Gravel -- (6:00) i use them tanks also for small Koi ponds outside and the pea gravel looks nice on the bottom
